Yes, the dealer wasn't local, The local guy was charging $10K to $15K over MSRPs, depending on model. I got my 2022 SX AWD NF for MSRP by shopping around and being patient. I just picked up an 08 BMW 128i convertible for 1800. The car was in very nice condition until the owners son crashed it.
Deployed the drivers airbags. Tripped the anti roll bars out back. Took out the core support, radiator, and AC Condenser.
I went to a U Pull it. Grabbed the entire core support, rad, ac condenser, and everything else needed for only 515. Including the airbags!
The reason why this cars such a home run is the following.
1- owner paid for the other vehicles car in cash to avoid going through insurance.
Therefore its a clean title car. And the accident is not listed on carfax.
2- i own a body shop. A repair like this is an easy 2 weeks start to finish.
The car retails for 11k all day. Its white, light gray interior, black vinyl top. Interior has no rips.

I buy, repair and sell computers as a side gig. I work very similarly. it's a lot of risk because the market is so volatile. People are always looking for a $100 - $150 dollar kick around though so a lot of what I sell is used business laptops. Things like Thinkpads and Latitudes. I'll buy them by the pallets, clean them up add storage devices, add ram and install windows and flip them. Anything I can't sell as a whole I keep for parts for another. It's definitely a numbers game with an end goal of profit and above all happy customers. I get to take another man's junk for a few bucks to another's prized possession. It's risky nut fun. It's especially fun when I make a decent profit and a long term customer.

I know this is an older video but I enjoy watching these auction videos and showing what you decide will sell and what doesn’t. The different issues with various models to absolutely avoid. I’ve been looking around for a used pickup in good shape for a decent price, like the silver 2015 Chevy 1500 and the Ram Big Horn, and would be a cash buyer. Unfortunately it seems like being a cash buyer is a serious turn off, and having a buyer who finances is more desirable by what is mentioned in these videos. There must be more insensitive and profit for the dealer when financing is involved. The 2015 looks nice, I’m a bigger guy and there’s plenty of room behind the wheel in this truck, I see that it has a new transmission which also offers peace of mind as that is a known issue over 100k. Have always enjoyed the channel and the behind the scenes of owning a smaller used car dealership

In the current price decline environment, did you still save money pre buying all your tax cars versus buying now, when the prices are falling?

Your guy from Turkey should come to Mexico and buy a new Dodge Neon, which is made in Turkey. He will feel right at home.

Audi makes great looking vehicles, but as far as ease of working on them, not so much. The WRX Hopefully isn't hiding anything bad.

Hey Craig, great video… Very informative, thank you! Question, are you buying less from ACV AUCTIONS? Do you see a big difference in prices/vehicles quality between ACV and other auctions? Thanks!

Craig, since no sales tax is charged in NH, are you more flexible with out-of-state buyers, knowing they’ll have to pay tax once they register in their home state? I ask because I live in Maine and was thinking of buying a car soon…

I am not. Your state sales tax is between you and your state.
