Allowing the driver to stay in the cab during unloading? That'd be at least a written warning to any Yard crew member on shift and pretty much career ending for their manager. Interesting how what is considered to be absolutely crucial safety rules differ from company to company :-D
A lot of places allow it, I mean in australia, I find the places that have those automatic chocks and that you have to unhook air line and hand keys in. You can sit in the truck.

The drivers can sit in their cabs in most places, as long as the keys are handed in.
