if you have this issue, before you replace the split pin check if the transmission or truck have any air leaks. if you big air leak, repair that first and test the truck once again.

The real problem it’s that when you tell a mechanic about it they don’t tell you about the pin, and they know about it, they want to change the clutch and it does make sense if the transmission it’s coming down but for some reason when I tell them about the pin they don’t want to do it
I had similar problems and replaced my air dryer. So far, that's worked for me.

Yo compré mi camión con 600 mil millas y vino con ese problema. El mío solo lo hace cuando la transmisión está fría. Ahora tiene 825 mil millas y aún me funciona igual solo cuando está frío. Conmigo hay dos formas de hacerlo funcionar… una es dejar el camión prendido antes de querer arrancar por una hora hasta que la transmisión se caliente a 111 grados Fahrenheit o la segunda opción, si es que tienes prisa de salir pronto, es poner la transmisión en reversa y luego brincar el selector a drive D de un jalón sin pausar el selector en neutral N y debería entrar el primer cambio. Cuando eso suceda, cambias el modo a manual y ahí ya puedes despegar pero solo puedes usar los cambios impares 1,3,5,7,9,11 hasta que se caliente la transmisión a la temperatura indicada los cambios pares funcionan y todo queda funcionando bien mientras esté caliente la transmisión
El problema es que los mecánicos no les interesa cambiar el pin es muy fácil pero tienen que bajar la transmisión y no quieren

I have the same issue I will like to bring my truck to you/ where is located your shop to do that job!
Let the air buildup until you hear a blow off. That's when u know all air-dependent systems are at full pressure.
