- Whilst I've ridden throughout the winter this has to be the best ride to start the new season.
My new ducati has been awesome and all the fears about changing the KTM Super duke 1290 GT have long since gone.
Whilst this video is longer than usual please indulge me!! Enjoy and please comment - especially regarding the Portugal gpx files please?

Unbelievable watching this, makes me envious of you all. Btw, those "rats" were moles. The mole catcher hangs them on the fence so the farmer knows they have been and they get paid by moles caught.

I'm.so sorry pal 👌 They do say your favourite bike is your current one. TBH I miss the 890r more than any other bike I've owned and you never know, if I win the lottery I might get another. You have an ace bike there and arguably other than touring or off road it is the best road bike in the last 10 years

I had the same problem with my MS V4S with my boot catching the left-hand side of the swinging arm. R+G supply a 3 piece boot guard kit which protects the swinging arm nicely, priced at £30.

I currently ride a 1290 SAS.
I might do that. I'm riding the Daivel v4 later this week. Yes will do a v4 vs v2 soon. Why would you go from the 1290 to the 1260 v twin? It's an older bike than the v4
@@stevesherlockrides The V2s is a 950cc. A bit lighter than the bigger Multi / 1260.
The sas is the business, handling just not 100%.

I’d vouch for the V2S, but then I’ve never tried the V4😉
On the rubbing R&G do a kits that sticks on the swing arm.
Yep seen that also. Have now purchased a roll of carbon egfect tape. It doesn't seem so strong though so might revert to the R&G kut

Awesome ride, wanting to get up that way more this year you don't happen to have a track or route gpx you could share do you as would love to make sure have some of thiese roads covered.
I did track it on the garmin so wil try and export it.

Steve, do you use a voice recorder or record on one of your cameras? Interested as your soundtrack picks up some of the dialogue too, hope you don’t mind me asking but hoping to record some rides on my V2S this year. I have a Insta 360 X2 and the Osmo Action 4, paired with the DJI Mic 2.
I record audio on the GoPro and link it also into the cardo packtalk bold to record the wider group conversations
