This was amazing. Grunt+shaman combo, tc seemingly immobilized at every fight, 3 ports back to base... Seemingly game over but then tc breaks through the Breaker defenses to the casters and it's game over for HU. This was like a gold metal Olympic hockey overtime goal.
You've been my all time favorite player in the entire gaming arena, Warcraft, Starcraft, Dota, LOL etc combined.... and I'm Korean (with natural inclination towards Korean players usually) ! Really love it that you're still doing this after all these years :)
Well those spellbreakers are spell immune so they wouldnt take dmg from it I think. TC wasnt able to go to backline back he was getting focused... maybe he should have sold it for $$$ & consumables.

What truly baffles me is that the Classic graphics in Reforge actually look worse than in the original, especially the spell effects. That's how badly they fucked it up.

I remember back i nthe day when I played Wc3 and Grubby had like 1200 wins and 300 losses or something on the Ladder. I was always amazed by those insane stats.
I really think that breakers are stronger than rifles. I’m surprised we keep seeing rifles as the standard vs FS TC grunt shaman. With breakers you have so much more defence against the stomp. I think grubby won this game with the eco harass, Demu not punishing the expo while it was building, and of course on the back of a lvl 6 TC at the end showing some sweet dangles into the human back line. I think Grubby is right in that HU needs to skill into blizz once the shamans come out. Tough to find a good time to do that when trying to build a critical mass of breakers.
Fun fact: Seeing your face playing against another Pro looks quiete a lot like my little son when he's really into building stuff or drawing pictures. Only difference is that he still has his tongue out - a sign that his focus level went to 110% ;-)
Why did you keep the Cloak of Flames on the Far Seer ? Is it because the Chieftain was only in contact with Spellbreakers who are immune to it ? In that case, why did you not sell it ? I really can not see in which situations the FS dealt additional DPS because of it :)
Everyone talking about the lil itemization mistake of not having cloak on TC, which dont get me wrong, would have worked wonders. But is nobody going to point out the fact that grubby's wasn't wrong at the end. If arch had reskilled to blizzard, human would have won. His largest mistake was that Grubby had the resource advantage and hero level advantage this entire game, but didnt leverage it enough and gave the enemy almost enough time to win. Literally had DeMuslim bought 1 less spellbreaker and gotten blizzard, game was over for grubby, grubs should have ended it much sooner.
It's such BS that all human casters have auto-cast spells (heal, inner fire, slow, spell-steal) while orc casters only have one auto-cast spell (bloodlust at Tier 3). And their Spellbreakers, which are front-line troops, are magic-immune.
I was asking myself, what are these unit comps. Trading grunts into breakers should suffice. Then remembered the ridiculous fact that in TFT, where spell breakers were introduced, medium armor started taking 200% dmg from magic attacks. Human frontline choices are mostly just ass against orc. Rifles in the backline could have helped but then again this game was a huge contest for getting TC and farseer spell dmg past the spellbreakers and into the backline. Suppose the Spellbreakers were a good choice after all. Without that lightning shield ecorading, would we have seen gryphon play, what do you think? Interesting matchup!
Heavy armor is 200% against magic damage. Medium armor is only 75%. And breakers being magic immune take no damage from magic attacks. Breakers were the right choice. The combination of harassment and breaking through to the back line in the last fight to kill the casters won it. But grubby had trouble against the breakers. Grunts beat breakers, but not if the grunts are slow. No walkers mean the grunts had little way to not eat the sloes.
Glad to see more wc3 I do enjoy dota every now and then but I've been watching you since the old days, I can understand the move to dota as wc3 has been botched but I do enjoy these top tier games 😁
I just popped in here (I haven't watched/followed grubby in a while since I'm a sc2 fan more than a war3 fan) but I gotta say I'm surprised: The top ranked player on the warcraft 3 ladder scene is demuslim? I would have thought it'd be some hotshot young up and coming pro, not a retired sc2 player turned caster (no offense/dispresect to demu - it's just odd to me that an ex pro turned caster is top dog in another rts).
Why don't human players utilize spellbreaker's steal magic ability? Using it on wolves would force the other player to waste mana dispelling them and could potentially ruin their micro.
I've always wondered out of the million key presses you do in a match what percentage of the would you say are meaningful inputs as opposed to habitually key pressing.

Grubby is a class above with the goldmine aggression and battle sequencing. Although the number one ranked player was no push over.
Orcs vs Humans give some of the best fights in the game... You can feel it can switch favors in one stomp, one clap, one chainlightning or blizzard...

Well he has several years of being a top dog in WC3, it is the same as saying that Flash would now be bad in SC:BW if he turned caster last year.
