Chris A they took so long to ship it so that your window to return expires before you have a chance to see what it is and get a refund.
Something taking so long to arrive is a clear flag for a scam because they are waiting out the clock so you can’t get your money back.
How could a scam company be so popular around internet without getting shut down???
youtubers reviewing these are the niche that keeps them alive
Because the websites are in China...
Seriously I have no F***ing clue. But don't forget to include AliExpress in the same sentence. When those assholes burned me after I returned a $800 laptop according to how they asked & they never refunded payment, I formally filed a tip off on the US Customs website because when I mailed said laptop for return, I was instructed to Value it at less than 10% value or they would charge me further... Anyways, that's what's called Counterveilence(sp.?) of internationally traded goods and since they're likely issuing same instructions for every other person who returns: not only are individual buyers getting f***Ed but the Country is probably getting f***Ed out of a mil or 2 annually just from that individual company dodging trade tax. If I ever get rabies, my loved ones have been instructed to board me on a non-stop to Shenzhen just before I turn in to a zombie. Lol

Me too !
Back in the day...? Oh. Oh no.

Nah, the youngsters just do it the long way now. "GTX One Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Super," for example.

Damn...
Has*
And now we got the rtx 3000 series ;)
Or buy a truckload of RTX Titans from Wish.
"This 7800GT is about 15 years old." Way to make me feel old, holy crap!
haha, I guess I didn't realize how old we've become... My first high-performance GFX card was the 6800 GT. I remember getting it specifically to play Doom. I remember buying it and a case that weighed 30 lbs., a Phenom Quad-Core, 8 Gigs of DDR3, and a Raptor HDD. Wasn't my first rig I built, but was definitely my first one geared towards gaming. 14 years later I built a comp the size of a shoebox that has a Titan X, 32 Gigs of DD4, m.2 HD... Just to play Doom. lol
@@Sertaine Chassis that weighted 13.6 KG?
@@_thechosen oh man, that's a good question. It was a full tower. Black aluminum. I remember I put 4 ea 3.5" HDD in it and a DVD burner and a SD multi reader in the front. I bought it from CompUSA. I can't remember the brand. I sold it when I was still active duty and stationed in Texas. Sorry, wish I could remember.
@@Sertaine HAF X? Also, my first usable card was a 4670. I used onboard video until that point and going from a 32MB onboard Emachines integrated Pentium 3 to a Athlon XP 3000+ with a 6150SE chipset was marvelous.
@@Sertaine My first graphics card was a 1mb Diamond Viper
7800gt was no joke back in the day though "Worst card I've ever had"
Right! The first video card I bought was a 6800gt.
Oh man, I worked at FS during the 8800 GTX launch.
THAT was no joke.
its almost like a card would be good during its time

@@Marblewho haha yea
the website isnt doing anything illegal. wish works kinda like ebay, it's just an online marketplace, not a store on its own.
And its still in my representation!
@@butre. one scummy thing is, wish allows these sellers, they apply, and they accept, they're aware of chinese scammers and they don't care..

#2 more info on this video:
Hey guys,
I ordered this many months ago but in the meantime the ad was removed. Luckily I still received my product, to be honest it was out of the blue. The first part of the video is not the actual ad itself but one similar, since when I recorded the video long ago when I bought it I have since switched computers and deleted it.. I apologize for the order date as some people have pointed out not lining up with the story. Also I had this video saved but decided to upload it recently. Roughly I bought this mid 2018.
I feel the need to clarify this as I strive for honestly between me and my viewers.
Also this is not wish.com’s fault as they just allow resellers to sell items. I think the seller is scamming individuals who has since been removed. Recently they have done a decent job with keeping the high end card scams gone but there are still a horde of 1050ti scams going on. I would still recommend staying away from tech on their site.
I also since have been able to get my money back after a bit of time fiddling with support.
Also since I no longer have access to the account it was purchased on I can’t verify 100% that it was a 1080ti and not a 1080. I remember it as a 1080ti but I’m not 100% sure as I can’t look back. I don’t think it was one of the 1050tis still everywhere on wish but looking back it’s also a possibility. Due to it being flashed as a 1080 I would say not likely.
The gmail account(which serves as the login to wish.com) was either removed from their systems or I have been locked out of one of my emails and didn’t that login combo.
I remember in early 2018 when I bought a PNY NVidia GTX 1080 graphic card for a little over $400.00. At first, I was kindof concerned that this might have been too good to be true and that it might be a scam, but after running numerous modern games fine with at least 1080p high to ultra and over 60 fps, I'm sure that this card is legit such as Far Cry New Dawn, ran the benchmark and at 1080p ultra and 1.5x resolution scale, I get about 76 fps average. I guess PNY just isn't as popular as say ASUS, MSI, or EVGA.
I think you could buy a lot better card for 40. At least can you find the guy who sold this to you and ask for your money back?
@@Πυξίδατηςηθικής Fortunately, eBay has a good money back policy. I remember the funniest mistake a seller made. When I ordered a pair of Bluetooth headphones, a pair of women's tights arrived instead of the headphones, so I put in for wrong item recieved and then the seller immediately refunded the money without asking to send the item back.

Wish usually is decent about refunds. However they're like ali baba in a sense. They have sellers list on wish. That's why there's so many scams on wish. It's all knock off Chinese garbage with a few gems here and there
@@RegiusDecima I like that just because a company is in a different country, they can commit fraud on the internet...apparently we DO need international courts for this shit. Might seem like small potatoes, but consumer fraud is no joke. That being said, only a fool (not the uploader, since he knew it was probably a scam) spends 40 dollars on a video card and expects to get something that's top-of-the-line. Still...40 dollars was too much even for THAT piece of history.
@@bernlin2000 I mean there's so much stuff coming out of china nowadays I doubt any country would really try to
