  • The Yamaha 195S is a premium level boat with all of the upscale treatments that Yamaha has put into its larger boats. For those who can certainly afford a boat with top of the line treatments but still need a smaller size, this clearly delivers.

    Why boat test videos aren't more critical about the product, is there nothing wrong with the boat?! Stop trying to sell me the boat but help me figure out which one is better than the other.

    Great boat & review! Would love to see
    1. more power to get over 50 mph
    2. Higher windshield for taller drivers
    3. Easier(lower) walk in to cockpit

    Seems like the marine mat should be on the engine cover walk through when the cushion isn't there. Without it there will be a lot of bruised drunk uncles.

    How come no mention of the wake tower or water sports towing? Does the wake tower fold down to a storing position? Does it easily pull a skiier out of the water?

    I have the 2020 SX190, its the same w/o the tower but with a biminy top. Love it,, Stay out of the sand. The engine hates it...

    I wonder why Yamaha doesnt make a regular outdrive with a prop as an option for their boats or why they don't make a boat similar to these but, will take one of their outboards.

    • @bigd50
      @bigd50 2 года назад

      Perhaps the other boat manufacturers who buy their outboards wouldn’t like it.

  • @ryanrake2714
    @ryanrake2714 2 года назад

    it seems like a good boat, but I don't want to deal with the reliability of supercharged boat engines, the minimal space in the engine bay, and still having less space than an outboard that is faster and more efficient. These jet boats are cool but I like an N/A v6 or v8

    I wish yamaha made cooler looking boats... I like alot of things on the yamaha but the scarabs are just soooo much more badass looking, with tons of color and design options... If I'm spending that much on a boat I'd like to be able to choose from more than 1 or 2 basic ass colors, and probably the main reason we will end up going the scarab route

    • @rcr-zt4of

      I agree on the option with Scarab. The problem with them is their dealer network is far more scarce than Yamaha…at least out by me.

    Kind of disappointing, I just bought a 2021 sx195 and haven’t had it in the water yet. Every video I’ve seen claims 52.3mph and now I see this one that says 48?

    • @luckywang141
      @luckywang141 3 года назад +1

      All the RUclips vids I see with actual tests (camera at speedometer) seem to show 48.

      The sx195 is lighter and without the wake tower, has less drag.

    Its a nice review but error found at 5:29 and onwards.
    1. It lists speed in MPH (Miles per hour) and then converts it to KPH (Knots per hour). Here is something wrong, the numbers are actually KMH (Kilometers per hour) and not KPH.
    2. Why put in numbers for MPH when we measure speed in Knots on the water. That is just silly from an authority on the water like boattest.com.
    Otherwise, Captain Steve is great as usual.
