Saying "modern civilization finally made its way up from mainland Japan" right after talking about the Ainu people is no different from saying "modern civilization finally arrived in the Americas from Europe". It's a huge gloss over the colonization history of Hokkaido by Imperial Japan in the 19th Century, during which Ainu people were dispossessed from their land and captured to work in forced labour mines.
It would've been okay if you were simply ignorant and left the Ainus out like other average foreign travel vloggers; instead you decided to bring up the subject for your entertainment content without any research or respect in a very frivolous and distasteful manner.

Just finding this channel. Amazing photography and so much better than 99% of creators who waste your time talking at the camera trying to build a personal brand. Instead this channel shows amazing landscapes and focuses on telling the stories of amazing craftsmen and restauranteurs. I love it. Dare I say this show gives me the same vibes when I first started watching Bourdain in my youth. Amazing show.

@@Mutiny960always got to be one hater. The man is making great engaging videos and it’s not about him. If that were true they’d literally be no food-related videos on RUclips what a stupid comment. Only good vibes in this video, more than you can say about your comment.

Hey Thanks! If you are digging the soundtrack, the music in DIRT is originally composed by a group called "Actual Magic". Check out our full interview with them and a few of their tracks here: bit.ly/3xTvD87

Unreal, thank you for taking us along with you! I’m just a few years older than you, and the vibe of Warren Miller of old is strong within you! Reminds me of hearing a friendly voice before the snowboard season! Great videography, narration and people! Cheers-southwest Michigan!
