  • Showing how the dt12 works up and down bills while in cruise control under a heavy load. Video was cut off at 5min, phone won't let me record longer than that.

    The transmission is not in neutral when it is Ecoasting. The clutch is released in Ecoast mode.

      Sounds to be the same concept.
      Oddly my chevy impala does this but it's got some other issues.

      If you drive a company owned truck they might have the Performance mode disabled.

    bro, what's your opinion on 2014 DD15 Dt12 with 485K miles. When should I start seeing problems? thank u. or what's the mots common on this year truck?

      I don't exactly know what you are asking the content creator, but I can tell you that automated transmission equipped trucks tend to get engine oiling problems earlier than manual trucks due to the drop in oil pressure and flow during Ecoasting.

      The company you work for needs to allow it through the cpu programming. Years later from posting this video, most companies keep the Trans computer in eco mode.

      I am sure it was 1400rpm. Every truck is different though. Dif gearing and transmission and tire size

      K Brown iam from Canada driving is 20 yrs never drove automatic but noticing there getting popular so watching different videos on different automatics see how they work in different situations..

    • @kbrown7570
      @kbrown7570  7 лет назад +2

      patrick white , just remember this style isn't the traditional automatic transmission. there's a gear box, clutch and friction plate etc etc, the difference is all the shifting is done with air cylinders and shifts faster and perfect, something no human can do. you can't lose a gear going downhill because the computer is that good.
      these save fuel and I bet in the long run lives as well

      like I said earlier iam driving truck is a long time always drove a stick but these automatics are becoming more popular and I like to educate myself on all the new technology and in time a person might have to order a stick shift tks again for the info...
