But Josh spoke out about how he was treated during their marriage. I truly think they were better friends with Josh than they were with Colleen. I don’t think they will get any hate regardless as well as I don’t think Jenna will ever return… unfortunately. She is living her best life, married, pouring her love into all the doggos and plants. I just really miss her videos, always made me smile and brightened my weeks. When I get down, I return to her channel for a pick me up and a good laugh. ♥️
@@FukaiKokoroidk I watched them vlog together but to me it kinda seemed like a business relationship. Especially since when the shadows thing ended they drifted away from each other. And I almost never saw jenna hang with colleen.
Colleen's ukelele response was sickening and beyond inappropriate. No accountability at all. My heart goes out to Adam, Becky, Oliver, and others affected by Colleen Ballinger's actions. I can't even imagine.
I am not a fan of Colleen/Miranda but I grew up on RUclips and remember the uncle being mentioned. It was always sooooooo weird to me. I don’t remember how he was portrayed in the show but in her videos he was portrayed in a very pedo way
Does no one remember “the virgin Miranda”? She created this whole storyline on RUclips when she became pregnant with her son and correct me if I’m wrong, but I feel like it was at least implied that her uncle had something to do w it. After he was born she called him “the cannibal baby” because he just wanted to eat her breast milk. She’s so fricking weird, dude. I never let my girls watch her and actually had to give them age appropriate context for why. They were equally disgusted when I explained to them what she was trying to imply. Never had to ask them not to watch her again. When all this came out my oldest daughter who is now almost 20 called me and was like OMG MOM YOU KNEW IT!!! I literally never understood how people, parents in particular thought this was funny at all.
i grew up loving miranda sings. my sister and I would always impersonate her. I was a nanny a few years ago for an 8 year old where she was only allowed to watch kids netflix. miranda sings was on there and i played it thinking it could be entertaining for us both. until they constantly referenced ‘porn’ and inappropriate things, the little girl asked me what it all meant.. i was absolutely stuck and disturbed and came to realization how bizarre all of that was. she gave me really bad vibes ever since then. this is all so disturbing.
When you are that age, it's hard to understand what is meant for your age or not. You seeing a significantly younger child reacting to it probably gave perspective. There are many things I don't consider appropriate at ALL with Colleen's shows, like when she made young fans search for snacks in her pants. However, I'd never want my 14-year-old to be confronted with p*rn jokes. Kids lose their innocence so rapidly these days, somebody who calls themselves PG 13 and is a parent should know better.
As a nanny myself...i couldnt even imagine putting on something that i also watched as a kid.... to realize it was totally inaapropriate! My worst nightmare. Cant believe nobody at netflix stopped this or changed the rating.
I love how much response I've seen from you guys about this horrible person. I never liked her; I always got a weird vibe and I can't wait to watch the fall-out continue. Her victims deserved so much better.
What I don’t understand is how no adults (either around her or her adult viewers online) seemed to notice or call out Colleens behaviour? Lots of her behaviour was documented on video and posted BY HER. Why are adults only speaking out now? The other thing is, why did adults brush off Adams video when he put it out in 2020 and CONTINUED SUPPORTING HER? I understand he has more proof now but he had ENOUGH PROOF back then too! I’m so sick of adults not believing children and continuing to support and defend the abusive adult in the situation.
There was a man that was on Twitter that did a thread about how inappropriate the Miranda Sings show was. He talked about all the kids and the inappropriate material. I wish that had went viral back then!
INabber literally said the same thing in his video about the Adam stuff. I totally agree with him and this statement. I saw this apology in 2020 and never once thought she was genuine and even if these things were “out of context” it’s still effed to send lewd stuff to a minor????
From what I remember people believed Adam at first. I remember seeing videos talking about it. Then Colleen released a video, ironically better than her recent one, and that’s when people stopped believing in Adam. Personally I only seen a few of her videos. Most of them when she’s pregnant so, I wouldn’t have noticed anything.
I think her response is more geared towards her young fans, who don't understand the severity of the situation, rather than the victims or the rest of the internet. If she is trying to "survive" this cancellation, it makes sense for her to focus on the fans who'll stick around until it blows over. It's just a blatant attempt to save her career.
I thought the same thing! She needs to save her business and uses the fact her fan base is composed by many impressionable teens, who don't understand dynamics that comes with age yet. Many fans probably think it's a question about loyalty, when she just needs to keep selling tickets for her tours and keep her views steady.
The fact that no criminal charges are being filed against the Astroworld tragedy is ridiculous. Im glad to hear that they are at least having civil charges brought. I hope that some of those pan out. This was such a horrifying event that could have been prevented.
