I saw them 5 times in the late '70s and early '80s and that's how I'll remember them but given the opportunity I would've gone to this show in a heartbeat. Why? My ticket was originally for April 2021. Following two cancellations and rearranged dates, I was by fate at this final Last Domino, the Last Show. What a special night and when Phil announced that this was the final Genesis show, an amazing vide exploded round the O2. The Fading Lights was a poignant song but , the semi acoustic Follow You Follow Me , a wonderful memory to begin all the memories of Genesis. Stay With me……. we will Phil, and Tony and Mike. And Darryl, Nic, Chester too.
So glad I first saw Genesis at Knebworth in 1978 at their height of their physical and vocal powers. I saw the very last show of all at the O2 London. A bit of a sad swansong to witness, particularly as all songs with lyrics were keyed down to accommodate Phil's weak and laboured vocals.
Genesis will forever remain on my playlist and in my heart. Much respect for Phil being on that stage and so nice to see his son carrying on in his fathers footsteps. Bless you guys!
It was back in '76-'77, when a friend of mine came knocking at my door holding the SEBTP album and as soon I opened the door he goes, "You've got to listen to this shit!" He was paying me back for having introduced him to Yes. Afterward, I went to every record shop looking for every Genesis album I could find and their body of work was simply outstanding. What they did after Gabriel, and after Hackett, was just as spectacular. It is very, very sad to see them come to an end but the legacy they left will live on until the end of the world. I'm so happy to have been there for every bit of it.
Had a chance to hear Selling England by the Pound right when it came out in 73 . Still one of my all time favorite albums . It reminds me of my High School days .
We were moving from NY to Texas it was a three day drive back in 1976 my older brother had just got Wind and Wuthering on 8 track, we listened to it over and over the whole trip, I was hooked since then.
I had seen Genesis in 87... I was at the last concert in Paris... very emotional. A page turns. We all had tears in our eyes (Google machine translation, sorry I don't speak English well enough)
I was there that night: it was an amazing gig, and a real privilege to see my favourite band of all time playing for the last time. I was too young to see Genesis in their heyday, but I grew up loving their music. I was able to take my then 8yr old with me to this gig (it was the first gig she'd ever been too) and she sang along to every song they played. Thank you so much for putting this together. I have loved watching it (and I can't wait to show it to my kids)
@@reesebrindle1809 Me too!! Great compositions, the best in rock history IMHO. No one reached the same level in a bunch of records from Nursery crime to Wind and wuthering

This could have been called the Thanks For the Memories Tour. I think that’s why fans went. Goodbye to a band who played a huge role in their lives. Yeah, it’s sad, but also a real farewell, love you, well done. Poor health and poor finances forced me to miss this. I salute my favorite band. None of us who started loving Genesis are the same 40-50 years later. I love them all, especially Tony, my inspiration as a keyboard player. Thanks for posting this.
I love you Phill Collins, thank you so much for every songs, feelings and emotions what your had made a long for years!!!!! You are eternal!!! Tanks a lot for Genesis and solo career !!!!!! Kisses from Brazil👏👏👏👏👏🌹

After 53 years they gave the best they could as always, first of all Phil..oh man i feel so bad seeing him so suffering.. Insane performance of Tony Banks
Saw them 36 yrs ago in Leeds...the power went except for the microphones apparently and Phil filled in the gap with an impromptu stand up routine.... he was brilliant! So glad that I saw this....sad yet such an honourable way to say goodbye.
I have seen Genesis 7 times, starting in the 1970's. My wife has NEVER been to a US rock concert and this was her first. I was so happy and sad at the same moment. She is now a Genesis fan. Thanks so much for letting me give part of myself to my new wife as every song had meaning in it to me as it was part of me growing up. Thank You Phil, Tony, and Mike (Daryl and Chester). Nic did a great job as well.
Sad to see Phil so ill, and unable to drum, but we thank him, and this wonderful band who, in its various manifestations, have delighted us for decades.
that was something special to watch Phil leave a stage, most likely for the last time, Genesis or solo. I think he thought that himself since he took a bit more time to say goodbye
For here below these sacred stones of ROCK lie the great lords, the long lost purveyors of stories old, enchanted tales told with lyrical melody, vast stretches of atmospheric harmonies, Orwellian dystopias, fire from their fingertips, all with the grace and majesty of kings. Well done lads.
