    I always wondered why my father always hated me growing up. After learning more about narcissism, I came to an understanding that narcissists have a lot of self-hate and my father was projecting his anger and insecurities on me as he saw me as an extension of himself.

    I am a trigger for my mom. I’ve started doing work for years and now they call me codependent. I temporarily blocked my mom through the end of this month for my sanity. It’s wild I’m double the age of 18 and she still pushes and controls as much as possible. I still want to honor thy mother and I still love her but…
    Powerful you mentioned why it takes us a while to start our work, too. This video is very well described.

      Thank you so much!!! No matter what your age, you will still see you as the child she can control. Once you are clear and start to integrate your new boundaries with her from a place of your anchored SELF, she has no choice but to change or exit. You may want to check out my inner work 1 class. This round of classes is 8 weeks and we are doing daughters of narcissistic mothers. it is discounted for who ever joins before monday.

    Thanks for sharing this video. It felt like it was a direct message for me. 😅 I did have very rough childhood and had to cope up from bad habits. You are absolutely correct about the fact that we ourselves should not be affected by the society and their views. No matter how I hard I try it was always about being co depandent me and also I have always required external validation especially from my parents who never in my childhood thought that I was good enough.

    • @CandacevanDell
      @CandacevanDell  Год назад +1

      It makes sense that you would always be searching externally for validation because you never received it from the place you required it from. Many codependents end up having a "broken receiver" because often times you can not allow it from anyone until you get it from the original place. You simply don't believe you deserve it unless mom or dad agrees

      That's very true. How do I stop relying on such situations and make my own decision and come out of this situation where I feel vulnerable?

    I gotta thank narcissist for creating this monster in me. I wouldn't be fighting for my goals so much If it weren't for their doubts. The more they ignore my true dreams and aspirations, the more angry I get and the less I surrender. They thought they could bring me bad weather, they didn't realize I'm the storm.

    Narcissit family dynamics is horrible we can see both extremes in the same family - the golden child and the scape goat. Family is the basic social inistution from where a child learn social skills. Since narcissit family is a dysfunctioning family which lack communication a scape goat don't known how set boundaries for relation. Since a scapegoat is exposed to long term psychological abuse he may end up in low self esteem, fear, guilt, anxiety and depression

    For this reason I cut my father out of my life because I refused to allow my light and my attributes to be dimmed any longer, same with my mother she has this thing where she makes excuses for peoples bad behaviour and I said to her one day “ your biggest problem is this she lost it and got annoyed, I thought you wouldn’t get annoyed if it wasn’t truth spoken, the jealousy that comes from these so called parents is ridiculous how can you even allow yourself to be jealous of your own child or hate them? When they come directly from you? It’s true we have to keep shining no matter what it’s tricky to navigate around them sometimes but I truly believe this also that God didn’t make a mistake when he gave us the contents he gave us, we are to inspire always no matter what, thanks Candice this is so powerful 🙏🏽