After hearing what Trisha and others are also bringing up about Colleen; she could actually be criminally charged in California and by the feds for the illicit photos and videos that she sent to minors (she took them off of Trisha’s adult website that is behind a paywall and is strictly for adults). At this point, my heart goes out to everyone that has had traumatic interactions and relationships with her. I am sending strength, prayers, and positive vibes to everyone that is on their healing journey from their interactions/relationships with Colleen. 💞
I’m going through a lot of sh*t right now and I always find so much comfort while listening or watching this podcast. Thank you guys. This more then a podcast for me but a safe space.
This is a direct scene from the show - Sexual innuendo; in one scene, Uncle Jim squirts icing on Miranda's cinnamon rolls and she mentions him shooting cream out of his package onto her buns. "It's okay, I like 'em extra sticky," she says. Her mom says people could get the wrong idea, they move on. That should NOT be in a children’s show. My daughter is 11 and would be uncomfortable hearing that even if she didn’t fully understand.
my dad wouldn’t have even let me watch that when i was 14! that’s disgusting!!! she definitely used the “13+” because that’s when most people have their first health class/go through puberty but she was introducing 18+ concepts.
also, it’s very surprising that she’s a mother. it’s disgusting from anyone to do these things but especially a mother, i’m not a mother myself but i would not be okay with my nieces and nephews watching her & i know my sister wouldn’t be okay with it as well.
I used to be a fan of Colleen's vlogs. I felt like she was always worried about others and wanted to support and not offend anyone. It was shocking to hear the accusations, and then her response only proved how little she cares about others. I really hope she can learn from this, but it seems like she's always been awful and all kinds of prejudice.
She's fake that's why. But even in her vlogs she manipulates people. She's constantly fishing for compliments by saying disparaging things about herself. Even when she messed up and didn't secure her chicken cage and an animal killed two birds, she comes on and cries for sympathy for HER! She's constantly talking about her bangs or hair too, fishing for compliments. She's very manipulative in her vlogs.
I watched the vlogs too and I never understood why she was so worried about offending people. The yt comments always seemed supportive. Now I'm guessing it's because she was constantly online looking at reddit or wherever, intentionally looking for the negative comments and drama. Probably obsessed with the negative attention and the sympathy
She is like this now because she was bad in the past she always mentions that she is not perfect and she said stupid things in the past and is trying to be a better person from then on. So what is going to happen in the future? This will be resurfacing again and again even though that was many years ago it was addressed and she is not that person anymore.... what people want? For her to take her life? Why Adams parents didn't do or say anything then? They are the one that supposed to protect him? Or the othe kids, why their parents didn't do or say something then? Why now?. I don't know, but I always can sense who it's a victim but this time is different.......the fact that he is keep making videos that are hmmmmmm to me instead of going to police!!! This is like " she made some money because of me and I didn't get any so now I will do this". If he was paid he would do all this..... this is just my opinion. How do we know some of this things are not fake???? Just to push her down even more? This looks like Jealousy from him because she is talented after all and still keep going. So yes you do some stupid things in the past and that would be readdress again and again because why? The parent's should supervise and Guide their children. Whatever she is saying it's twisted and interpreted how is wanted not what she actually meaning. I can see that she is more punished then the people that R worded , Physically violence etc. Like she's equal to Ted Bundy and obviously she is not anywhere near.
@@ioanaspiridon728thank you!!! People can only expect positive change from her but they won’t do the research to see that she’s changed, digging up her problematic past but not focusing on how sincere and empathetic she is in her daily vlogs, her past isn’t her present, people want a villain out of her so bad
I live in WA and there are tons of people of different races. Nice try Colleen. She just didn’t want anyone besides her one color in her show because she’s a sick human!
I’m from Washington, and it’s actually super diverse in most cities, lots of POC… knowing she’s a racist and a groomer is just sickening. We definitely don’t claim her!!
I'm from the UK, never been to Washington but from what I've seen just from media/tv/film etc. I've always thought of Washington as having a culturally diverse population
@@allieb03 even places like P.O. are more diverse than a lot of other cities in the states. And considering her show was in Tacoma, it’s incredibly diverse there.
My neighbor and her sister were throwing a baking party, they went to Walmart and bought $300 worth of supplies at the self check-out but it didn't scan two items that were a dollar each and they both got arrested and had to do community service. I will never use self-checkout ever again I hardly even want to go into the store I'd rather pay a couple extra dollars for delivery
@@grooovymak I manage by using delivery or I'll pay a friend to do the shopping for me and if I absolutely have to go in the store I go as soon as they open so there's not many people and you don't have to feel rushed or like people are watching you
really appreciate y’all keeping up this conversation! i do wanna say tho @ 35:08 - it truly doesn’t matter that she had no control what netflix rated it, because she knew what it was rated, knew very well what her audience would be, knew that her show was on netflix & her videos on youtube kids she knows her demographic she’s curated it and catered to it for years & she straight up lied about it (& many other things of course) in the song… the audacity is truly disgusting! love the channel so muchh!