Thank you for doing this video. It must have taken ages to do, but very worthwhile. I have seen Genesis 20 or more over the past 50 year (yes, 50 years!). I was there that final, Saturday, night. A very sad but fitting farewell.
I recently saw an Interview with phil Collins where he talked about the lamb lies down on Broadway Tour. He said:> I smoked a small Stick and than Played it , enjoing myself and that's it
Gracias, gracias, gracias, me dieron mucho, mucho, en mi niñez y juventud y hasta hoy soy muy feliz cuando los escucho. Gracias a todos los que formaron esta inmensa banda! Y muy especialmente a Phil! Gracias, Thank You, Mercy, Danke!
Spectacular job 3SJL209, my deepest congratulations from Buenos Aires (Argentina) for allowing us to experience a taste of what was the (I hope not) last night of one of the greatest band of all times, but mostly for letting us feel moved by the love and admiration that Phil inspires, not only as Genesis fans around the world, but also to humanity
Thank you Genesis. You are the soundtrack of my youth until to this day. I grew up with Genesis’ songs. I formed a band tribute to Genesis with high school friends. And watching you guys in DC last year was just like a dreams coming true… I could sing along your tunes with you the original band. Greetings from Indonesia
Thank you for putting this film of the last show together, superbly done! It's great to be able to re-live those O2 nights taking me back to the mid seventies when my older brother force fed me Trespass and Nursery Cryme and turning me into the huge Genesis fan that I grew up to be along with the other 5,096 people who have viewed this great piece of film and editing work. Thank you. And thank you Genesis for providing us all with the soundtrack of our lives.
Genesis A band of amazing talent performing amazing songs. After Genesis bows out, there will be a great big hole in millions of the hearts of best fans ever!
Thanks for uploading this. The look on Tony's face as they bowed was hard to take. At a very young age he was aware of the fragility of the music business (Many Too Many, Duchess, etc...), and yet he and his mates made it for over 50 years. Still, the end had to have been hard for him. He's one of the most underrated musicians of all time IMO, and Genesis has been a favorite of mine for a very long time.
Saw this tour in North Carolina and wow... incredible. Thank you for taking the time to memorialize the show with the painstaking work of stitching together these videos. Great audio quality, editing, and final product. Thank you friend!
I was on the fence to going to this show in Amsterdam, bought tickets for a steal on ticketswap. My concern was Phil, that I didnt want to remember him like this, but I'm SO glad I went. No Phil wasnt at his best, but he did give it his best. I couldnt live with myself not seeing the final tour of my favorite band of all time. I'm 39, unfortunately way too young to have seen them in the Gabriel days, but I love everything they've ever done. Glad to have seen them twice in my life. (I do feel it was a shame Gabriel didnt join them for a song in this particular show, he was there....wonder if they discussed it...)
Peter didn’t want to be onstage. Genesis reached their commercial success after he left. This concert was for Genesis and that was where he wanted the emphasis to be. He didn’t want the headlines to read Peter Gabriel Joins Genesis For Last Show. Although it would have been great hearing him, I commend him for this.
@@giraffezebra2698 Yeah he's always been sensitive that way, it seems he also saw to it that he had other obligations scheduled during their Hall of Fame induction so as to not have to decline because he'd feel bad to do that, but he wouldn't be comfortable attending knowing they were being honored on the strength of their work after him. After the 1982 reunion and redubbing old recordings, he kept away. Still, a part of him looks to have a fondness for the old stuff and can never quite close the book on it completely, but not enough for him to follow through whenever revisiting it is teased.
Years from now, you won't care Phil wasn't his best. You'll tell your great-grand children you saw this show; and you'll be the envy of everyone you know. You'll keep it in your heart for all your life.
I was on all three shows of the final tour in Cologne. The sound in Cologne was fantastic and blew me away and i am happy to find your video showing it too. Thks a lot for your efforts.
I looked up the meaning of the word 'Epic' and it took me to this video. Fantastic, as a lifelong Genesis fan, this is still great to watch. A fitting sendoff to a legendary band. A superb band that will be sadly missed. Thank you, uploader, for keeping this piece of history for us all to enjoy.
....its really amazing to think Collins is one of the top (today!) drum sequencer-programmers ever...he really pioneered alot of it in the late 70's early 80'S...search for Neil Peart talking about attempting to duplicate a track of Phils....for 2 months without success!!!
Hello Great fans of GENESIS, just want to mention that this situation with Phil, it is NOT his age but his Spine which was probably affected with all those years Mega drum playing Again that's what a Spine problem does to us ( including myself) And yes GOD BLESS ALL MEMBERS OF GENESIS !!!
