I wanted a Breitling for a while but just couldn't settle on one. I got engaged in Ireland last August and a few days later flew out to Geneva. I bought the Premier B01 in Green at their flagship store on the lakefront, actually my finance bought it for me as a gift. We had a glass of champagne and then an evening walk along the lake, beautiful moment and beautiful watch.
I really like this clean aesthetic, this particular model actually needs to make no excuses at all. The date window and font is very easy on the eye, and I can see this being versatile on a brushed+polished steel strap as well. The pushers, indices and classic Breitling logo come together beautifully. More of this please, Breitling! Also, imagine if they were to do a simple 'Pilot' watch at a competitive price point. That would rock the boat.
@@michaelbishop9157 I can't think of a better in-house chronograph with a vertical clutch column wheel at this price from a storied brand... 70 hour power reserve to boot. Take your time thinking of a better option... ESPECIALLY 2nd hand prices.
Couldn't agree more, it's devinitely an underrated watch from Breitling, and one of the best looking. I love how it's just unashamedly just a luxury chronograph - unlike the Navitimer, Speedmaster or Daytona that were all originally made as tool watches, the Premier B01 has one job - to be luxurious & IMO it achieves that easily
The hate comes from those who forgot that there exist people with larger wrist size like me who can’t wear beautiful watches of 36mm and 38mm *cries in 42 mm to 47 mm
I suspect it has something to do with how many times Breitling has changed hands, as well as selling the rights to make its designs to other watch companies.
A lot of hate come from the size and CVC (the venture capital) has destroyed the brand. But for the B01 self winding movement....the rest are junk. Send a Breitling back to have the battery changed out....they will tell you the 15 year old watch will need to be rebuilt for $700 to $1,200 before they will put a new battery in it.
I own this piece, all I gotta say is this is definitely one of the best $5500 I have spent on watches (bought it from a fellow TRF member, mint condition, hella deal)
Watches are not a necessity these days, they are a fun hobby. If you are happy with the amount of money you spend on a piece, and you enjoy wearing it, that's all that matters. Who cares what anyone else thinks? Heck, if someone wants to rock an Invicta, as much as I dislike that brand if they seem happy with it then more power to them. We spend too much time putting others down for their choices to the point we drive people away from the hobby with our snobbishness and intolerance.
Based on all i've read and watched, the B01 movement is the best newly released movement over the past number of years. It's so good Rolex decided to use it in their Tudor Black Bay Chrono.
@japanwatchconnection they use only one movement - the b01, in only one mode the black bay chronograph. But they upgrade it with silicon etc ... you are confused with breitling using the Tudor movements in their 3 hander + date watches ... like super oceans etc ..
That's a beautiful watch. I love that it has a panda dial and a column wheel movement, but 42mm is probably too large for me. At 38-40mm, subdials at 4 and 8, and no date, it would be perfect (for me).
Points of view are subjective but this Breitling is not on the same level as a panda daytona. I believe that a lot of people would agree with me, maybe not on this bias channel.
Alexanderalwayslate do you regard any opinion that is not in line with your own as “biased”? Because that’s just called having another point of view, which as you mentioned, is “subjective”, and thus all equally valid. Finally a favorable video from you guys on Breitling. I'm one of those that have supported them for years. I have five. All pretty interesting pieces and made well and have run strong for years. Since you like the Premier series I suggest you look at the Super Ocean Heritage II series it's stunning as is the new reinvented Chronomat. There are more but that would be a good start. As usual great video.
I agree here. Admittedly as an owner of a superocean heritage ii, I am a fan of the brand but it would be nice to see any review of a Breitling not to start out with a recap of their mistakes. They have been hitting it out of the park for several years now. This is a stunning watch.
I get into watch game from Breitling Colt gmt 2005, since then it grow me to Rolex from Datejust, Submariner and GMT Master. Since this Premier B01 on the market. I knew i should have one. Got this brand new on the grey market with a very good price, they told me they got it when people do bundle-ing Rolex with this Breitling Premier B01. Imma happy owner. And btw, you always did a very good job on reviewed watch. Appreciate it and thank you!
That one is my favorite Breitling. Especially thanks to slick pushers. The one in rose gold is on my list. I hope the new movement is gonna make its way into Avenger II GMT. 42h power reserve is pretty poor.
I still prefer Omega’s speedmaster to B01 as represented by dark side of the moon, which is thiner and lighter than the B01. I remain a Navitimer fun and I proudly own one. Great video!
Really beautiful watch. Best timepiece Breitling has designed in the last 10 years. Breitling has been great when combining different elements into a watch, like the Colt, a great and robust aeronautical field-military watch and still one of my favorites for casual occasions or vacations. This one integrates elements of a racing watch into an elegant watch. It is so nicely designed you could also wear in most formal events (black tie excluded). The only thing I do not like is the contrasting stitching. I understand this is kind of a Breitling trademark, but if I could change one thing, it would be the color of the stitching. It‘s great to see that Breitling is back on track! Well done, Breitling. And thank you Watchfinder for this review!
