And the power of the reed. Jason delivered a much more physical and vocal performance, combining some strategy as he relied on the more strident noise of the reed, to the detriment of all of Cliff Burton's speed and genius. Jason had a noticeable presence on stage, he didn't wear surfer shorts and a racket sock halfway up his shin. Maybe because Jason focused on noise, they greatly reduced the sound of the bass guitar on the albums, something that Cliff would never allow, because he's older and knows a lot about music too. Jason had to submit to starting at the bottom, but he took Metallica on his back with his monstrous performances on stage.
I love this song live more then most of Metallica's music other songs by them I can here live or in the studio ...but Creeping Death has to be live its amazing how everywhere from Russia to Seattle to Seoul and to Sofia the crowd makes this F***in Awesome!

If you’re talking about accomplished as in popularity, then yeah, no metal band is remotely close to Metallica, but there are definitely bands who are bigger. I’d say Metallica is 8-10 for biggest overall bands of all time.

2010 live in Sofia, Bulgaria. Fastest performance of Creeping Death I’ve ever seen. Even Kirk was having trouble keeping up during his solo. All downpicking.