I hear you dude. Had a spinal cord injury myself back in 2001 when I was 38 and just going to be 60 and have no idea how Phil could sit in that chair all that time I know I couldn't and the pain he must of been in. I think they should have stopped after their 2007 Turn it on Again Tour which I saw and was phenomenal..
Tellement dur de voir Phil comme ça ! J ai pleuré à la fin de ce concert ..... une page se tourne , un beau livre se ferme ! Génésis , je vous aime !!!!
I have fond memories of seeing many shows with Genesis and Phil's solo tours. As these musicians age it will be expected health issues will prevent them from touring. Eventually bands from the 1960s and 70s will face this. The Who, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Peter Gabriel, Fleetwood Mac, and others will eventually cease to tour. But they have left us with such great music that will endure for decades.
I saw the tour in Charlotte NC. I had a blast hadn't seen them since 1986 in nHouston Texas. I spent a great deal of money and the best seats. I will never forget this last show.

Brings floods of tears to my eyes. I'll never forget them. They've given me so much.
Oh yes you do , nothing else to say
I didnt realise you had used my fottage in this montage, thanks for the credit and amazing job of putting this all together. Forever Genesis
Ah love your message ❤
This band will live forever. Incredibly multi facetted, and frankly the greatest, IMO.
Agree!
@@reesebrindle1809 Me too!! Great compositions, the best in rock history IMHO. No one reached the same level in a bunch of records from Nursery crime to Wind and wuthering
Go phil go 🙏🏻 one of my heroes 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 bless u with love ad light amazing tour .
I never got a chance to go to the final show. But with tickets sky rocketing, I was able to watch it right here. Prayers for Phil.
Mike was really kicking it on this tour!
I'm so glad to have been there for the second to last show. For me, the most bittersweet moment was probably hearing them play The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway live.
I have got so much respect for Phil,it is just beyond imagination....Thank you for being a part of my youth,I will never forget Genesis !!!!
Being in my sixtees,I still love to play Genesis from time to time,...I hope to do it for a long time still ;)
@@ronjansen2391 I just turned 60 and like a good cigar, nice cold Heineken and Genesis almost every night in my garage and my neighbors even comment on my great taste in music. Saw them from 1976-2007..👍😎
This could have been called the Thanks For the Memories Tour.
Hope your health and finances have improved. There is only 1 band. Love them forever. Supper's Ready? Oh good, I'm starving.......x
I never got to see Genesis but I did have the honor of seeing him in 2004 by himself and it was a bucket list moment.
I love you Phill Collins, thank you so much for every songs, feelings and emotions what your had made a long for years!!!!! You are eternal!!! Tanks a lot for Genesis and solo career !!!!!! Kisses from Brazil👏👏👏👏👏🌹
Ma vie aura été bercée par Genesis et Phil Collins. Alors merci et merci la vie.
La mienne aussi !
Thank you dear sir for this most excellent happy yet sad moment in time! I wish only the best to Philip, Michael & Anthony! They graced us for multiple decades with music that became the soundtrack of our lives! & as fates would have it, they retired in England playing London🏹⌛️🎼🥁🎹🎸🎤🎭Happy Retirement ❓❔❓❔❓❔❓⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️
Genesis music and emmbers almost feel like family to me, i will always carry them in my heart
4:34 AM and I'm bawling my eyes out. Love these beautiful people so much. Thank you for all the music Genesis.
My heart breaks yet my joy and gratitude abounds forever.. Thank you Genesis
Thank You for Your Service to ALL Genesis Fans!!! I appreciate it. (I saw them in Pittsburgh and Boston)
Thank you for doing this video. It must have taken ages to do, but very worthwhile. I have seen Genesis 20 or more over the past 50 year (yes, 50 years!). I was there that final, Saturday, night. A very sad but fitting farewell.
Give just a show to me, i never got the chance to see them, but i've seen Phil live and was amazing!
Big respect for Genesis. And all bend members.
I recently saw an Interview with phil Collins where he talked about the lamb lies down on Broadway Tour. He said:> I smoked a small Stick and than Played it , enjoing myself and that's it
Great comment about the greatest performer ever and agree 110%..👍 Cheers from the United States
Thanks, it was quite some editing. :) The soundtrack I was lucky to get in a pretty good quality from another uploader.
