@@xerriis Well the comment said it's been 4 years but I was playing for a bout half a year before it so it's technically been 5 but that aside, I'm doing pretty good. In terms of ability level I can play a few of the things Davie504 does, (for example in his "I got a new bass" video with the orange music man stringray, I can play the tapping solo he does about mid way through, taught myself to learn by ear during that part as well) so I'd say I'm doing great at it. One crucial thing to remember is to always practice. Doesn't matter for how long, as long as you have a go at the instrument every day like I did, you'll get there in a jiffy. Practice is key and paramount to progress. If you're wondering how I learned, I taught myself to play by watching my favourite players rather than online tutorials, so if that's of any help to you then that's great. The only thing I learned from an online tutorial was slap bass, because I just couldn't fathom it out for myself. Lastly, if you're thinking of playing bass and music in general, then I would definitely recommend trying to learn songs by ear rather than tabs, that way in the future you'll be able to play songs that don't have any tabs available, or even any bass in them at all! It's a bit of a drag to start off with, but learning by ear came pretty quickly to me because I practiced it every day, even if I totally failed. Best of luck! If you have anymore questions, just leave em in a reply :)
That was a good job!! I am saving this to my "bass" folder...I want to learn bass, and just love this song....Might just be the catalyst I needed to actually get started.
en you were here before Couldn't look you in the eye You're just like an angel Your skin makes me cry You float like a feather In a beautiful world I wish I was special You're so fuckin' special But I'm a creep I'm a weirdo What the hell am I doin' here? I don't belong here I don't care if it hurts I wanna have control I want a perfect body I want a perfect soul I want you to notice When I'm not around So fuckin' special I wish I was special But I'm a creep I'm a weirdo What the hell am I doin' here? I don't belong here She's running out the door (run) She's running out She run, run, run, run, Run... Whatever makes you happy Whatever you want You're so fuckin' special I wish I was special But I'm a creep I'm a weirdo What the hell am I doin' here? I don't belong here I don't belong here
