Celebrate 35 years of Star Wars in 2012 as we recreate a "lost" packaging line look that was created, contemplated... and put aside in favor of Kenner's classic black-and-silver Star Wars design. For the first time ever, we're bringing this like look out of the Kenner archives and treating you to a glimpse of what might have been. The same creative team who designed the black-and-silver look also developed this design as one of several options to be considered for this line. In this lost line look, the created high-tech imagery incorporating a signature Star Wars vehicle and an epic theme. What might have been, what was and what is: It all captures our imaginations, just as the Star Wars saga captures our imaginations today, tomorrow and always!

Great review, this is one I still have to get, I have the lieutenant from the same line. Great figures all around.
R.I.P. Clone figures, and articulation.. don't get me wrong, i'm excited for The Force Awakens, but i do wish they'd have two lines. One for the new movie, one for the older films.
The helmet really sticks out when you have it next to other Shock Troopers. Got a little mini army of them not by really consciously thinking about it, but with this one the battle pack from a few years ago and the couple other releases I've got 6 different ones. You can pick him out from the crowd instantly.
On the card back? Yes.
I cannot Malone how many videos you will be uploading when Star Wars 7 comes out!
Good looking figure, a sort of upgrade of the 30th anniversary shock trooper, way better than the saga legends one.
I'm pretty sure the plan has always been for it to be released in 2015… Considering it was only announced a year ago!
I can't decide if I like this deco or the 501st blue deco more, but this is one of my favorite types of clone troopers. Somehow yours looks a lot more red and attractive than mine, damn that camera again! lol. Fantastic review man. I wonder if you had to army build any types of clone troopers which type would it be?
Hmm damn it i wanted that box. I got the regular packaged trooper from the saga legends or what ever line that was.

Hehe! I'm also undecided! I've got the 501st ready to review, so he'll be coming soon to help us make our minds up! ;) The red of the armour is probably due to me adjusting the colour temperature of the video in the enhancements section. This video was filmed in very strong sunlight & had an awful yellow tint to it LOL!
I'd definitely army build with this type of Clone going forward! They're so much better than anything we've had before… When they're painted correctly! *COUGH* Black Series! ;)

Articulation is FAR superior, if articulation is your thing of course!
There's also the removable helmet, and additional weapons. The sculpt is also better & seems more accurate to the Saga Legends figure.
I like the Lieutenant too. He's a little "plain" compared to this guy, but still cool nonetheless.

Nice review Steve, even though I've got this figure, the helmet sucks big time. It's a shame but that's Hasbro all over...

I think the saga collection is meant for kids. It's articulation is horrible and the detail is poor. It's probably a resale of those figures in the 90's or something.
