    1980 last RTS 03 with 04 Kit with 8v71, later 1980 RTS 04 in 35 and 40ft with 6V71 and 6v92 engines.

    rts9100 Reply to your comments: His dad bought them from a junk yard in Puerto Rico. It is in this shape due to it already being junked for years in the past. He saved the bus.

      TheCRTman This bus is the hybrid (transition of the RTS 03 to RTS 04) specially the rear grills of the bus is from the RTS 04, this model is the last with the 8V71, later only offer the 6v71.

      Jorge Figueroa I believe this unit has a 6V71T.

    The air on bus is below 80, if the air clock is below 80, the air brake is engaged

    un T7H-604 RTS amigo, but ONLY if ir were naturaly builted en 1980 with there air condenser on top ir were not as fatter like there standard GMC coachers at tha time neithers a wells your known amigos so these here the 8V71 enging builted H coat GMC RTX Series II model 04 coachers amigo.

      No, this is RTS 03 with the 04 Series Kit, last units with 8V71, the RTS 04 only with 6v71 and 6v92

      You see the gap between the 04 kit and the original slope back of the RTS 03, and the air inlets on ths rear pork chop windows. The RTS 04 the air inlets on pork chop Windows are eliminated in favor of a complete window

      1980 T7H-603. The RTS 04 series begins in 1981, but first orders came in 1989, the San Juan AMA and New York City Transit was the first customers of the RTS04, AMA with 35ft. units with plug pantograph doors, and NYCTA with the 1st one rear swing out door configuration, this type of door comes in 1979 to the Washington DC Metrobus T8J-203 with 6v92 engine
