This just proves that you don't know anything about the sport of boxing. First and foremost; if there was a hypethetical investigation conducted in relation to fraud, then there was a guilty verdict, then the subsequent action would be the Association of Boxing Commissions would lose any licenses, reputation, face criminal conduct and the entire sport of boxing would suffer as a consequence, not to mention the MMA registry, and Boxing Rec. It depends on the fighter really. If they’re popular, most people don’t really care, whereas someone like TJ Dillishaw got destroyed because of it, especially because he lost using PED’s.
My biggest issue with this whole thing is that if Ryan did this against any other fighter he would’ve been rightfully lambasted by the entire boxing world and ppl would genuinely be pissed. @wade The logic used in your comparison is inconsistent. A fighter arriving drained and underweight is fundamentally different from one arriving at a comfortable weight. Similarly, comparing a fighter at their normal fighting weight with one slightly over it is also distinct. The key difference here is that both Devin and Ryan came into their fight comfortably, whereas Ryan was evidently drained coming into the Gervonta Davis fight. Both Devin and Ryan rehydrate back to comfortable weights on fight night, and neither appears as if they have been starving themselves unlike the Davis & Ryan fight.

2:45 it’s an interesting debate. Purse bids and bout agreements etc say what Devin gets to fight Ryan. Awarding him money beyond that feels it would be a punitive measure and more akin to a civil suit.
That’s not fair either. It can’t go to Devin. Contrast this with a ufc fighter missing weight. They both have to agree to the relatively standard ufc procedure to forfeit 20% or so to the other guy before they touch gloves. strict liability is clear here plain and simple we agree on that. But you have to prove Ryan KNOWINGLY did it. That wasn’t proven, no matter how likely. Thus I would imagine that’s atleast in part why Devin isn’t paid what amounts to hazard pay. If it was deemed an accidental would he agree he’s not entitled to that money ? To settle that would require what’s closer to a civil case, IMO. And I know nothing. Going to golden boy I 100% agree CAN be dicey. Though you didn’t use those words. We can’t track that money once it hits Oscar’s account. Now I won’t slander Oscar but I have no way to know what he’s doing with that, if Ryan sees any, etc. but it 100% should NOT go to the commission. So if it can’t go to Devin, Ryan, or the commission, it seems the best option really is to go to the promoter who had some fiduciary obligation to promote the fight regardless of how dirty he was. Worked delivered and the money in theory is in useful hands. But again, there are ways that can be exploiting. Though there’s no better solution that can be reached other than escrow it and tie it up until it could be litigated. Boxing economics are a fckn dumpster fire tho so I highly doubt anyone would advocate for that. It’s a mess

Ryan Garcia cheating whilst thinking it was close to Devin being an actual weight bully was his downfall.
Devin definitely chooses opponents much smaller than him but at the very least has the discipline to weigh in properly. Him accepting the fight and some of his antics after the fight with Victor also did come off as BS behavior.
I still think that in hindsight, Ryan would've beat Devin if he made weight and didn't take any drugs since he just has Devin's number. This is coming from someone who picked Devin to win. Shame it wasn't a fair fight, but hopefully the rematch happens.

In order for most peds to even have an effect you need to take them in higher dosages and cycle on to them for a period of time like a 1-2 month period for you to get any effects that are actually beneficial to the person using them. Ryan getting suspended is fair because he wasn’t able to prove it wasn’t in his system since boxing has such a small legal limit for ostarine being in your system but there’s a reason it’s a 1 year ban and not a life long ban. At the end of the day Devin Haney weight drains fighters and balloons up in weight well passed a legal range for certain commissions like in the Regis fight he was 25 pounds over his initial weight on weigh in day when he fought which is passed the legal 20 pound limit. He weight drains opponents and balloons up with all of his fights that are notable victories since the Jojo Diaz fight. Ryan exposed all of Devin’s flaws that night and no claims of ped use actually matter because it wasn’t even remotely close to a dosage to even give him any performance boosts. It’s the equivalent of a human eating fish from the grocery store and being exposed to a small amount of mercury. The point still stands that Devin got beat and exposed.
So Ryan retired before the punishment so when he gets suspended he can stay quiet and continue to proclaim his innocence and persecution by those we don’t know 😂 sad to see how this kid has spiraled out.

Multiple bodybuilders and doctors has said that ostarine doesn’t boost your performance and if anything dampens performance, as well as how late the ostarine was consumed it wouldn’t have been able to take effect. So even if the previous test that Ryan PASSED, Ryan wouldn’t have had any beneficial effect.

The arguments behind Tank’s win over Ryan and Ryan’s win over Devin are pushed by different circumstances… It’s pretty clear that Ryan coming in 3 lbs overweight (which doesn’t even matter fr cuz Devin still came in heavier on fight night) and having the traces of Ostarine in his system that he did wouldn’t have made a difference cuz the fact of the matter is Devin has pillow hands, and he does get wobbled a quite a bit in his fights (and that’s against opposition that don’t have KO ratios as high as Ryan) styles make fights and that was just a bad match up for Devin. BUT when we go over to Ryan Vs Tank the story isn’t just black and white… Tank’s hook lands on Ryan regardless of weight sure but how he RECEIVES it is NOT the same; that night Ryan looked like he hadn’t eaten in days, clearly his body didn’t handle the weight cut well and he wasn’t in proper fighting shape. With all his ribs showing it’s no wonder a body shot is what stopped him🤣He shouldn’t even be fighting at 135 in the first place, he’s 5”11 and has a much larger frame than Tank so obviously Tank would be more efficient at that weight. I probably sound like the biggest Ryan glazer rn but I promise yall I’m not😭I’m just saying a 140+ Ryan takes a punch from Tank better than a 135 Ryan, however when it comes to Devin, he would’ve lost anyway cuz it’s just a bad match up