Agreed! And regardless of what they rated it, I was her content. Her character, acting, writing, creative input, etc. It wouldn't exist without her. Netflix's hands are not clean here either, but like you said, she should have never created this type of content and made it in a way that would attract a juvenile audience.
Yeah, I agree. That was a weird fixation. Also what’s the point of having a younger sound engineer/gen z pov if you’re just gonna bulldoze anything they say from their experience?
I remember taking a college psychology class in high school and we would put on weird pop culture videos and try to dissect the psychology behind them for fun. Just come up with theories and what makes people’s brains come up with this stuff. Think: Salad Fingers and Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared. I remember one girl putting on Miranda, and my psychology teacher literally saying “I don’t think there’s much though that goes into whatever that was, but I really hope that girl gets the mental help she needs.” I thought she was being snarky at the time but I get it now.
My daughter became a fan of Miranda from watching it on Netflix. My daughter has her own Netflix with parental controls on. She had already watched both seasons multiple times before I sat down and watched it. I would see her watching it and it just looked like Miranda was a awkward weird person. I didn’t catch the weirdness with the uncle until I watched it in it’s entirety. I guess I put too much trust in Netflix’s ratings.
I once paid for a meet and greet with Colleen/Miranda signs but her crew didn’t send the info for it to a lot of people so we missed the time slot. I’m actually very grateful now that I didn’t meet her
I know this a very VERY minor part of this podcast to focus on…..but a quick tip for the moms of toddlers who think “no” is funny, cause been there, still am there-try saying what you want them to do instead! so when my toddler throws food, I try to say “our food is for eating, not throwing. let’s keep our food on our plate!” doesn’t always work, but can help with the confusion over the word “no.” just some advice that I was given & thought i’d pass along! ❤
I asked my boys if the watch Miranda Sings ever my oldest said he stopped because she was a weird pervert. I always talked to my kids about adults saying or doing inappropriate things. I was SA as a child so I've always been super open with my boys about what's appropriate for adults and children. I started these talks at a very young age. I think a lot of parents don't prepare their kids enough because it's hard to determine when the right age is.
her character was always horrible and disgusting.. i will never understand what u all found funny about this grown ass woman cosplaying as a disabled person.. thats basically what her character was. shameful.
I don’t feel bad for Adam. Feel bad for real victims like those of Peter Scully. Colleen has a loose screw thinking it’s acceptable to communicate with children online- but where the fk was Adams parents when they knew he was receiving lingerie in the mail? She kept if for a decade…… and still let her son talk to this “groomer”. I do not feel sorry at all. You’re all suffering from mob mentality. so sad.
@@MG-ru5pi She’s wayy more than a loose screw. Adam was a CHILD when Colleen sent him lingerie in the mail. Adam spoke of this 3 years ago and Colleen told her fanbase to destroy Adam’s credibility anyway they could. He has even said if Colleen apologizes publicly to him, his parents and everyone else she’s affected then he would stop talking about it. She has not done that because she’s a disgusting person.
She could face prison time in California and federally for sending Trisha’s nude photos and videos to Adam and other minors. What she did to children is excusable; regardless of what kind of parenting they received growing up… they were still minors.
I think Colleen released her 'apology' song hoping it was so ridiculous, that people and news articles would talk more about the video instead of what she's being accused of.
I've seen ALOT of people looking at her books targeting children and it just gets worse. I think a lot of parents just didn't pay attention or care to what their kids digest (which I personally feel a good number of parents do, they don't want to take the time to personally comb what their kids watch, but get upset when *surprise* their kids watch something bad and blame everyone else)
Haters Back Off is set in Tacoma, WA. I lived there & not only is it extremely diverse, many immigrants live and work in Tacoma. I literally can't understand why she would want to whiteawash a city that has a history of redlining and overt gentrification. oh wait.....
Btw, I watched both seasons of Haters back off twice. Yes the daddy saddle was a thing. They referenced it a lot in the show, and at some point they even made a parade float of uncle Jim wearing the daddy saddle.
