To me, two of the nicest smells are a fresh new modeling magazine and the smell when opening a new kit. Thank you for the video. My favorite will always be Tamiya kits.
Valeriia Buzine of ICM Holdings contacted a few IPMS groups (Northern VA and a few others) a few months back and we built the models at their vendor table. One of our members drove most of them from the DC area up to Madison (I flew up w/mine). My B-26 wasn't finished in time, and I had to tack-glue part of it that day so don't look too closely... Valeriia went on to tell us the "Flak Bait" version will be available this November if interested.
It is unbelievable that Iwata had a big booth there, YET they did not have any presence at the Shizuoka Hobby Show in Japan. I found that very disappointing that they were not in their own backyard. I wanted to buy replacement parts for my airbrushes.
I wish you'd shown more of that rf4c model. I've been wondering if anyone made a model of reconnaissance model of the phantom. I was in the Air Force in the 60s and that's what we flew out of Mountain Home Air Force Base
Very nice Zoukie-Mura but WHERE is the 1/32 Ki-43 Hayabusa? One is desperately needed, not more 109's and 190's. That Value gear rack was mind boggling.Thanks for the vid Andy.
I remember many years ago reading a comment from someone in the model industry, quote: "I would rather have 10% of the P-51 market than 100% of the Macchi 202 market..." I agree that there is too much duplication in the kit world but the few manufacturers that are left are going to make what they think are the more popular. We do need a new Oscar. I remember that Revell and Hasegawa each came out with their 1/32 scale kits at about the same time.....in 1974!
@AlanToon-fy4hg I think Hasegawa made a new in the 2000s sometime ago ,after new 190s and a few other Japanese planes ,Tony ,Raiden and Tojo and I do believe they make a new Zero also
Looking forward to the day when Zoukei Mura releases the razorback and bubbletop versions of the 1/32 Ki-100. They already made a sneak peek of that project in another model show two years ago.
I wonder if that Monogram C-47 has the paratroopers like the original had back in the day. I remember my kit also came with a special how to diorama pamphlet done by Shepard Paine. Can't believe I threw those away because I had them from the C-47, B-17G, B-29, B-25 and P-61.
It sounds like the audio was repeated? I'm sure I heard the person in the background telling you to "leave it alone" and then asking the Tamiya people about tee shirts in both of the last two videos?
Ok, who makes that USS Gerald R Ford kit with all the aircraft and the build le hangar deck? And all those resin aircraft right after? And did I see old school 20mm and 40mm WWII Vintage anti-aircraft craft guns/mounts as well? Who mmade those?
