I think Aftershock isn't a great idea in aoe because you don't want to spend extra GCD's on Earthquake, you want to spend nearly every GCD on Lava Burst so you are reducing the CD on Prime Wave. That's how the entire aoe build is fueled. More Lava Burst's = more Prime Wave casts and more Ascendance procs. :)
@@ZucoWoW Although prim wave AoE damage is target capped because you can only have 6 Flameshocks active at once. Also, Earthquake has been a staple of the AoE rotation since forever, and you can't just ignore Maelstrom, which you wouldnt be spending otherwise.
I think at you will run ice fury, flux melting and ele blast instead of the three points on the left. With ice fury, and flux you will likely use the instant cast lightning bolts when you don’t have do t have anything else to press. Should maintain almost 100% uptime of ascendance. With the cheaper spenders talent, and ele blast as the spender. And the deeper maelstrom cap to hold max maelstrom for a proc to get two out easily for the extra 7 second extension. Ele should be good but it seems it will be going back to a big brain spec.
Good news on the brain specc part: Currently Ele just does not equip 4-set and play DRE with further beyond, because with the 2-set you get 100% uptime on Ascendance, so really you're only pressing two buttons.

I’m aoe it is completely different, you have to try and do the same thing juggling lava beam, lava burst, earthquake, flame shocks, and so and so. It is is even more complex if you play ice hot build.
would be good to see how the aoe build, you would normally run in m+, will perform on boss encounters. I assume this build does not perform well on st.
The numbers are fine. That's also not the point of the video... the point is to understand if the set works as intended and if it feels good to play. It works with any build Ele can use, provides a great stat boost and is versatile. :)
I felt the numbers be underwhelming. That was the burst of a Elemental shaman with all CD even with 3 proc of ascendance still barley hitting 275k. Other classes seemingly do 400K + in aoe. Sad Elemental are really fun to play.
This is only on 5 targets. Ele's damage scales much higher with more targets because of Earthquake. One of the few aoe abilities left in the game that has no cap. :)@@Getssuga1
I said this in another comment, but remember this is just 5 targets. Classes have very different damage profiles depending on the number of enemies. Ele Shaman's Earthquake scales really well with more targets. It's one of the few aoe abilities that is still uncapped. Other classes that are capped at 5 targets are going to outshine Ele on testing dummies.@@Getssuga1
Lol, this isn't even what the tier set does anymore, the 4-piece has changed completely. Also its on the PTR, in lower ilvl gear then we can reach now that the patch has gone live. You're a little late to the party my friend. :)