I totally relate to being anxious at places like the self-checkout and drive-thru, and with having your partner make phone calls 😂 my partner and I actually have a post-it note on the fridge with our names on it that we flip when it's the other one's turn to make a phone call for something lmao We also started to use apps to pre-order our fast food so we don't have to talk much at the drive-thru, I admit its made life feel easier 😆
KENDALL! i relate soooo much to your little rant about anxiety, and i deal with all of the things you mentioned too. to the point that i’m in my late 20s and still not driving (though i plan on beginning to tackle this one because i hate relying on others and like it’s not going to get better if i’m not trying) but yes anxious girlies’ lives are run by fear 😭 ppl who don’t experience anxiety on our level do not understand how EVERYTHING is sooooo mentally draining bc it takes so much mental energy out of you. and emotional. i’m like ….. people out here really just …, DOING things and not dwelling on them and feeling overwhelming nervous system responses?? damn
You guys literally were saying my exact thoughts. I have watched her for so many years but started really watching during the pandemic when she was vlogging everyday. I’ve just been thinking about how she tried so hard to say everything right to prevent cancellation & she was SO careful when talking about many different things. She also talked about body positivity & thinking people of all sizes are beautiful. Looking back at all of that now just shows how fake she was. I also don’t think a genuinely good person has to try that hard.
Colleen is Houdini of gaslighting. She has been doing it for years. I think she thought, she would try one ultimate, show stopping, gas lighting trick. Using a ukulele and a song. She had to know it was a slim chance that it would even work, but she went all-in. 🤯 Who knows what's going through her head? She lives on her own island with our own people. I don't remember to Daddy saddle in the show but I've been seeing the eclipse with the sticky buns which is pretty gross that she does with her uncle in the show.
I tried watching her videos when she was really big back in the day. I just could not get into her content felt like there was something off with her. Thank you so much for covering this and major respect to the victims and survivors for coming forward.
its weird how you ladies feel like friends!! like I get so excited when a podcast epi is out bc it legit feels like chilling with the girlies ! so thank you guys for creating such a safe comfortable space for us all💗
As a resident of Seattle Washington and I grew up in Tacoma, both cities are very multicultural. Definitely wouldn’t be out of place to see poc, I’m fact it would be weird not to
It's shocking how people can wear a mask so well and I really feel that's what Colleen did. She knew how to act and what to say to the public... but behind closed doors.
So ill be 34 this month, and im disabled and neurodivergent, and i watched maybe 1 episode of her netflix show. I remember feeling like i was being made fun of, and then when she started talking about her uncle i noped out so fast. Im still so confused about how the hell she even got famous.
No, my kids are older, and they were JUST able to watch her Netflix show just last year (15 year old). Just growing up with RUclips myself and watching Miranda/Colleen myself long ago, I knew as a parent my kids/step kids would not be watching her. She is adult content and I stuck by that like I said just until last year. My kids are not allowed online and I taught them extensively over the years about tv being fake and how to process adult content. When she watched it she came to me saying her content was inappropriate and ‘weird’ was her word choices. She also didn’t like the fibro content portrayed by the mom character. I have never watched Haters. For perspective I am 36 and I started watching RUclips in 2010. Like the origins Wild Wild West days. I was 23. You know what shocks me, parents were TAKING their kids to her shows!! I never knew that part 😬
I never heard of Miranda Sings until I came across Haters Back Off on Netflix. It kept coming up on my recommendations, so my partner and I watched it all. I can say-unequivocally-that "The Daddy Saddle" is not only mentioned on the show, it is also shown several times, and even a family photo with Miranda on Uncle Jim's back in the saddle is featured on one episode. So, yes, the daddy saddle is not only shown on the Netflix show, but it's featured in many, many episodes on both seasons. The icky, incestuous behavior started on the first episode, when they're eating sticky buns, and Uncle Jim gets "cream" on her "buns", but that's ok, because she likes them "extra sticky". BTW, I fully believe Netflix purposely leaves controversial material up because people will go there to watch it after hearing about it. Like, it took two years for them to remove the wrist slitting part from "13 Reasons", and "Cuties", which is a pedo's wet dream, is still on there. PS: Will Arnette and Amy Poehler divorced in 2016
My 1 year old does the same with the “No!” He thinks it’s hilarious so when we say No! he just laughs🤦🏻♀️😄and also loves throwing the bottle and spilling milk out.
As someone who is so beyond horrible at celebrity names AND cars, I always wish I could be there when they play this game because I get MAYBE one correct in each category every time. Janelle and Kendall would look so smart compared to me hahaha
I also watched some of her pregnancy vlogs and the way she was so vulnerable made me appreciate her too! It's crazy that she was this kind of person behind the scenes...
I went to a Tegan & Sara show where they let us record one song & said if a single phone/flash is seen during the show, the person would be immediately kicked out.
Wow I wish people hadn't dragged Adam three years ago when he first told the truth with ample evidence and instead called a 17 year old victim a clout chaser.
