    What job alert are you going to set up on LinkedIn? Let me know in the comments below! And remember you're still not sure how to use LinkedIn, like, what to post in the newsfeed, who to follow, how to connect with people from different places, or how the algorithm works, then grab our 3-Part LinkedIn Mini-Series here: heatheraustin.samcart.com/products/linkedin-job-search-blueprint-offer/

    I have my Job Alerts setup by key words like "Managing Director", but I didn't know you could add so many filters. Thank you!
    Are you saying you update your resume for EACH job? If so, mind blown. Because I "typically" just use "one resume to rule them all". What do you recommend.

      Hi there! So glad you've started using job alerts already. Using the filters will really help. And yes, you want to tailor every resume to each position. Let me know how it goes.

    My contract comes to an end this Thursday. I'm actively looking for IT infrastructure roles outside of IR35. Which is the best way to attract future employer's?

    • @ProfessorHeatherAustin
      @ProfessorHeatherAustin  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! To attract IT infrastructure roles outside of IR35, optimize your resume and LinkedIn, network for referrals, and highlight your problem-solving skills. Customize applications, maintain relevant certifications, and consider creating a portfolio of IT projects to showcase your expertise. Hope this helps!

    Heather how to deal with boss/recruiter gaslighting us when its our 1st interview as fresher ? To be very specific when i gave my 1st interview i remember asking him about what would be my job designation like ? To that he replied in some anger that you don't have that kind of experience so you've to handle the office work as well as site work so i remained silent but declined that offer by not approaching them again.. so how to counter such a situation if it happens in future ?? How to politely set boundaries or ask about detailed information of job profile, holidays, work hours etc

    • @ProfessorHeatherAustin
      @ProfessorHeatherAustin  9 месяцев назад +3

      Hi! Great questions. Handling such situations can indeed be tricky. In future interviews, maintain a calm demeanor and politely express your interest in understanding the role fully. You might say, 'I'm keen on contributing effectively from day one, so I’d appreciate more clarity on the job profile, work hours, and any additional responsibilities.' Setting boundaries and asking detailed questions is completely professional and helps ensure the role is a good fit for both parties!

    Hi Heather. My job search is showing irrelevant listing. Can you please let me know how to solve the problem

    • @ProfessorHeatherAustin
      @ProfessorHeatherAustin  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there! To refine your job search results, ensure you're using precise keywords related to your desired positions. Utilize filters like location and job type to narrow down the listings. If you're on LinkedIn, keep your profile's skills and experiences current. Clear out any old or irrelevant saved searches, and consider using broader search terms initially, then apply filters for specificity. Engage regularly with relevant job listings, as many platforms refine results based on user activity. Best of luck in your search!
