Legacy Media Throws TANTRUM Over Losing Control of The Narrative...

- Legacy media is BIG MAD about losing control of the narrative. The Hollywood Reporter is suddenly worried about Big Tech censoring on behalf of The Right, but it was FINE when they did it on behalf of The Left. Then we talk about Jim Acosta leaving CNN because they put him in the worst possible time slot.

I’m loving every minute of what’s going on. The jerks who censored, doxxed, banned, lied, and threatened are now seeing the results of their actions.
FAFO
It's like I'm making popcorn and watching the demise the legacy Media like it's a sport.
Yup they pulled every dirty trick and now they're crying over losing control.
Hope we can uncensor everything
"Do unto others, as they have done unto you."
It's not always the right move... or the smart one...
But it's always fair.
Sometimes, it IS the right move, and the smart one... because sometimes, it's the only way that they will learn NOT to cross the line.
Keep in mind about when they tried to ban Dr. Seuss, there was an important context. Melania Trump attempted to donate Dr. Seuss books to public libraries, they needed an angle to make this a bad thing because her last name is Trump. If Jill Biden or Michelle Obama were donating the exact same books, we would have been flooded with memes and articles about how wonderful Seuss was.
I never understood the hate. Sure there were a few parts that arguably didn’t age well, but banning them isn’t a good idea at all.
....while at the same time allowing books talking about Johnny and Jack in some blowie action.
@Cubeytheawesome The hate for it is pretty much just attempting to apply original sin or sin of the father on everything and anything and painting all art through the lens of US history. Including languages. It's why they also did something as stupid as Latinx, co-opting a gendered language to force a non-gendered English viewed version of how to properly speak a language that wasn't their own.
In the end it is all stupidity. It's also pretty stupid that these same people were basically encouraging the equivalent of book burning to fit their agenda.
Yup.
That was why? People lost their minds, going on and on about how it was all bad and wrong and evil for Dr. Seuss to exist, and it's ONLY because a FLOTUS donated books?!
As a new voter, (this election), i will vote against these people every single time.
as someone who has been voting for awhile. my suggestion is to not confuse groups for individual people. right now the republican party looks a lot like the democratic party 20 years ago. don't get attached to names, look critically at what they are actually doing. The hypocrisy has been naked for a while now, but unfortunately for the perpetrators, it's now also omnipresent and in-your face.
You'd be amazed at how many still don't see it. There's a lot of, particularly older, people heavily propagandized walking around out there.

From ChatGPT:
"Repressive tolerance" is a concept from Herbert Marcuse's 1965 essay. He argues that tolerance can be repressive when it supports the status quo, preventing necessary social change. In this view, allowing all opinions to coexist can actually suppress marginalized voices by giving equal weight to harmful or oppressive views. Marcuse suggests that true tolerance would involve actively suppressing regressive or harmful ideas to foster progress.
In debates or arguments, this perspective might be used to justify dismissing certain viewpoints outright, especially if they're seen as perpetuating injustice or harm. It's a controversial stance because it challenges the traditional idea that all perspectives should be given a platform in a free society.
The rapid spread of TDS made me realize that hate can spread like a highly-contagious disease.
90 years ago, the media realized that mental illness was contagious. And they were the vector.
Are you familiar with the tweet that actress Gina Carano in so much trouble at Dismal?
That is *exactly* what she was trying to warn people about... and she was also 100% correct.
Which is the real reason that they fired her... because she was trying to give people a peek at what is hiding behind the blue curtain.
HINT - it's the thing that they *claim* is hiding behind the other curtain.
I think much of US business and media discovered TDS won't pay the bills anymore than identity politics did and him getting in more or less helped many regain their lost stones and call time. Zuckerberg coming right out and saying 'our fact checkers were biased so we're getting rid of them' was pretty brave if not a bit late. But better late than never.