Omg. This is bringing back memories. I remember watching the Miranda sings Netflix thing and always thinking how weirdly uncomfortable Miranda and the uncle were
The answer to why Netflix has her show on there and rated it PG is one simple answer, which is always the answer in these sick haneous disgusting cases...... MONEY
I felt so crazy about my anxiety but literally I feel the same in every situation Kendal listed 😅🤷🏼♀️. I had to pull off the freeway one time because my palms were so sweaty because of how nervous I get when driving with my kids in the car. Just get so anxious
She is a vile creature. The money she made during her time as “Miranda” needs to be taken from her and given to SA survivors and children. She’s been doing this all out in the open in front of just enough people but never thought they’d tell on each-other. I’m sick to my stomach as a mother, a mother woman and someone who is just out here trying to make it day by day and keep people like her away from my daughter!
My daughter became a fan on Colleen because of Hater's Back Off. She loved that Patrick and Miranda were married in real life. So it made her want to watch her vlogs. My daughter is 9 years old and she begged me to take her to one of Miranda's live shows. I took her last year, and during the show Miranda had some pretty adult jokes and I was so happy it went right over my daughters head. I remember leaving the concert feeling uncomfortable with the character. My daughter doesn't watch any Miranda RUclips videos (she thinks they are weird because Miranda's family isn't there), but COLLEEN had Eric on her vlogs, so my daughter used to watch those videos. I didn't mind because Colleen came off very sweet and innocent. I thought she was a good person. I feel so fooled for thinking she was a good person. I told my daughter that we can't watch her anymore because she isn't the person we thought she was. My little girl is disappointed too.
i honestly think Colleen made a song ON PURPOSE. Because she KNOWS her audience is mostly CHILDREN. And what do children do when they listen to songs? they listen mostly to the melody, because they do not understand what the words mean and how deep they are, unlike adults. So the piss ass “apology” will get accepted by her MAIN audience (children). That’s my take on it. 🙄
I had watched 'mommy day in the life' types vlogs from all kinds of people throughout my pregnancy bc it's my first and that's when I found colleen again...I had seen haters back off when it first came out and thought, ok it's not that funny but whatever, and it was the constant creepy pedo uncle 'character' that made me stop after a few episodes. The fact that she plays that type of character in her current stage show is beyond horrifying. What else is beyond horrifying is how she insists and continues to do her hair and makeup just perfect while in active premature twin labor, while her doctor and husband are practically begging her to go into the hospital... But you know, she doesn't, and the labor goes so much worse than it probably would have, with her husband just being traumatized by witnessing his wife and twins almost die pretty much... Only to make a 'let me complain' vlog about how she was annoyed that the NICU nurses had to tell her it would be better for your babies if you visited and spent more time with them, I think they were in the NICU somewhere like 2, maybe even 3-4 months. She then goes onto make a 'daddy blues' video where her husband shares his experience and trauma and how he has a type of post partum depression, which there is a term for it for the father's bc it does happen .... Well she laughs, mocks and makes of him saying how offensive he's being to actual moms bc only the mother's can experience that... He tries to better explain what he means bc he doesn't have the words, just the feelings he feels and she just shuts him down over and over, laughing the whole time. That's when I knew knew she was trash, and then to learn all the other things she had done, not just to the dog but current day with her cats, and exploitation of all her kids..... I deep dived the reddit snark page of hers after learning and seeing a bunch of horrible things she does and it's just a very well documented place on the internet, that can show with timestamps, how much trash her can holds, it's disgusting, she's a dumpster human and I'm not bothered about being obviously bothered by her. Good people are disgusted by disgusting people 👀🙄 She is trash 🗑️
Born and raised in Washington... Unless you're east of the Cascades or in a hickass town like Graham or Tenino, it's extremely diverse here. At least in my experience living in Tacoma/Lakewood 🤷♀️
when i'm like laying in bed half asleep looking at my phone and accidentally kinda hit myself in the face with it , it hella hurts. i can't imagine having one hurled at you
Ok on the Daddy Saddle debacle ( 34:33 ) If I’m remembering correctly, she would do live streams where the audience could watch the show alongside her and she and whoever was her guest would commentate and give like behind the scenes stories about how things were rewritten on set and where certain story lines came about. I do think she mentioned either there or in a blog that she tried getting the daddy saddle in the show and Netflix turned it down and told her that was too much for the platform. However, there’s a scene where she rides on a float that is a giant version of the uncle. I do believe that’s where they let her put the saddle in the show. Looking back, the Netflix show is an absolute fever dream. I was like 18 when it came out and I thought it was absurd and definitely made for a niche audience, but assumed the audience they were aiming for was at LEAST 17. Having that show on the kids side of Netflix is BONKERS
Thanks for your commentary on this stuff ladies! The first episode of Haters Back Off was filmed at my high school and I was an extra. on the set. At the time, I was a fan of Colleen so I volunteered to be an extra so that I might get the chance to meet her. We didn’t get to meet her and I was in the gym of my school for about 12 hours, without any food and I think we got a small cup of water one time. It was insane! This obviously wasn’t Colleen’s fault but it is surreal to hear everything about her now. I was a fan when I was younger and while I haven’t been a fan in years, it is so disappointing because it is definitely true that her fan base was mostly kids. Anyways love you guys so much!! Thank you for always being a fun, relaxing break in the day!❤️ Feels like I’m sitting with friends 😊
colleen trolled me when she was hypnotized. she said she had fear of stickers. i genuinely care about people and now i know its probably a bit, kind of makes me sick to my stomach. people really suffer with different things.
