Wait ...green mountain minerals? In new york? The green mountains are in vermont ,connected to the white mountains,.. not connected to the adirondack mountains which are a southernly protrusion from the canadian shield ,a.k.a. the great eastern shelf...a massive bedrock formation that covers most of canada from ontario and halfway threw alberta, northwards and everything east of that ,though not remembering if newfoundland is part being it is a very large island.
    Nice minerals though!

Anyone know an email I can send pics to for an ID? I have a 20 lb chunk and 5 smaller broken pieces of quartz vein on host rock. There are emerald looking stones throughout rocks with gold, pyrite, silver and calcopyrite. I have had a local jewelry stores gemologist ID as emerald and from far east, Pakistan. It took a week for that to come back. He said to have a museum check and ID also for confirmation

I disagree. It can be incredibly beautiful and the best pieces are hardly, “cheap.”