Gracias GENESIS por todo, crecí con esta música, afortunado de ser contemporáneo de esta maravilla, gracias !!!!!!!
Thank you for assembling this video! You can see that it was a labor of love and I thoroughly enjoyed it! :D
I love his brave tenasity.
This just makes me so sad... hope the concert at least gave him some emotional comfort, I know phisically it must have been a struggle. :/
Always THE BEST !!!! Thanks for all GENESIS ...
I grew up with YOU and I thank you for that
One final smile at Tony and Mike ... and then that's it. The greatest live band of all time!
Genesis
A band of amazing talent performing amazing songs.
So proud and grateful I could be there that amazing night❤
Saw this tour in North Carolina and wow... incredible. Thank you for taking the time to memorialize the show with the painstaking work of stitching together these videos. Great audio quality, editing, and final product. Thank you friend!
My pleasure! :)
This Is for You. And this is for Phil. Enjoy.
I am 41 and saw them in Philly
Years from now, you won't care Phil wasn't his best. You'll tell your great-grand children you saw this show; and you'll be the envy of everyone you know. You'll keep it in your heart for all your life.
@@vonnoosh they could've sung carpet crawlers together, not that hard
I was on all three shows of the final tour in Cologne. The sound in Cologne was fantastic and blew me away and i am happy to find your video showing it too. Thks a lot for your efforts.
I saw them in Paris the previous week. It was a privilege. Truly one of the greatest groups ever.
Que felicidade assistir Phil de volta com Genesis! Grande show!
Genesis best band ever absolute LEGENDS
Watching the three of them bow and then walk off the stage for the last time...that was tough.
....its really amazing to think Collins is one of the top (today!) drum sequencer-programmers ever...he really pioneered alot of it in the late 70's early 80'S...search for Neil Peart talking about attempting to duplicate a track of Phils....for 2 months without success!!!
Hello Great fans of GENESIS, just want to mention that this situation with Phil, it is NOT his age but his Spine which was probably affected with all those years Mega drum playing
Again that's what a Spine problem does to us ( including myself) And yes GOD BLESS ALL MEMBERS OF GENESIS !!!
@Walter Just on a different note look for my comment and give that a read.
It’s been a long ride thanks for all music guys you mean’s very much to the hole world what a wonderful band 😢
Fanatstic audio quality - thank you ! Love this band - they are legends.
Tellement dur de voir Phil comme ça ! J ai pleuré à la fin de ce concert ..... une page se tourne , un beau livre se ferme ! Génésis , je vous aime !!!!
Thank u so much for making this for us to enjoy! Its really brilliant and must have taken you so long. Your effort is very much appreciated. 💕👍
Thanks! :)
I will never forget this last show.
well, i discover this video today, tears have fall on my face everytime a song started, i was born in 1970 and i'm glad to have Genesis music in all of my life... we will never have music like this again... Thank you Phil, Mike and Tony (and all the others)
Awsome job !!! Broke me to tears (watching Phil so helpless and on the same time his son doing a great job ) A part of a journej is it's end.. :( Thank You so much makin this
Well, I became musician because of Genesis. Watching this show drove me into tears! Phil Collins is an amazing drummer and his son replaced him doing a great job, his so gifted as his dad! Thank you Genesis for all the performances delivered to the audience! Thanks, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, Steve Hackett, Daryl Stuemer, Peter Gabriel, Chester Thompson and Nick Collins! ❤
...eine Ära geht zu Ende mit viel Wehmut und Trauer Phil Collins so zu sehen !!
Fading Lights and Carpet Crawlers were the most powerful moments for me in these shows. So glad they had one more go round! Future is still uncertain! Love you Phil!
I am so glad I saw Genesis so many times in their prime. I know its great that Phil got out their on the road with his band members but its time now to take care of himself as music as he loves the music and as brilliant as he is its important to take care of himself.
Thank you, Great Genesis!!!!!
Still the best there is. Thank you for so many great memories. Bless you.
All I can say is .....Thank You Phil you gave me some amazing music that whenever I hear it brings me back to some fantastic times in my life. We rarely get to observer so much talent. Your a master musician that will be missed.
who even bothers to give 200% in such a physical condition? just a great musician like phil collins who loves his fans so much and we love him and his band !
Very good, thank you so much for doing this, I'm from Brazil and I didn't have the opportunity to be in this show, but with this wonderful edition of yours I could feel the emotion, congratulations on the job well done.
Thanks!
@@3SJL209 thank you so much for this. It was awesome filming.
