What a noble job! Nurses are the best, especially NICU nurses! I am a mother of 5, (and one in Heaven). My 1st born was in the NICU from an infection and seizures for a week after birth. That was 12 years ago, and I still remember those nurses. Then, my 4th one had an accident at 10 months old and after 5 days in hospital, she didn't make it. But the nurses were divine!! And then my 5th one was in the NICU hospital twice during Christmas 2 years ago from uncontrollable seizures that started out of nowhere. She was only 9 months old. She's now 2 and a half and seizure free since that hospital stay. On medication of course, but super grateful that medicine exits and is working so far 🙏 .
Many blessings to you, strength, courage and wisdom on this new journey! May the Lord grant you all this!

@@NurseJackie2582 this made me so sad when you mentioned it, I cannot fathom for the life of me why such behaviors are still tolerated. I have gone through some rough (and incomprehensable) professional situations too in my decades and decades of work and to the day find it uncomfortable to think of some. It sounds like an amazing opportunity to stretch yourself professionally, and you will probably never stop learning new (or old/leeches!) things. Starting to get a little work/life balance back will certainly help keep the challenges of the new position more manageable. ~ AND a beautiful mani! 😻

Surely you should all be supporting eachother as it's such an important job and you're dealing with some difficult things. I'm so proud of you for doing so well despite the lack of support. You're amazing! And you will just continue to shine. I hope your coworkers will appreciate your value more, and continue to be more respectful to you. Thanks Louise! It’s been very hard for me. I finally feel like I’m doing what I’m meant to do and it just feels…..sad. No one is rude or gives me a hard time anymore but no one socializes with me. No one goes out of their way to be warm and friendly to me. They are polite if I try to join in but not necessarily open if you know what I mean. Most often I just sit at the single computers outside one of my rooms rather than sit at the station with everyone else.

Thank you! I seem to have made it through the rough patch thankfully. I am noticing my nails are still staining a bit. It’s very frustrating because I’ve been growing out my stains for years now. Even though my nails grow super fast, it still seems to take over a year to grow stains out. And as it’s growing it out, it’s constantly restraining a bit despite doubling up on base coat. My nails will never be 100% stain free I guess. Polish always leaves a tinge behind

Exactly! Last night I got report from a nurse who is really sweet. We had a patient admit to the floor maybe 30 minutes before her shift ended which meant naturally she couldn’t get much done before it was time for my shift to come on. She kept apologizing and was trying to stay late to do more stuff and I was like “girl, I got it. You can only do so much in 30 minutes and I have a full 12 hours to get everting done.” This morning she came in and brought me a cake pop and said I had been so kind to her and she wasn’t used to it! It was so sweet of her but it also made me sad.