there's so many people i have retroactively thanked myself for never being a fan. colleen ballinger, gabby hannah, kevin spacey, bill cosby, to name a few.
Her apology has almost 10 mil views. Sadly, because of the length, she made money off of it. It was likely she knew doing something that stupid would get a lot of views and she’d be able to cash in before her career ends
Unpopular opinion, y’all can shoosh on this shesh ESPECIALLY Kendall. You blindly supported that person and poorly stated something “you never think these people are capable of awful things” girl NO. You know this, you’re a true crime podcast and an adult. It’s more about real accountability than coverage you’re trying to pull off here. 0/10
They need to give IQ tests before you can enter a National Park. Do you think it's a good idea to get a selfie with a Bison? Do you think it's a good idea to feed wild animals? Do you think you can get near any body of water we warn you away from?
That ukulele video is Colleen's severance package. Also it feels like she was thinking "you're gonna end my career? Nah, I'm gonna end it my way!" When she made that video.
I also thought there was no way Colleen could have thought the response went well until I watched Trisha Paytas' video ... and now I'm thinking she's just delusional 😳
It’s so refreshing to hear you guys talk about how you started following her while she was pregnant with her kids and that you didn’t really know about the Miranda stuff cause that’s exactly how it was for me. It was interesting to me to hear her take on pregnancy cause it seemed really honest and opposite of what I was used to hearing and seeing. Oh man, if I had known any of this stuff before hand she would NEVER have gotten any views or likes from me!🤦🏼♀️
Completely 100% the same ! She and I were pregnant at the same time and the. We both went into labor early , where our babies were supposed to be a couple months apart in age are actually like 3 weeks apart . I’d always enjoy seeing Flynn meet the same milestones as my baby . Seemed so innocent --all just crazy and terrible !
Same! I started watching her vlogs when she found out she was pregnant with the twins. I want to learn as much about people’s various pregnancy and birthing experiences to mentally prepare myself for when I get pregnant. I just turned 38 and am engaged to my fiancé. I didn’t find out CB and Miranda were the same person for awhile, and I didn’t like her Miranda character so I just ignored that content all together. Since I started watching her after her initial apology video and didn’t watch the Miranda stuff, I had no idea how messed up and problematic she was or I would have never watched a single minute of one of her vlogs.
Thanks for giving me the heads up about haters back off. I have a 12yr old daughter. I logged into her Netflix account and saw that she had put that show on her watch list. I will be talking to her tomorrow about how I don't approve of it and seeing if she has watched it. She doesn't watch RUclips because I have it blocked from all her devices but I wonder if she ever watched Miranda Sings on other devices. So thanks for letting me know about her and the things she's done. I DO NOT want my child watching this and I appreciate the warning
Can we just kick Colleen off and bring Jenna marbles back to RUclips? I really miss her uploads on Wednesday/Thursdays 😭
What worries me is Julie mn was apparently BFFs with Josh. Also Jenna was friends with Colleen for a while. So hope they aren't involved at all.

Kendall you have GODDESS hair in this video!! Love it!
Right! Looks amazing!
Colleen's ukelele response was sickening and beyond inappropriate. No accountability at all.
My heart goes out to Adam, Becky, Oliver, and others affected by Colleen Ballinger's actions. I can't even imagine.
Honestly, Trisha got the worst of it. You can't get any lower than what she did to her.
Her poor kids, she post about them consistently 😥
I am not a fan of Colleen/Miranda but I grew up on RUclips and remember the uncle being mentioned. It was always sooooooo weird to me. I don’t remember how he was portrayed in the show but in her videos he was portrayed in a very pedo way
@@brenda4085 Yes what happened to Trisha was awful as well. I felt for her.
@@madeleinereads And the most illegal.
I literally never understood how people, parents in particular thought this was funny at all.
great job on parenting! seriously protecting your kids from things like this is so important.
i grew up loving miranda sings. my sister and I would always impersonate her.
Same! Always got a weird bad vibe from her dis not find her funny either.
This! Me too. Always thought her vibe wasn’t genuine
@@Lifeofanniesilva that's a perfect way to describe it.
