Great video! Thanks for posting! I have a 2013 855D...I like the positioning of the gear shift much better in the 865M. Most options, other then the added lighting, isn't of much interest to me...maybe the roof mounted flasher would be a good idea. Even though I live in Vermont, I'd forgo the cab and heat...but not the windshield! Again, thanks for posting a very comprehensive comparison!!
Great machine. It’s a shame John Deere sells it with a tempered glass windshield. Mine was hit by a small rock and it shattered to a million little pieces. The shocks that hold it up when you open it caused the windows small pieces to explode into the cab sending glass shards into the interior of the cab all over the seats, dash and floor. Thats a big safety hazard to occupants in the cab. Also, it was storming at the time and all the interior was drenched to the point of water running out at the bottom of the door seals. Also all the dash electronics were drenched and the very nice headliner and Side covers were soaked. I contacted my dealer, the new windshield is over $700. So beware, if you have one of these machines a small rock could shatter the windshield and endanger your eye sight because the dealer is unaware of the material the windshield is made of. Good Luck!
Bummer, that is not cool when the glass breaks, we know the glass can break and they make plexiglass windshield too that you can install but we had that version too and hated how we scratched it on the trails so we went with glass even though it can break like truck door glass and tractor glass can
I agree but since they make plexi I assume that is why they dont with other option available also since front windshild glass more pricing then side window glass and competition just makes plexi glass=(
Did I see a diesel particulate filter on that or is that just a different muffler? I have the tier 1 2012 855d s4. It’s a school bus lol. I like what I see, is that radio ok to get wet from not having the doors on and such? If you think 500 hours is a lot, mine has about 4000, a lot of idle time though it feeds calves.
LOL 4000 hours is great for engine like that, ours doesnt idle much but miles wise we have 12000 miles on it lol. As for the tier 4 engine it has a different muffler system and it does about 50 hours they say heat up to remove particulars but there is NO DEF which is great=) I also love the radio and will see on the wet part, i did get the older ones head unit wet some with hose washing inside the cab but sure you cant power wash it lol its just jensen head unit, it does come though with the release bar and the unit comes out with the bar inserted as whole piece for washing which is nice. Also the lack of mud flaps is great too, the wider cab covers the wheel edges better and hence no need for the mud flaps
I buy them online years ago think there still made and i wire them into them into the power that turns off with the key www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004NJ4W9Y/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

@@RMSpeltzFarm They should be made of laminated glass which cracks but doesn't shatter.
I agree but since they make plexi I assume that is why they dont with other option available also since front windshild glass more pricing then side window glass and competition just makes plexi glass=(
Where did you get or did you make the rear seat?
Omg I would like to have one but when you take the moment to think about the prince... Need to work a lot
Do they offer hard doors?
Hello Sadie I am a fan of John Deer Do I get this wheel I need me for her to be my farm owner
Good review man. Can you get the extra seats still for the 825i's
Did they change the amount of leg room. I am 6'9" and am looking for a side by side.
Yes the entry and exit area is not near as confined by the fender bump of the older ones, and the seat adjusts back farther.
Hi there, just about to purchase a 865m in the UK just wondering how bright the LED work lights are? and if there worth getting as an optional extra?
I love them they are about 40% brighter then the others
That's great then, they've only just started coming across to our dealers over here so know one really knew if they where any good! Thanks!!

BTW, quick question...where did you get that low profile hazard flasher mounted on the roof? Is it hard wired into the system or a plug in?

Hey, GREAT JOB on comparing the 2 Gators! 😎,,,,,,,
does ur M have tilt wheel like the R does?
I does=)
What's the noise levels in can like compared to the old one
actually very similar, not any noticeable change to me volume or rubble wise
I have a 2014 855d but it's a four-seater
How much is the new gator
Gator diesel runs about 13-15K I think and gas is 10k on down I think
@@RMSpeltzFarm thank you
Can you tow a bush hog with this and use it to mow?
sure can
I really want one of these
It looks like a 2008 Polaris ranger
good info
