Awfully sad.
At least the vocal tape was in sync, am i right?
One step too far. Not including Chester Thompson was bizarre after all he did for the band. Wheeling Phil out was cruel like a zoo. It was a tour that should never have happened. A curio at best with zero musical value. If they had had guests, Gabriel and Hackett then it might have had a reason. But no new material they literally had become their own Tribute Band. Nothing imaginative at all for poor old Phil a simple office chair leaving him permanently exposed at the front. As a long-time Genesis and Collins fan I can think of nothing quite so horrible and bizarre. I would have much preferred a final proper Genesis album with his studio contributions where they could be tweaked. His vocals are agony to listen to here. Its like going to a victorian fair and looking at the bearded lady or two-headed baby. Can't listen to it, and Tony and Michael should have pulled the plug during rehearsals. Very sad. Even the end of Turn it on Again starts to drag slightly from Nic, winding its way to a premature death. I suggest a hearing test if you think otherwise. No end of reverb and backing vocals can hide was a farce this truly was. Shame on you Tony and Mike.
Phil reminds me of Master Yoda. God bless you. May the force be with you.
There's no way this is the last show ever..... I have a feeling Phil and the guys will rise again!
I was 27 years old when I saw them in Montreal for the FIRST time in 2021. I was 24 when Phil did his final solo tour. I was crying both times... Not because of his age or because he was walking with a cane. I was crying because finally I was seeing my favourite artist. Yes I wish I was born earlier to see them at their prime. But that cant be help😅 Yeah his voice was really rough sometimes with high notes, but You know these where hard notes even when he was 50. Anyway, like Phil said: "feel free to sing along so that I (we) can sound better😊" I sang with him and them, and everyone else. What A Night!🎉
Phil's career was absolutely amazing. In my opinion, he is the coolest musician of all time.
Not a single person attending any of "The Last Domino?" shows was upset (angry) that Phil is no longer able to hit some of the high notes. They were so grateful for the opportunity to see one more Genesis concert and full of love for Phil, Mike, & Tony. Everyone, Phil most of all, wishes time hadn't been so cruel and robbed Phil of his physical health, but everyone was so amazed at Phil's passion and ability to belt out these songs for two and half hours despite his current physical limitations. While I am sad that Genesis won't tour again, I am so incredibly grateful for all the years of outstanding Genesis music, their amazing concerts, and for all they gave of themselves, Phil most of all. Love them. Will miss them.
exactly!
Una pena muy grande que este sea su ultimo concierto 😢😢😢😢😢😢 I❤ Genesis
Firth of Fifth! One of the most powerful progressive rock tunes ever featuring the extraordinary Daryl Sturmer: one of the world's greatest guitarists!!! Love. Sheer fukin love...
Closest we’ll ever get to Gandhi doing a gig!
Geez he sounds drunk
Thanks for putting this together. It was fantastic. Thanks to Genesis for entertaining me.
This was a fun project! :)
@@3SJL209 You did excellent work.
It's very sad to see Phil like this, he can no longer walk or sing. The music is incredible, but he should have left things as they were. He will always be the irrefutable idol in the heart of humanity. It wasn't necessary to reach this state and still perform live.
was there a cut between Fading lights and Cinema show? It seemed such an abrupt transition
That happened actually like how you see. As far as I remember, the only parts where I had to make a tricky cuts was around 51 / 65 mins sections, where they introduce and retire the 'club' setup as there was no footage for those. :)
This is so amazing and sad at the same time. Phil sounds so tired here. Enjoy the retirement fellas. You’ve more than earned it.
Mobile phone camera and mic quality. Shit!
Gênesis sempre 🎁💎
As for me, I'm going to go listen to older live shows or original recordings. I can't take Phil's attempts at singing. Stopped listening at Mama. Love him. Music sounded great. Couldn't bear the vocals.
immensi....
Looking back at Genesis' career, I would've loved it had they been more active releasing more albums and touring more from the 90s onward. Phil spent too much time distancing himself from Genesis with his solo work and personal life and troubles. The fact that Genesis' final studio album with Phil was WE CAN'T DANCE in 1991 is sad and disappointing because I would love to have a handful more Genesis albums to listen to from the 90s, 00s and 10s. 1991 is just too early for their final album together. The fact Tony and Mike continued with a new singer bravado Phil stubbornly didn't want to do it is unfortunate. At least we DO have the albums they DID release with Phil as Frontman. It's just they could've accomplished so much more and released so much more incredible music.