Weather channels that show the weekly weather with classical music playing in the background are better news than what lies mainstream media are doing.
Sometimes they even play movies' musical scores as well. For example, I heard them play both the Jurassic Park theme and the Indiana Jones theme.
I follow a random chick with downs who posts daily weather and I live no where close to her state or city. Its literally weather that doesn't impact me but she posts saud video every day. I take time out to watch it. Cause it's wholesome
That reminds me of Paul Simon's "The Only Living Boy In New York," where the protagonist says: "I get all the news I need from the weather report.";)
The Traffic reports are also nice.
Weather channels have their own issues. Pay attention when watching them, there's an agenda in play there.
I remember back in 2021 someone accused me of being an anti-vaxxer simply because I liked somebody's video criticizing world governments' containment methods. (i.e. Australia's camps) So yeah, screw legacy media.
You should not have been accused of anti vax. But in fairness Australia had no 'camps' and no one was carted off. The Northern Territory instead of using hotels for the two week quarantine of those entering the country via there, had a park with cabins available built to house illegal immigrants awaiting refugee processing which was empty. Owned by the State and more comfortable, using it saved government spending on hotels and people had their own cabins with decks so could go outside whenever instead of the 1 hour a day we got, far enough out not to mix with the population for that 2 weeks. The world's tennis players willingly arrived for the Open and did their quarantine. Truth matters too.
@tkps Pretty accurate outside description of WW2 germans' camps. Just because it's cabins and not tents doesn't make the park not a camp.
Are you trying to mislead, by stating an opinion, followed up with a particular area and its camp, so to mislead not all Australian camps are like that?
3 aboriginal youths was at a point send into one such Australian camp, escaped and re-arrested? Are you denying their existences?
@@ShiraLiao You are talking out of your arse. Australia had no 'camps'. I never took a single dose of the vax and was never threatened with a camp. Yes the cops acted like thugs, but how is this anything new? Cops often do act like this. Victoria was particularly bad because that State's government is neo-Marxist and that's how they always roll.
It was pretty much over night where they changed the definition. It went from someone that won't give their kid a measles vaccine because mercury or whatever, to pointing out a six ft buffer between ppl in an enclosed area is absolutely meaningless, is the same as aids denial.
What really bothered me was the unwillingness of ppl previously wanting to debate even for theater, wouldn't even allow the questions in their comments section. Some of these ppl were actually relevant scientists like virologists and microbiologists. Then ppl that spent their yt career telling ppl to search for the primary sources and direct quotes for context, were only telling you to do that when it supported their narrative. Even in the critiques the conversation was so contaminated that many times ppl lost focus and asked the wrong questions, and that was further used as an example to misrepresent the critiques. The entire thing was completely disingenuous.
The Germans had summer camps too. 😂

They only cared about the O word when trump won, never before under j03y
The thing about Jim was that he not only questioned and nitpicked every single little thing that Trump did or said in bad faith, but he would interrupt the answers to these questions with yet more questions. In addition, he would act like he was the only one in the press conference, frequently interrupting and/or stopping other journos from asking their own (probably equally dishonest) questions. Then he cried about it when his childish behavior towards everyone got his White House press pass revoked for one day.
Early on, there were a few times where I fully expected him to strike an intern for daring to try to say it it was someone else' turn to hold the mic.
His mission was to disrupt press conferences, mainly with the Russia bs, so they could talk about that in their "news"
Boom! I was going to say the same thing, only not as eloquently.
He also put his hands on a female staffer when she tried to take the mic away. That’s when he got banned from the press pool.
Jim Acosta used my brother as a verbal human shield at a Trump rally once. My brother was a sports photographer for a local newspaper during Trump's first term, and they sent him to photograph a rally in (insert nearby major city without doxing myself). Little bro didn't really follow politics at all, and didn't even know who Jim was. Up in the press booth, Jim asks my brother if he can hide behind him because the crowd can be "a little intense", and my brother naïvely agrees. So during the rally, when Trump points out the press booth for lying to the people, guess who's now front and center and who's out of sight? Jim is a coward who can't handle taunts from a crowd who couldn't touch him anyway.
They're mad that they cant lie anymore
They can, just nobody is watching.
I am so very glad more people are coming to understand and talk about this. My only regret it's been +10yrs and popular media still afford to get away with spinning very harmful/divisive narratives.
Florida wasn't really banning books, it was more of an age restriction
Appearently "age appropriate" has been redifined as "banned." I swear, if movie ratings were started today, they'd say we were "banning" movies and tv.

The irony is that if the news story doesn’t mention the race of the perpetrator, everyone knows exactly what the race of the perpetrator is.
We'll they shouldn't of lied at every possibility.
It was lying, like about Musk''s "Nazi salute" and Trump's "firing squad" comment, but more it was about covering up things. I went to "journalism college" - and found out I was making more as an assistant manager at Domino's than I would in journalism.
They literally lied and that’s why they are no longer relevant
My degree was in journalism, and one of my most influential teachers, an editor for an actual daily newspaper, contended that journalism shouldn't be a degree at all, that it was a craft, like carpentry, and had nothing to do with intellectual thought. Who, What, Where, When, How and Why. Inverted Pyramid articles, where the acme of an article covered all those W's (And H) in the first graph.
There's a degree for carpentry.
They didn't "lose the narrative". They held no value of it, tossed it off a bridge and forgot about. Then later learned "the narrative" was actually valuable, and are now suing to reestablish ownership of the narrative.

From the outside it was getting quite hairy in the US for a while. Granted we had similar issues with social media as culturally acceptable speech was interfered with for US cultural norms with even local colloquialisms claimed as offensive from ignorance. But outside that most had more speech freedom as things like employment protections forbade evil internal and external attacks on livelihoods with even employers unable to force opinions in the workplace. When that's protected all they've got is the online version of flouncing off or name calling. Problems arose there after opinions got sprinkled into factual news then morphed into 90% opinion. That 'reporting' remains so they fail.
