While watching you tackling those header bolts, the thought ran though my head "man, stuff' s so much easier to work on in Cali. appreciate the time you took to post this video, i'm planning to do an engine swap from a salvage car thats an automatic in to a 5 speed, was wondering if there are any differences in tuning and if everything will bolt up.
The car didn’t need any tuning, everything worked fine. Mine was a auto to auto, so I am not too sure if you need any more parts for the auto to manual .
Through the hole on the block on the exhaust side, don’t remember where I put it on the other side. When my niece come by, I will have to look at it and see.
Im in the middle of my swap i reconnected the engine with the transmission housing bolts and when i use a socket to turn the pulley to turn the flywheel to line it up it wont turn any help would be grateful ???
You might have to separate the engine from the transmission and make sure everything is free, it’s always a good idea to make sure you can turn the engine before securing it to the transmission.
@@Jbpgarage thank you everything bolted fine no gaps only thing i noticed was the flywheel seemed like it was too far forward like it was touching the outside housing where you can see it through the starter hole??? Any advice would be great
Dear Sir. My Toyota Yaris has a 1.5 engine and I want to swap it for a 1.8 engine model 2ZR-FE . Could you please help me to get the engine mounts for the engine 2ZR-FE to be installed in my Yaris 2007 ? My Best Regards Antonio
Excellent brotha, would I need the ECU for the engine I drop in? The engine on my sisters car is losing slight compression and consuming oil. The cylinders are worn, it's running fine other then oil consumption.
Great job! Thank you for sharing, I learned a lot. I am currently swapping out engine on 2000 toyota echo A//T. Service Manual says trans and engine need to come out together. Do you know if Echo is the same as Yaris regarding removing engine without taking out transmission. I am going to give it a try this weekend and hope engine comes out ok. Thanks again.
Hey did you end up removing them together? Considering doing this job soon on my echo. Although I plan on changing transmission too I’m just interested to see what happened with you
Okay thanks wanted to try that with a complete 1nz engine (engine wiring gearbox,,,) because 1.3l is bit weak for long distance, did research the three mountains will fit, because I saw the car you were doing engine swap is same as mine, is there any difference between vios, yaris and belta?
@@Jbpgarage Ono is that a common problem on these 1.5 engines? Thank you for responding in a timely matter I guess I'll have to keep an eye out when I go look at it tomorrow..

Great video my man, showing all points on removal and connection. Peace to you.

Did you do it?
Did you get it done?
Does the Toyota Yaris 2011 have a chain or a belt?
Belt.
Timing chain
I don’t think so.
If your talking U.S. market 1NZFE yes timing chain
That looks like a lot of work, I can't remember where any that stuff would go.
Im doing the same, but my fly wheel aligns but it wont seal close, do u know what’s wrong?
Did you make sure you pushed the torque converter all the way in before installing the engine. They come out a little sometimes.

There is about an inch between water pump pulley and unibody. Will this be enough space to pull away and up from the A/T.
