When Eric is in the drum seat the band grooves so much better than the dates Pete has been there there. Pete lost it in 1977 and it never came back. . . . Eric shows up for EVERY show. Eric Singer deserves more credit, more love, from so-called die-hard KISS fans. Yeah, we get that he was reliable and professional, and that was crucial to the band's survival; BUT, his MUSICALITY and straight up chops allowed them to remain a legitimate going concern.
Eric Singer has one of the best rock drum feels (not fills) in the world. He interprets music in a unique way and that is a quality only great drummers possess. You can tell its Eric Singer playing when you hear a song.

Singer is a very good drummer. Carr was a fucking beast. Peter was a blues drummer trying to keep up. I loved the original line up, but Peter was always the weak link. Dont kid yourselves, just compare some videos.

Love Eric Carr. He is my favorite Kiss drummer and who motivated me as a youth to become a drummer. He was truly a good rock drummer and a huge step up from Peter. However, If we are honest, we have to admit that Eric Singer is otherworldly. He is world class and probably one of the greatest rock drummers of all time.
I'm not sure man, I just listened to Carr playing Creatures and it sounded really flat with no dynamics. On the other hand Singer stays back in the pocket and makes the song bounce. Just my opinion though

Nice too see Eric as himself and not the, 'punch the clock, yes man, with someone else's identity,' he has become. I hope he goes home on days off and REALLY plays the drums, the way he truly can. Top drummer.
When Eric joined the band is when Kiss's rhythm section stepped up a notch or two. Taking nothing away from Peter or Eric Carr, Singer's style suits the band better which i think is the reason he is still with them today.
peter criss was the best kiss drummer when all in their prime. people forget how peter criss could reall;y swing and had the best fills when playing live. go watch the live videos from the 70`s. he cant be touched
