Life is full of surprise... I tagged this video months ago as a good reference for "how to play The Weight". For no special reason a came across with this video again today just to realize that the "teacher" is you! Isn't the world that small? Good professional and good musician also. My best, Jose Stevaux
I've watched a lot of videos of this that never feel or sound quite right to me. But this just feels good. Many thanks for your effort and time putting it up!
Thank you for the lesson. It 's kind of like having that "nice guy" at the guitar shop show you something you've been trying to figure out on your own. Thanks again!
Just watched the Bands movie, The Last Waltz, which I saw when it first came out. This was always my favorite sing along so thanks for making it so easy.
Thank you. Sounds great on my Gibson Hummingbird Cutaway. I was playing the "It Might Get Loud Version" but Robbie's version is a pure. Cheers for the New Year.
Superb man .. you are right ... the intros as soooo important ... that is what catches people's ears. BTW this song is in the new Tom Cruise movie "Oblivion" representing the good old days. I know you could teach a wonderful "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down". A natural for you .. it almost has your name in it ... Dixon Dixie.
Great song I heard the Greatful Dead and Bob Dillon do it in 92 I believe. Awesome time, but I can't remember what year it was. About 3 or 4 years before Jerry died.
If this was 8 years ago I hope you are still around and doing well . These few variations and your sing along very helpful. You should do more new lessons, I like how you explain but don't waste time. Lessons, maybe Neil young or Grateful dead
I play keyboards not very well I might add. I admire anyone who can play guitar this well cause I've tried and failed. Nice instruction video. Great song.
Play this song using a capo on II and lower all the chords one 'letter'. This means A becomes G, D becomes C etc. This is much easier and true to how it's played on the record!
@horseman528 Its like an E minor but the barred finger is acting as the nut on the second fret. So basically by string and fret it's Low E 2nd, A 4th, D 4th G 2nd, B 2nd, and hight E 2nd. If you cant make the bar at least get the E A and D strings down... that will sound pretty good.
I don't know what an F sharp minor looks like. I can only guess from the video. I know your barring the second fret and putting your ring finger on the fourth fret on the A string but I can't tell where the other finger is. I played it and it sounds alright to me without the other finger. I just barred the 2nd fret and put my ring finger on the 4th fret on the A string.
Can you tell me what you do after you play the "D" chord when you sing "Fanny"? You play a few notes, lift up your index finger and then go into the A chord but I can't really follow it. Thanks so much for putting this on youtube. Great job!
im piss at you so bad case you have such a nice voice and you pick that guitar real good so piss that im subscribe to you lol love it very pro and good job
Great video and great playing but I still don't consider this a "easy" song to play in fact if I could play this I would consider myself not a beginner anymore. :)
Right on brother! Nice n clean great jam good vocals my dude \m/ >..< \m/ if u could make a video lesson of Zack wyldes machine gun man you will get a lot of hits. As there's currently no video lesson just a bunch of look what I can do hahaha,...

Thank you for the lesson. It 's kind of like having that "nice guy" at the guitar shop show you something you've been trying to figure out on your own. Thanks again!
