We just did this on my 2016 Ram Rebel with 40k miles on it. I had a friend help, so we could 'tag team' it. Before we started I told my friend this was only supposed to take an hour. We both laughed (knowing how exhsust systems fuse together). It took us about 50 minutes to get everything apart and 15 minutes to install the new muffler. Close enough to an hour to me. We did have to cut the clamps of the back of the stock muffler, loosening the bolts didn't help. It sounds great and with the Mopar CAI (that I installed a few months ago) they seem to add some power. It is almost like I switched back to the 32" stock tires, from the 34's I have now. Thanks for the help.
Just a word of warning. If your truck is a few years old the factory muffler doesn't come off this easily. I just had this muffler put on my 2013 Ram. I took it to a shop and they fought with the factory muffler for an hour and a half before it finally came off.
Your exhaust work was done by kids with lil experience. if you were removing the factory muffler they could have used a splitter which goes on an air chisel that will split the pipe in mere seconds. It took them a lot of time because they have limited experience and tools. also if muffler is using old school clamps there is a tool you can place in the pipe and expand it so you can ding the pipe with a body hammer to restore it to original condition to make the new muffler slip on effortlessly.
I'm curious how did you get the muffler off of the tailpipes without removing them? I've always seen people take the hangers off of the tailpipes first before trying to remove the muffler.
I have a 2018 Rebel 5.7 and was wondering if I need to tune the truck afterwards for any reason or if I can just swap out the mufflers and no need for any extra work?
Hey, Erick! Sounds like theres a possibility of installer error or a defect on the clamp itself. I would recommend calling our customer service team if this is a part that you ordered from us to see what we can do. I have a feeling we'll likely refer you to a local shop to have them take a look at things and request some pictures of where its leaking. -Zach
A little misleading of a video, the stock muffler is extremely hard to take off due to the clamps (at least for me) , I literally had to pry and snap them off the pipe and still wasn’t able to pull the pipes apart.
ron nelson yes I just had mine installed on my warlock the videos don’t do it justice it sounds great when you start it up and when you step on the gas but too loud that you can’t hear someone talk to you while driving on the highway for a long time
@@thefarmer9555 Thanks! I have one on mine now as well, what do you think about the drone? This is my first exhaust system so i have nothing to compare it to.
ron nelson it’s not bad I think it’s not too loud if your on the highway going a constant speed you can still here it but you don’t notice it that much I think it’s a great blend between being loud and not being a headache to drive around
If you're concerned about factory warranty, I'd recommend checking with your dealership before modifying your exhaust. But since this is just a muffler swap, you honestly should not have any issues. -Zach
@@AmericanTrucksRam Got in touch with the dealer and they said that it would not void the warranty simply because the warranty deals only with any lubricant component, but I would be responsible if something goes wrong with catalytic convertor or anything else relate to the exhaust system. Thanks for your response to my concerns.
Could honestly be a number of reasons! Clogged air filter, burnt out O2 sensor, clogged catalytic converter, dirty oil needing changed, worn out spark plugs or coils, or just having a heavy foot while driving if you have the 5.7L HEMI. If you have a lighter foot while driving and still have bad mileage, you may want to take it to a shop and have them look things over. It may just need a little tune up. -Zach
A single aftermarket part cannot void your entire warranty per the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Just replacing a muffler though will not cause any other issues with your trucks exhaust or ECU, so you won't have any issues. -Zach

Looks like a super 10 to me..the outlaw is a round straight through muffler

Would it have any drone noise on the highway?
Fit this one on the RAM 1500 classic from 2018/19/20 ?

You'll be able to just swap it and go! No tuning will be required. -Zach
What tools did you need for this install?

Straight pipe
Will this fit a 2016 regular cab ram with the 5.7 hemi and factory dual exhaust?
I'd highly recommend checking your fitment on our website to be sure, but It should fit no problem! -Zach
Any drone noise?
Mine leaks bad around the clamps. Any way to fix this or exchange it as defective?

Yes! This will fit 2019 Classic RAMs with the previous bodystyle. -Zach
have you put any on your truck yet chris Robbins
I was just wondering cause i got a 2019 classic aswell
Hi can you tell me why my ram is doing so bad mpg

@@AmericanTrucksRam thanks man I appreciate
Most likely is because you like the sound that comes from it, thus making you hit the throttle more often.
Will this cause engine light to come on for emissions reasons?
Nope I have this on my rebel and it's been perfectly fine
Irving Espinoza does it have any drone noise on the highway?
Irving Espinoza ?
Will this have any impact (positive/negative) on power or mpg?
No negative effects! If anything this will give you a little better throttle response and little better mpg. -Zach
Better mpg... If you can keep your foot off the gas that is lol
Yes! Have you had a HEMI with exhaust before? You’ll be stomping on it everywhere. Lol
Will it void my warranty on my 19 ram classic?

Lol they never adjust the tips on these test trucks.
