I really appreciate the upload. Feist is one of my favorite authors, and i love to listen to audiobooks while doing work. So having Feist on youtube is perfect!
@@stephenreeves314Literally the same , down to the ages 😂. I started with Terry Pratchett and couldn't find anyone even close to his caliber until my gf bought me Talon of the silver hawk to try. Never looked back. Now 20 years later this is the 4th of his audiobooks I've listened too while at work. Superb.
I was going to say the same thing. It’s like an old record player or news commentary from the 1950’s. The quality is t the same as the other previous audiobooks. I got used to the sound quality and narrator. Hopefully I can adjust to this guys voice and poor recording quality.
@@nfj81 I’ve been listening on a website since I’m like 5 books past what’s been uploaded and There’s a new narrator for the last couple he actually says Arutha properly not a-root-a like this guy
Yeah it kind of bugged me. It sounds like 60s radio or TV. It sounds monotone which was required back in the day when radio was not as good and people did not travel so they were not used to other accents
one of the best continuation of an excellent fantasy series every printed. l Looking forward to the rest of the serpent war saga. As I have trouble reading these audio books are a blessing.
I really love that these are going up. I absolutely love listening to the rift war and empire series. And I think a big part of it was the narrator. I really wish it was the same guy. But Thankyou none the less
I was still in school when I first read these (90s) and then a few years later, when getting over the breakup with my first love a good friend got me back into reading and one book he lent me was the magician. And it took me awhile to connect those books to these. I felt like a bit of a plonker pmsl😂😂. Love these books. Still haven't read the final books though are this series

I first read this book in 1998 when I was 16, it was such memorable and immersive story. Im 40 and Im now just revisiting.
Almost exactly the same. I reread the books in my twenties and now at 40 I'm listening at work! Still love them.

Welcome Back
Is it just me or does this sound like an old timey radio broadcast?
Glad to be able to listen to it though

Brilliant 👏.
His voice is suited for a western maybe or a 1950’s book. “Now woman you listen and get I. The kitchen and grab me a beer
sounds like a bugsie malone conversation - who thought this narrator would work?
this is the bad version .. the new one on audible is fantastic
Three quarters of the entire thing is read by incredible David Thorpe. This narration is pure pain.
Thank you 😊
Thank you so much! Do you have Prince of the blood?

Just learned "King's Quest" was based on this world.
Can read this first without reading any knowledge of other books by him ??
4.49.12…”said Arutha”? Error?
I dont know....the mispronunciation of "long lyvde" is really bothering me.
The tale is enjoyable but why this voice???
It’s pronounced Duke not Dook!!! Grrr! 😡
Dook is normally only associated with pugilists.
Dook of oyl
