    This is the best value for a guitar I have ever gotten. Absolutely unbeatable, you won't regret it.

      friend, tell me, do the strings on this guitar buzz? What's the sound like on the lower frets? And is this guitar suitable for playing strumming, playing rock?

      @@user-zc4rn8no1j so I’ve had it for 3 years now, and the only complaint I have is that the frets are worn down from being played so often and so much. I play a lot of rock and metal on it for fun, it’s awesome for anything if you have a strong enough hand. How you play it determines its sound, and you can always switch between the pre-built “microphones” to entirely change the sound if using an amp or into a computer. For the price, it is an absolutely amazing guitar. I recommend getting it to a shop six months in and making sure the neck has settled as you wanted. After that, take care of it, and it will take care of you.

    Got one. Superb guitar. Does not go out of tune & the rosewood is a welcome breath of fresh air every time I play it. What resonance!

    I am ordering the AC3R sunburst from Giovanni Music & School of Music
    Mayfield Rd NW, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and this is one of the best reviews I have seen, thanks, oh yes, almost forgot to mention the Yamaha that I have at present, a FG413S, it's 12 or 13 years old now, but it still works, great for campfire pickin'

    I picked up a transparent black AC3R several months ago and I really like it. It has great sound and resonance. Action and playability are great as well. I mostly play unplugged but really enjoy the sound when I do plug in. Got it used and saved a bundle so it's a win-win all around. The AC3R just edged out a Taylor 210 I had been looking at. Taylor was great but I don't regret getting the Yamaha.

    Nice guy, nice review even for the older model. I know the audio was really suffering like the video mic was turned off, but oh well. Suprised FullCompass didn't do a video sound check before recording. Good spec info anyway. I have an AC3R new model & will be looking for the previous model of the same guitar.

    I've owned one now for about a year, played quite a lot, about 5hrs /week. I got one of the limited ones with the bear-claw figuring on the top. I have to say I've been extremely impressed with this guitar from day one. It really feels and looks like they did their best to make a copy of the Taylor 314, but the wood seems warmer, more "real". The ONLY complaint I have is that the preamp (while it sounds GREAT! - VERY versatile) burns through the batteries (two AA's) more quickly than most others. Playing at church one morning it was fine in practice, then I set it down for an hour and a half on stage (still plugged in) and when I got back up to play for the service, it was completely dead. I plug this in twice a week and I've had to change batteries every 2-3 weeks. Unplug your cable when not in use and it will help that tremendously. In the end, in my opinion the great amplified sound is worth the great sound you can dial in with it. I like it better than my K&K Trinity system that cost half as much as I paid for this guitar

      Kevin McSmith perhaps you need to buy a guiter wire with on/off switch...its easier,no need to unplug,

    I recently purchased this guitar and absolutely love it. Amazing sound and great playability. My only frustration is how fast the the AA batteries drain out. Even unplugged. I've had it about 2 months and had to change the batteries around 5 x. I'm not playing gigs, just in my basement. I was wondering if anyone knew why Double AA batteries are used to support this complex SRT pre amp? Why not a 9 Volt Battery? Should I be using Lithium AA's? Inquiring minds want to know! Thanks for any feedback. :)

    Yamaha electro acoustics in general are all very good and great value,but this AC3R for me does not sound as good as my 2001 CPX15WA with system 41. If you are patient try and find a CPX15 model with system 41 they can be less than half the price of this AC3R. Maybe this demo does not do the AC3R justice?

    Which is considered to be a better wood, rosewood or mahogany?

    • @kendan1839
      @kendan1839 3 месяца назад

      Depends on the person on what sound they want. Mahogany produces a drier sound, with more emphasis on the mids. Rosewood focuses more on overtones, more highs/lows, less mid sounds vs the mahogany.
