These are adorable designs and I bought 2 of them to add to my collection. I have embroidered over 30 rolls for Christmas gag gifts this month using my single needle SE1900. They are a blast to do and my friends/family have been cracking up over them. I did not use any topper. I floated my TP using my 4x4 magnetic hoop. I carefully pinned each corner outside the design area and watched closely as it stitched and had no issues. :)

I have never embroider on TP I need to try I have a lot of people asking but I say sometime soon great video and font to watch when I work on my orders.

It's easy to do, I got my files from Etsy. It is lot of fun. Make sure you adjust the size of the design to fit the height of the TP. I had to reduce the size.

You do t need the topper. I’ve never used it and it embroiders fine. I also float the tp rather than hoop it. Very cute design!