Most of the latest Breitling models have been amazing. They've beaten Longines in the reissue game, and I literally can't wait to see the revived Chronomat in person. From pics it looks better than the original.
To me the ST1901 is way more beautiful than a lot of way more expensive chronograph movements since most of them have a big automatic wheel obstructing the vision which is not pleasant at all to look at. The Seagull gives you the full movement at once and it really is beautiful.
You mean the column-wheel manual-wind chronograph built in-house that has historical importance and a beautiful design? Don’t let the price tag deceive you into thinking you don’t have a great watch on your wrist.

Breitlings got really great quality, movement and modern aesthetics. The only gripe I have with them is the box you receive, it feels so cheap. Also, the resale value is horrific.
Really like this although the proportions are all wrong like many of the new Breitling’s. The new zoro Breitling is a real looker too but like this it’s much to tall. Breitling’s biggest problem is it’s fallen down to Tudor in the brand pecking order especially as Tudor and Breitling share movements. I hope people start buying these as this current collection could be Breitling’s last roll of the dice according to some.
I love Brietling watches I own 3 a super avenger 2 48mm/ navitimer 46mm and a bentley motors edition 49mm I don't personally care for rolex people buy them for a status symbol only ,they were popular in the 1980s not so much any more
Maybe someone can help me out here, at 4:59 the reflection of the second hand seems to show defection at the bottom of the hand, is that normal for Breitling?
Like them or no, if you are a designer and your work is not sometimes polarising, then you just aren't trying. Love or hate Breitling, fine. But to hate the Navitimer in all its iterations is just poor taste. This peice is beautiful too.
This is undoubtedly a great piece of machine...but...for me a Breitling chronograph can only be a Old Navitimer or a manual Cosmonaute...i mean hestetically....they are AS iconic AS the Omega Professional Moonwatch...
I wonder how any wrist watch managed to survive but a few days in the trenches of the WW1. They weren't mud proof, water resistant or particularly shock resistant. Of course there was no sapphire crystal either but the trench watch got around that one with a few bumpers across the dial..
You do an amazing job with your videos. Only suggestion would be a slight tweak on the music. Stick with the same vibe but please consider tweaking it or changing it. It's kind of a turn-off to have the exact same song looping over and over for month after month after month. I know you are trying to create a home five and it works but can a little creative and you can retain data continue to make this great content. I feel like I'm going crazy sometimes listen to that song.
I just watched the Hamilton Intra-Matic Chronograph video and that watch was so handsome and rugged this watch is the Hamilton’s pretty boy younger brother. This watch is gorgeous with all the Heritage and prestige behind these 2 panda dial chronographs I’m almost at a loss for words with how visually appealing these 2 watches are.

Breitlings got really great quality, movement and modern aesthetics. The only gripe I have with them is the box you receive, it feels so cheap. Also, the resale value is horrific.
The Lorier Gemini would be a decent (and much more affordable) chrono. I can do without the in house movement.
That's a beautiful Dan Henry homage.
"Breitling is like marmite" I've never thought of it like that, it's true, love marmite, not so much breitling
Would you rather this or a Speedy Moonwatch?
This is a pretty looking watch & such clean piece from breitling is bit of a surprise. Good job Breitling. Love your videos btw.
More Breitling videos please. I love 'em!
So you're basically saying, if you can handle 42mm, this is a flawless watch.
Hey your voice is back to normal.
Like them or no, if you are a designer and your work is not sometimes polarising, then you just aren't trying.
Love or hate Breitling, fine. But to hate the Navitimer in all its iterations is just poor taste.
This peice is beautiful too.
I am quite shocked by the finish of the second hand (backside) 2:12
The nicest chronograph on the market, in my opinion.
This is undoubtedly a great piece of machine...but...for me a Breitling chronograph can only be a Old Navitimer or a manual Cosmonaute...i mean hestetically....they are AS iconic AS the Omega Professional Moonwatch...
Beautiful watch, like old Daytona & old omega & old ap panda chrono
Probably my favorite Breitling. Might like this even more than the new Chronomat and definitely more than the Navitimer
I wonder how any wrist watch managed to survive but a few days in the trenches of the WW1. They weren't mud proof, water resistant or particularly shock resistant. Of course there was no sapphire crystal either but the trench watch got around that one with a few bumpers across the dial..
Just bought this piece brand new for USD 4900. Awesome watch!
Congrats. Does the markers have lume?
That's the best looking panda on the market IMO.
I like it, but I think if you want 1 Breitling, it should be a Navitimer B01 in whichever size fits your wrist best. WatchBox has a good comparo.
It's a good day when Watchfinder releases a new video.
Can you review Breitling Chronomat? I am really into buying my second luxury watch, and chronomat looks like it. But I am hesitating, 'cause it's breitling and not rolex
I picked up a Premier Wheels and Waves (steel) not long ago.... it’s simply marvelous.
I don't know if my request for this watch had anything to do with this video, but I'm happy I did it, and I'm even happier it's here.
Can you do a video on the Sinn UX?
Not a fan of Breitling watches, but I do like this one.
Gorgeous watch.. but I’ll stick with my Breitling Bentley 6.75 for now.
