I just thought I'd mention for anyone that is using origami paper with a pattern on one side, start off with the pattern facing down if you want the pattern to show when you're done. :D

I used to do this sort of origami at schools, however we had units that could be joined in 4 and create triangles so I used to build pyraminds etc. Is there any tutorial for this sort of unit? It is very similar to the one you've showed... I am dying to figure it out- will be very grateful for your help.
+Izabela Jelonek There's a unit called the 60-degree unit. A tutorial on the five intersecting tetrahedra can teach you how to make it. It can be made with any ratio paper. Hope that helps.

Finally found it. I do have the book of this lots of variation and models to follow but it was written in Japanese. But its well illustrated.
