The ROPS has 3 position settings. Up, down and back. I never fold it fully down because of my Summit kit. When it’s in the up position pull the pins and put them into the other set of holes and fold back. It will rest on the pins. It extends past the backhoe, so it won’t hit it unless you try to use the backhoe while it’s folded back. Even then the only part that will touch is the triangle mount. At least that’s how it works on my 2022 2025R. The Summit Hydraulics kit can be ran in series so you have full functionality while the BH is connected.
That’s interesting to hear about the wheels spacers I asked my dealer about the spacers voiding warranty on my 2025r and was told they were perfectly fine and that John Deere use to offer them as a factory option. I’m only at 7 hours so far but I’m loving mine!
Great info. I did the same as you starting with a 1025r, selling it and buying a 2025r. The seat is also much more comfortable. I have the backhoe with thumb and box blade as well as auto connect mower , 120r loader and forks, 54" quick connect and 60" snow blade . want a tiller next but dont know what brand yet. This tractor does everything I need it to. Enjoy your videos.
Great video! You can run the backhoe and summit kit at the same time. I can help you figure it out if you like. The single point kit comes with washers to space the mast away from the side cover. Two stacked washers per bolt should do the trick. Looks like they don't do that step at the factory.
Good review. I have been watching all your videos since you have had both the 1025R and 2025R. I will be buying in next couple of months and torn between those 2. Glad to hear your thoughts on stability versus the 1025R since I much prefer the 2025R. Most reviews suggest the 2025R is less stable due to being equal in width, longer wheelbase, but having a higher cog.
Glad yours has been trouble free. My 2022 has been such a constant leaker that I’ve stared calling it the Exxon Valdez. Couple that with the dealer has been horrible on crappy warranty work. Enough of my crying, keep up the good videos.
That is why I traded in my 1025R. I had so many leaks and the dealer made it worse. It spent so much time at the dealer. My 2025R is so much better. I think it is certain machines and not all the 2025R or 1025R. I called John Deere to buy mine back and was able to get my dealer to give me everything I owed on the 1025R (18K) way more then it was worth and gave me a good deal on the 2025R I hope you are able to work it out.

Thank you for that. I will try it
I tried to do mine back, but the pins don’t fit through the holes. I’m gonna have to do some more investigation.

It really is an amazing machine. It works out of its weight class.

I really love my Rototiller. I don’t think it really matters all that much. What brand you get it’s just an amazing machine.
My 2025R has 140 hours. I like it. I do all my mowing with my X738 that I like even more.
I’ve never tried a X738. They must be nice

Yeah, I had wheel spacers on both. I definitely feel more stable on the 2025R.

today the tech came over to fix the last of the issues that I’ve been dealing with.”should” be ok now, I hope😀
@@joerubi03 I’ll be crossing my fingers
I agree 100% about the backhoe. 9k is a lot of money but i have only had my machine for a month and put 30 hours on the backhoe.
I am so glad I got it.
Just get a bigger tractor !
I would if I could afford one.
