    I remember my first solo. As soon as I came off the ground I thought to myself, "oh crap, I'm gonna have to put this thing back on the ground by myself in a minute." Loved every second. Good job Beth.

    "Holy shit, I'm flying an airplane on my own." lol. Yeah, even after all these years, I still get that feeling once in awhile. I still find it amazing that we can take a big steel machine, take it up in the sky and be among the clouds. I hope I never lose that love of flying. Nor should you.

      Exactly. Airplanes and the ability to fly are nothing short of a miracle. Kings and powerful men through history did not have this gift that many of us now take for granted. I always think of the Right Brothers and their vision every time I see or ride a plane.

      The real fact is fly a plane is more easier than drive a car. When drive a car you need instinct by caution of traffic and fully manual control of your steering. but if you flying a plane, by just learn and remember all the instruments you will able to fly the plane... especially all aircraft have autopilot now.

    1:35 - That's exactly what I said - "God, it's lighter!!". Everything happened sooner and quicker.
    2:00 - Once again - ditto!!! I was a bit more colorful, though....
    6:00 - Not sure why the carb heat is being turned on and off. I'll defer to your CFI, though...
    Congratulations on First Supervised Solo as PIC

    I'll be doing my solos within the next 8 months or so, I find everything easy enough except landings, I find it really hard to stay level and just put the plane down smoothly, I either flare to much or to little which usually ends in a bit of a bumpy landing lol, I fly a Cessna 152 if anyone's curious

    • @PilotCristina
      @PilotCristina 7 лет назад +1

      HawxHunter I use to do that but u have to look at the very end of the runway. Once the picture gets bigger and bigger then that's how u know how much to pull.

      I have the same problem, this is what I do and it's really important you do this in sequence: 1. be on center line 2. wheels must be lined up (some left rudder helps) 3. I look at halfway down the runway 4. USE SMALL MOVEMENTS to pull back no matter what you do (force yourself). And fly consistently, muscle memory works here...
