Really fun game but I’m thinking maybe the 20% chance drops are bugged to actually have a lower chance, no evidence just a hunch

I had to farm 20 times to get a 20% drop. But I've also got a way lower drop rate item to drop first time. That's probability for you. If you're especially unlucky you could be farming certain missions for a long time.

For those "bugged" rates, it is likely that it is in fact "Dynamic RNG" - a patent from Nexon that changes rates based on different player metrics, like where you live, how active you play, how much luck you recently had etc.
Looked into it for my own video of the game im working on atm and there is no other way to explain those rates and i dont know ANY other game ive played in the past 15 years, where droprates felt off by such a large margin to the actual percentages (for context - i was at 40 runs yesterday for a 20% chance item and before that at 17 runs for a 38% one). As it seems getting sued for the droprates in Maplestory wasnt enough for Nexon.
That said... even if the rates were consistent, the grinding in this game is incredibly long, monotonous and boring, many systems are absolutely unbalanced and/or unrefined and some nice looking booty cheeks wont be able to carry the game for longer than a few months at best. They need to improve on things fast and hard in the coming weeks and months.

I finally got that piece, it was for Blair it took me two and a half days of repeating the mission. not saying your wrong or anything it’s just fishy you know and that’s just that one piece, it took me even longer to get the pieces for wave of light

@@CallMeTeci that makes sense I won’t lie and say I didn’t unlock Valby and Freyna almost immediately then really struggled with other unlocks

I'm still pissed at them for killing Combat Arms and pawning it off to a different company. 😂 But this new game looks decent.

We're hoping that gigantic 8.9 million dollar fine is actually making them rethink their strategy.

The monetization isnt great at all tbh.
In a game that will be 95% about grinding for stuff after the story ends, the time investment for a single character is outrageous.
We are talking here about ~50h monotonous grind for one Ultimate and this is simply too much for most players to consider that "Free2Play friendly". Warframe does a much better job at bringing some variety into the grind AND has its player trading system.
And i understand why it looks "fair" at first, because "they can be farmed in the game as well", while the actual drops are walled behind dropchances of dropchances of dropchances, making it really hard to get a good idea of how much work that actually is. Similarly how Nexon doesnt use a decimal conversion for their premium currency, but goes with 500c for 10 bucks, what makes it harder to calculate it back to the money equivalent of items than a 1:10 or 1:100 conversion like most other games tend to do.
And it is very scummy that they are purposefully offering currency packs that have either slightly less currency than packs in the shop or have significantly more.
So... no, its still very clearly Nexon that is publishing this game. Sadly. Not to mention the high probability of them using their "Dynamic RNG" systems (patented by them) in TFD, what will open up completely different discussions in the future.

Yeah anytime I see intense monetization (I'm looking at you Multiversus), I just accept that I'll probably stop playing in a few weeks
