  • In this video, we are doing an in depth introduction to the Alpine Loop just outside of Silverton, Colorado. This is one of our favorite locations to vacation where we can take our ATV out and explore for a solid week. This is my son's first big ride out of state and was very excited to have him join. I highly recommend this area as a vacation spot. Here are some resources that I talked about in the video.
Resources about the Alpine Loop: www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_...
    Resources about Silverton, CO: www.silvertoncolorado.com/
Campgrounds we recommend: silvertonlakes.com/ Silverton Lakes has great established campsites, general store, and very clean Showers and Bathrooms. For a good campsite that is right at the entrance to the Alpine loop I also highly recommend the Eureka Campground eurekacampground.com/
    Places we love to eat:
Rocky Mountain Funnel Cake Factory: Great Food and Owners

Hey there Kirk! OMG, 350 acres, that is amazing. I have not published this announcement, but I am now on the East Coast (Northern VA), bought 30+ acres and really loving it out here. Will have to share riding spots, I am doing quite a bit of exploring already. Thank you for watching and your support. I am especially happy you sat through one of my older videos before I understood anything about making a video. Rob

Great video and tour of the Silverton Co area. I’ve spent some time in the area and shops. I would love to ATV ride up there sometime. The drone footage is awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Great and informative video, thank you. We are planning a trip to Silverton next year. We plan on going on Sep 15, 2022. Do you think that would be a good time of the year to ride the Alpine Loop? Also, I've heard that OHV's are no longer allowed on the roads in Silverton CO. With that in mind, is there a trailhead nearby for the Alpine Loop were we could trailer our UTV to?

Thank you for watching our video! We love Silverton, but have not heard about them restricting riding in the town which would be a shame. There are a couple of large staging areas right before going up the road into the Alpine Loop. There is also a campground at the entrance that we stay at for our first night that has large accommodations. I would not worry about finding a place to park and unload. Basically there are three entrances on the Silverton side to the Alpine Loop. The road gets a little rough if you are pulling a big trailer, but there are flat areas around the entrances that gives you spaces to park or picnic. September would be a busy time but the weather will be really nice. Still pack for rain/snow because at the peaks you get a whole different weather pattern. We were there in September and it was 50 degrees on the peak so we went from shorts to very cold very quickly. Thanks again! Rob