Yes! You can tell they genuinely care.
💯%.
I’m so sick of adults not believing children and continuing to support and defend the abusive adult in the situation.
i couldn’t agree more, we need to start listening to children & hold adults accountable
Since Miranda Sings was created it always made me feel uncomfortable.
💯%.
i genuinely can’t believe it. such a heartbreaking tragedy and it makes me so very upset that NO one is being held accountable
I lowkey hope she does get charged. She needs to learn that her actions have consequences and that what she did was SERIOUSLY not okay
I’m going through a lot of sh*t right now and I always find so much comfort while listening or watching this podcast. Thank you guys. This more then a podcast for me but a safe space.

This is a direct scene from the show -
Sexual innuendo; in one scene, Uncle Jim squirts icing on Miranda's cinnamon rolls and she mentions him shooting cream out of his package onto her buns.
She just didn’t want anyone besides her one color in her show because she’s a sick human!
i live where it was filmed. POC are the majority here too. So the fact she had to go and avoid casting POC is crazy.
I’m from Washington, and it’s actually super diverse in most cities, lots of POC… knowing she’s a racist and a groomer is just sickening. We definitely don’t claim her!!
As a fellow Washingtonian it is very diverse, I greatly enjoy Uwajimaya and the various Asian markets in Seattle.
I'm from the UK, never been to Washington but from what I've seen just from media/tv/film etc. I've always thought of Washington as having a culturally diverse population
I lived in Washington and it does matter where you are…like I said port orchard is really different from Seattle so it matter.
@@allieb03I do agree, though just for context, the show specifically took place in Tacoma, WA
@@allieb03 even places like P.O. are more diverse than a lot of other cities in the states. And considering her show was in Tacoma, it’s incredibly diverse there.
Kendalls anxiety about Self check out and drive throughs is so relatable. There are days I just won't get things I need just because of that anxiety.
💯💯💯
Yess 100% I have anxiety over the smallest things like making a phone call!
Anyone have any advice on how to manage this???! 😫 I feel like I have tried everything and the anxiety always wins…

really appreciate y’all keeping up this conversation!
i do wanna say tho @ 35:08 - it truly doesn’t matter that she had no control what netflix rated it, because she knew what it was rated, knew very well what her audience would be, knew that her show was on netflix & her videos on youtube kids she knows her demographic she’s curated it and catered to it for years & she straight up lied about it (& many other things of course) in the song… the audacity is truly disgusting!
love the channel so muchh!
How are people just realizing this? Colleen has been doing this for years.
I was never a big fan of Miranda Sings/Colleen so I just didn't tune into her videos. This has been a sickening ride catching up on it all.
I think it's because she just managed to ride under public criticism and because she's a woman and had kids.
it seems all adults that liked Colleen didn't know much about Miranda
She has! I even remembering ridiculous things Colleen would say when I used to follow her. She’s so messed up
I am also questionis this after watching the videos about her books. I don't get it how all this went untouched for so many years
I remember taking a college psychology class in high school and we would put on weird pop culture videos and try to dissect the psychology behind them for fun. Just come up with theories and what makes people’s brains come up with this stuff. Think: Salad Fingers and Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared.
I remember one girl putting on Miranda, and my psychology teacher literally saying “I don’t think there’s much though that goes into whatever that was, but I really hope that girl gets the mental help she needs.”
I thought she was being snarky at the time but I get it now.
The mother “faking” illness was too much for me. I hope it gets removed
All it took was 5 minutes and I knew it was trash. I already Netflix supports pedo shows can’t forget Cuties on Netflix

Did you get a refund ?
Hope you got your money back!
Nope didn’t get a refund either
Colleen is disgusting. Her character is ruined forever. I feel so bad for Adam and all of the other people she affected.
her character was always horrible and disgusting.. i will never understand what u all found funny about this grown ass woman cosplaying as a disabled person.. thats basically what her character was.
You’re all suffering from mob mentality. so sad.
Plus Adam loves the attention. Like every second of it.
Thank you guys for talking about this article!! I saw it talked about once on a TikTok & couldn’t find anyone else diving into it.
They assume that if it's in the kids section it should be safe. It should be i have no idea how miranda is in the kid section
Nowadays, there seem to be a plethora of inappropriate books even in the libraries at schools. Many parents have been coming fwd about it.
seeing this pop up at work every thursday just makes my entire shift better i wouldn’t be able to get through it without you girls 😭

Facts also the show takes place in TACOMA.
Haters Back Off is set in Tacoma, WA. I lived there & not only is it extremely diverse, many immigrants live and work in Tacoma. I literally can't understand why she would want to whiteawash a city that has a history of redlining and overt gentrification. oh wait.....