Shared in honor of Genesis Genesis is an English rock band formed in 1967 at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, by schoolmates Peter Gabriel (vocals), Tony Banks (keyboards), Mike Rutherford (bass/guitar), Anthony Phillips (guitar), and Chris Stewart (drums). The band's name was suggested by former student and pop impresario Jonathan King, who also produced their first album, "From Genesis to Revelation" in 1969. This debut album did not achieve commercial success, leading to a parting of ways with King. After several lineup changes, the band's stable formation in the early 1970s included Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, with new additions Steve Hackett (guitar) and Phil Collins (drums). This lineup propelled Genesis into the forefront of progressive rock with albums like "Nursery Cryme" (1971) and "Foxtrot" (1972). "Foxtrot" featured the epic 23-minute track "Supper's Ready," which became one of the band's signature pieces. Their 1973 album, "Selling England by the Pound," further cemented their reputation, containing fan favorites like "I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)." The band's most ambitious project during Gabriel's tenure was "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" (1974), a double concept album telling the story of Rael. However, following this album, Gabriel left Genesis in 1975 to pursue a solo career, leaving the band in a precarious situation. Phil Collins stepped into the role of lead vocalist for their next album, "A Trick of the Tail" (1976), which was a commercial success, proving Genesis could thrive post-Gabriel. Steve Hackett left the band in 1977, reducing Genesis to a trio of Collins, Banks, and Rutherford. This lineup transitioned Genesis from progressive rock to a more accessible pop-rock sound, achieving significant commercial success during the 1980s with albums like "Duke" (1980), "Abacab" (1981), and "Invisible Touch" (1986), the latter spawning multiple hit singles. Phil Collins left in 1996 after the successful "We Can't Dance" (1991) to focus on his solo career, leading to the recruitment of Ray Wilson as the new frontman for "Calling All Stations" (1997). However, this album did not replicate the commercial success of previous efforts, leading to a hiatus. Genesis reunited for the "Turn It On Again" tour in 2007 with the classic lineup of Collins, Banks, and Rutherford and again for "The Last Domino?" tour in 2021. Genesis has sold between 100 to 150 million albums worldwide, making them one of the best-selling music artists of all time. They've been recognized with a Grammy Award, induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010, and numerous other awards for their contributions to music across their extensive career.
Una de les gires més llastimoses i penoses de la història del rock. Lamentable 😢
No es lo mismo bque un en vivo 81 de tres lados en vivo o la gira del 87 con la fuerza y sarcasmo de collins , ahora es solo un recuerdo..
tremendo
I love Phil. I couldn’t go because I couldn’t bring myself to dee him like this.

This is heartbreaking to listen to. :(
Love this- great memories of a spectacular night. Such energy in the venue. PC had become the Musical Box character that PG used to perform 50 years earlier. NC on the kit was ace. MR; TB and DS still playing better than ever.
This is a great video ! Thank u. Stoked to see them in January
Hey Phil….i pray and pray for you but when you level to go up in Jesus Name…. Really really… we never forget what you done for us also with your great Team togheter!🤥🫡🫡❤❤❤
I just find it amazing that Genesis lasted so long...Over 50 years talk about rolling with the punches life gives you. This has and always been my favorite band. I think that they lasted so long was they all got to go out on their own then came back to the magic. my favorite song if I had to pick is "beyond the silver rainbow" and the 100's others they wrote. also because I am from and live in NYC " I want Back in NYC played......I just loved in the early 80's how us students attached ourselves to a band example {Rolling Stones ,the Who.. Led z} to define us. I believe Genesis and Peter touched my soul the next thing that happened the school was listening to Face Value .. 3 sides live and seconds out. John Patrick
I was wondering if that concert was recorded for a future blu Ray ?
OMG. This senile old man should have stayed in his bed, his voice sounds so weird. What a shame. 🙈🙈🙈
The best Concert! But! People was like vegetables.. unbelievable!!! Zombies maybe even better than this fans! Nowadays this true!
shame, sorry Phil but this awful
Sunday, 17 May 1987, 19.00 CEST, Roma, Italia, Stadio Flaminio, opening act Paul Young. 21.00 Genesis, The Invisible Touch Tour Live!
Их осталось трое.
Son better than father?
Realmente creo que fue una falta de respeto con Chester que por lo menos no lo llevaron de percusionista fue parte de la banda por decadas
Love and appreciation for Phil, Mike and Tony, but with due respect, as a 50 yr old Genesis fan, I choose the Wembley 1987 live concert as the memory I will always cherish when remembering them.
