At 1:53, I described a way to bypass the 'No command' screen. You can do so by simultaneously pressing the +volume and then the -volume button. Please let me know if this helps. I apologize for replying late.

If you reset it, you will lose all data and the settings be defaulted. You will have to back-up your data.
