I started singing in Oct 22, and I've made a huge progress but since Christmas 22 I've been taking steps back for some reason, and I must say it's quite frustrating. I think I caught the four main points (below), but how do I know when i'm relaxed enough that I can start strengthening my larynx muscles?
    Relaxation
    Airflow
    Resonating spaces
    Strengthening the larynx muscles.
After work today, before I start my practice session I will employ your relaxation technique :), but how do I make relaxation habitual?
I would join your lessons, but I think our time zones clash 😭, but I will always support the easy to understand content that you create.

I need help to get out of my head while singing. I thought of putting on earphones... cover my eyes and boxing gloves on my hands. Where i force myself to just sing without... care... i don't know. Help please.

I sang in a band for years, and we would all sing together as a group. My voice always came out fine, with no soreness. But, if I sing alone it comes out all wrong and I get soreness after. I sing much quieter when alone too, and would practically shout in the band. I'm guessing with the band I felt more confident since we were all singing together, so probably more relaxed. Is this a common thing?

I think so. When I'm practicing, I usually start out by singing along an with the artist - after a couple runs, I do alongside an instrumental only. It usually causes me to break a bit, I'm quieter and do more 'weird' things. I don't have a guide, so it takes me a while to find my footing - about half way through a song I'm much more comfortable. I'm still really new to this and discovering new things everyday but this is something I've noticed the most.

@@THEhelloinsanityomg I relate so much. I've had this problem for YEARS. like when I sing with the singer or acapella it's perfect, but with the karaoke ? ugly af. sale when I'm recording, because I can't focus on my voice, I make mistakes because the recording is all I can think of. don't know what to do lmao

@@lechantdesmots97 my vocal coach told me to do each line one at a time, over and over, so I can get a feel for it and grasp it better. do that for the entire song. then do each verse over and over. it really is about making your body and mind aware of how and when to make noises.
I say this while I haven't practiced in 2 months... summers been.. . rough :/

      @@THEhelloinsanity thanks, i'm gonna give it a try !
and don't worry it's the same for me as i i'm not allowed to sing when i'm in my house so i feel you lmao
but don't pressure yourself, everyone slacks off a little during summer ;)