I watched your reaction video to Colleen’s apology on a reaction compilation and it was hilarious

@@TheSeshPodcastwe were all shook.
Btw, I watched both seasons of Haters back off twice. Yes the daddy saddle was a thing. They referenced it a lot in the show, and at some point they even made a parade float of uncle Jim wearing the daddy saddle.

I definitely have to believe April considering she could most definitely be sued for defamation and lose her job if this is all untrue!
KENDALL! i relate soooo much to your little rant about anxiety, and i deal with all of the things you mentioned too. to the point that i’m in my late 20s and still not driving (though i plan on beginning to tackle this one because i hate relying on others and like it’s not going to get better if i’m not trying) but yes anxious girlies’ lives are run by fear 😭 ppl who don’t experience anxiety on our level do not understand how EVERYTHING is sooooo mentally draining bc it takes so much mental energy out of you. and emotional. i’m like ….. people out here really just …, DOING things and not dwelling on them and feeling overwhelming nervous system responses??

Netflix produced 'Cuties', do you really have to ask why they gave Colleen this show and why it's rated PG?
It's shocking how people can wear a mask so well and I really feel that's what Colleen did. She knew how to act and what to say to the public... but behind closed doors.
But she didn’t. It’s all out there. No mask. That’s what is mind blowing. People laughed it off.
Miranda sings was her mask and the scary part is there's tons of people like her
So ill be 34 this month, and im disabled and neurodivergent, and i watched maybe 1 episode of her netflix show. I remember feeling like i was being made fun of, and then when she started talking about her uncle i noped out so fast. Im still so confused about how the hell she even got famous.
I get paranoid that store security is going to think I'm stealing something anytime I get something out of or put something back in my purse/pocket! 😂
Same! This happened to me today at Walgreens.

Kendall is so funny when she swears and calls out bad behaviour. 😂😂😂
I went to a Tegan & Sara show where they let us record one song & said if a single phone/flash is seen during the show, the person would be immediately kicked out.
My mom is a Leo and she was a really good baby, child, and teenager, and didn’t show her firey qualities until her 20s according to my gma ✨

Just in time for me to edit!! Yay!
WOAH! Thank you for sharing this. I learned a lot tbh and it’s sooo much worse 😩

Hey guys! Literally been watching the clock for 2 hours waiting for you to make my day better!! ❤❤❤
God I’m dying at the end game portion 😂 Frank Franco
I was born and raised in Washington, it’s not all or mostly white. Im so disgusted by Colleen. Everything she’s done is just disgusting!
What part of Washington because Seattle is way different from puget sound or port orchard.
Just wanted to point out, Colleen literally has vlogs of her kids watching and loving Miranda
It is heartbreaking!
colleen trolled me when she was hypnotized. she said she had fear of stickers. i genuinely care about people and now i know its probably a bit, kind of makes me sick to my stomach. people really suffer with different things.
Kendall’s talking about the real issues. What will we do when they no longer allow fleshlights into our concert venues!? 😂
Watching kendall not knowing shit about vehicles was so painful to watch but like 😂😂😂 in a funny way.
there's so many people i have retroactively thanked myself for never being a fan. colleen ballinger, gabby hannah, kevin spacey, bill cosby, to name a few.
So funny that Janelle's film taste is "Christmas films" - literally the only ones she lists as enjoying, The Grinch, The Holiday, Santa Clause movies
Her apology has almost 10 mil views. Sadly, because of the length, she made money off of it. It was likely she knew doing something that stupid would get a lot of views and she’d be able to cash in before her career ends
If she doesn't go to jail she will have a career, I'm the victim of cancel culture will be the next thing
Kendall I love your hair it looks so good! How do you get those waves ❤
*beep "Did you hear that? I'm NOT stealing"
Omg, SAME! 🫣😂😂
Also what Colleen did to Trisha is terrible!! Especially sending nudes to Adam when he was 14 !!!and Johnny!! She needs to be put in jail !!
“And DEFINITELY No ashes” took me out 😂😂😂
They need to give IQ tests before you can enter a National Park.
As the annoying person who interrupts everyone to point out all the actors in movies this was hilariously painful to watch 😂
Every time Janelle says "I know this guy" it reminds me off the movie Good Burger when Ed says "I know some of these words" lol. Love you!
They rated it PG because her audience was children and they wanted them to be able to watch
I love “guess the car, guess the person” 😂 please keep the segment going
I also thought there was no way Colleen could have thought the response went well until I watched Trisha Paytas' video ... and now I'm thinking she's just delusional 😳
So delulu! 😱🙊
“Is she in the hunger games?” “Scarlett Johansson?”
😂😂😂😂
