If you need an acoustic-electric guitar with plenty of sonic horsepower and a rich, full-bodied tonal response, the Yamaha A3R ARE Acoustic-Electric Guitar is an excellent choice. The A3R ARE features a Traditional Western cutaway body made from solid rosewood and a solid Sitka spruce top featuring updated A-Series scalloped bracing and Yamaha's original A.R.E. wood-torrefaction treatment. The larger body makes the A3R ARE ideal for powerful strummers who crave volume, projection, and rich tone. It sports an ergonomic High Comfort mahogany neck, an ebony fingerboard with comfortably hand-rolled edges, an ebony bridge, and die-cast chrome tuners. The A3R comes equipped with onboard SRT2 System electronics featuring a piezo SRT pickup, EQ controls, and Blend control/Mic Type switch for incredible plugged-in sound and performance. Includes hard bag. - Видеоклипы
11/30/2020: I am thinking of buying this guitar, but I need to know: (1) What is the neck radius, and (2) What is the finish - Nitrocellulose, Lacquer, or Varnish (stick-on protection pads will damage a lacquer finish), or is it Polyurethane finish (stick on protection pads will not damage the finish.
ADDENDUM: I got the answers from Yamaha Corporation USA Tech: (1) 14" radius, (2) Polyurethane finish, which protection stick-on pads will not hurt or damage the finish.
In December 2020, I bought one and love it. The color of the top is matching and not two colors as seen in this video. It came with "heavy gauge" Elixer NANOWEB strings with low action and no buzzing. However, I put on Elixer 10-47 light NANOWEB strings, and it sounds better and easier to play and still has low action and no buzzing.
If I could recommend upgrades, this is what I would like: (1) Onboard tuner, (2) The control knobs have little stickers to put on top of each knob for "V" for Volume, "B" for Bass, "T" for treble. These stickers fall off. instead have the letters etched on top of knobs, (3) It has small fret wires, I would rather have medium jumbo fret wires.
All-in-all, it looks great (not a two-tone color top as in the video), sounds great, and well worth the price for a solid woold guitar with a quality thick and firm padded case.
Sir... Should I invested in this or a5r ?
Very nice guitar but don't like the top with the 2 different colours, not match well, I have the Yamaha FG-TA and love it, Yamaha are nice guitar
Me neither. It seemingly gives one an impression that the top is not a single plate made of solid wood. Look like two pieces of wood joined together.
I got this guitar and it is all one color on the top.
Why doesnt anyone talk about the action? Playability?
Because they wouldn't be able to sell you it if they said it was bad
@@JoesBrandonomics it isn't bad tho, it's actually really good.
What is the uses of battery in this guitar?
What year is this guitar?-p
Pls.review yamaha A3M compare.
i tried both personally and I can say that A3R has more bass than A3 M....... Actually I baught A3R for the reason that I love hearing Bass specially when plucking....
Man I'm tired of guitar reviews where the reviewer plays hard with a pick between the bridge and the sound hole, that doesn't really demonstrate the tone very good, just sounds super bright and harsh. Why do so many people do that, play some flat pick, some finger style, move the playing hand to different spots like over the sound hole so we can get a hear the full body.
I had watched reviews of this guitar and thought it was unimpressive sounding, too bright, no body or warmth. A couple days ago I saw one in a music shop and played it, I was blown away, it sounded WAY better and fuller than most of the review videos had demonstrated. It had a nice low end, it was warm and not it's made it's way to the top 2 options of my next guitar, previously it wasn't even on the list.
Hey Andy - just saw you at SNAMM18 and you lost weight.

Anyone looking at this guitar is obviously looking at playing live or recording... How about a demo of the preamp?! Way too much talking champ, I'm sure we can all read
