Exactly. Airplanes and the ability to fly are nothing short of a miracle. Kings and powerful men through history did not have this gift that many of us now take for granted. I always think of the Right Brothers and their vision every time I see or ride a plane.
tonebonetones not to mention hard working. I don’t believe that god just chose them to be magically rich. They clearly work hard on their business ya spooon
You don't have to be especially wealthy to fly. I paid my Lessons with my meagre apprentice salary. Took me 2 years, but it worked. That was 20 years ago and I'm still flying :-) But still not rich...
At $120/hr wet, just for the aircraft rental... yeah. That's considered rich by a lot of people. Particularly those who are struggling to put food on the table every week.
I love the realistic uncut version of this where you show what it's like to be nervous and talk your way through it. This was what I imagine I would do. Bravo on your first Solo BETH. 😁👏
Beth ur disciplinary courage ,taking cool decision through instruction within time, logical and emotional balancing, activated silancy is amazing to me. God bless u my child to successively increasing in ur confidence
Congratulations Beth! It always impresses me doesn't matter if it's a girl or a boy but when I see youth so confident and professional it brightens my day.
She says what I wish I could have articulated on my first solo, if I wasn't a combination of deer in headlights and mad scientist trying to think three steps ahead. Definitely the most methodical flight of my life, I was still pretty tensed when I started the drive home! I notice when she says it she's looking over. That's when it hit me, that empty seat.
no kidding! I was laughing out loud at work from her reaction....so funny and I am sure I will be the same way when I get my solo flight. Way to go Beth!
She's awesome, i felt the same on my solo, going cross country was a strange feeling too but my coke and pack of crisps on the empty seat made me feel better
I spilled cocacola on the control panel and I had to jump on parachutes, luckily the plane was not mine and fell on the house of a neighbor who did not seem good person 😁

Nothing comes close to that first solo experience. I recall mine back in 1980 in a PA38. And yes, it did feel so much lighter. Thanks for sharing Beth, great to be reminded of my flying days. Wishing you many safe and enjoyable flights :-)
Justin, I think she just said out loud what everyone of us thought at the exact same moment of our first solo. I cracked up when she said it, too funny. Congrats!
Really enjoyed this, thank you. I had the true honour to do a bit of flying (not take off and landing) in a 1968 Piper single engine last year. It’s the closest I will ever get in account if being blind but butter by it sufficiently to imagine his this must have felt. Congratulations.
Well done Beth👍🏽 Happy memories of my first solo flight from Laurel Airport, Delaware, USA in 1972. Your comment about the lightness of the aircraft made me smile. My extremely overweight instructor had just hopped out and suddenly it felt flying a kite that just wanted to go up and up and up. Best wishes. Jeff
it may be complex, but not hard once you understand de concept of each action. at least this is how i learn: i can't just memorize each step, i need to understand the logic behind what i am doing
The real fact is fly a plane is more easier than drive a car. When drive a car you need instinct by caution of traffic and fully manual control of your steering. but if you flying a plane, by just learn and remember all the instruments you will able to fly the plane... especially all aircraft have autopilot now.

HawxHunter I use to do that but u have to look at the very end of the runway. Once the picture gets bigger and bigger then that's how u know how much to pull.
