Hi, I just wanna say that your editing and script writing skills are good but the audio quality is not so great. Good mic and sound card can easily improve your videos.
I was curious to know if it supports Unified receiver? I did not see the logo of it on the mice so assumed it will not work, after testing I could confirm my assumption was correct.
Used this for a few years. The silence is great. After several years my surface became smoother and the optics would randomly not detect movement. Looking into gaming mice I realized too that the lack of published polling rates and click latency may mask bad performance in those areas which will put you at a disadvantage in FPS games. It's 1000 dpi which is now low. Logitech has newer mice with darkfield technology that can work even on surfaces as smooth as glass. Most of the new mice are 4000 dpi and above. Ideally I need a mouse that's silent, has decent gaming specs and ergonomics for work.
Good point. It seems their entry-level mice generally have 1000dpi. Frankly, I don't have a suggestion in mind, but upon quick search: Razer DeathAdder V2 and Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum seem to be top picks for silent mice for gaming. I don't know much about DeathAdder, but I know G502 is a great mouse
I would suggest that left-handed people who are interested in this mouse just give it a try, as I find it works fairly comfortably in either hand. No issues with the battery cover on mine, either.
Thanks for this! Really enjoy the structure of your videos, I like that they are short but well-organized and still informative. Just wondering, do all logitech mice require macOS 10.5 or later. Does that mean I can't use it on older macOS?
Thank you for your feedback! I really appreciate it. I make it a point to keep my videos concise. Interesting question. Not all Logi mice have the same system req but it seems like macOS 10.5 is the oldest supported macOS. AFAIK, not meeting the system req doesn't necessarily mean it completely won't work -- it may or may not work, and if it works, stability is not guaranteed.
HAH! Thanks for mentioning about the loose battery cover. I have M330 that has that issue. And I thought M331 is gonna be better than M330 with the loose battery cover issue but seems like it's not the case. I have another M280 at hand that has no such issue. But unfortunately I couldn't find this model here. The M330's left mouse click became insensitive after 2 years of using. But the M280 is still working fine after 4-5 years @_@
hahaha yeah it is a little confusing, it seems Logitech uses various model numbers for essentially the same product? not sure hahaha wow 4-5 years! I had to replace the microswitches on my M720 on its 5th year. maybe the silent microswitches aren't as durable as the normal ones? although to be fair, there are also reports of normal Logi microswitches going bonkers in less than a year haha
i really like the m330. i actually am using one but lately the battery keeps falling off from its original place so it keeps turning off. n after doing some research into buying the best wireless mouse under $20 this is still the best option so i bought another one lol
Use m331 for almost 1 year. Now the scroll wheel not working anymore. Sad. I was so happy with this mouse. But now it's like other mouse, will have issue within 1 year even i use it with good care. Now thinking to get other mouse with similar size n feature (silent click) but better in durability. Any suggestion?
Have you checked Logi M190? It's their fairly new full-size mouse around the same price range as the M331. Anything else in this price range is compact. I'm only familiar with Logitech mice though
@@earlmalaki ooo okayyy, i have one (different brand), it pisses me of bcs the battery doesnt even last in 1 week. Idk why, that's why i wanna buy logitech one. Hope it lasts longer for 1 battery use
I see, that's really inconvenient. Well, I can vouch for the long battery life of this mouse and other logitech mice powered by AA battery. The M720 that I've been using for roughly 4 years is still on its 3rd battery :)
@@earlmalaki cool then. I just ordered the M331 bcs of this vid! Thank you so much! I hope its good as u said. Also, how do i know its original? The material is rubber on where we put our thumbs right?
That's great! I'm glad I was able to help! Based on the info I gathered online, the fakes are of really bad class so it's easy to spot one. It should have the M330 or M331 mark alongside the logitech unifying logo on the underside. The dot light at the top of the mouse (near the logitech wordmark) which glows green when you turn the mouse on, should be on the same level as the cover. Clicks should be silent. And the overall quality and the plastics shouldn't feel cheap.
@@earlmalaki note: unifying receivers not included in the box, just non unifying receivers. i paired it with the receiver of my keyboard(k270) which is unifying ready. an easy way to distinguish if a logi device is unifying ready is to find the unifying logo on the device (google "unifying logo" idk how to describe it lol)

I messed up the voiceover quality on this one and have only realized from some of the comments haha I've improved it on the other/newer vids! Thanks!
I got this mouse (M331) after seeing your review the day before. The best review i could find which didnt waste too much of my time.
Glad to help!
Was thinking about upgrading from M330 to a M720 and that mouse click sound comparison helped me to make that jump ! Thanks btw ! Subbed

A really nice, honest review. Thanks.

Is there a full size version of this? Or anyone got a recommendation for a full size silent mouse?

Plural haha

You need to have a collar mic man. The review was really great, but you really need to have a separate mic.
