Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.

Sultan Süleyman olarak padişahlık hayatına başlamıştır.
Bu sırada, Karadeniz üzerinden içi köle yüklü bir kadırga, İstanbul’a doğru gelmektedir. Kölelerden en ateşli olanı ise, kaderini değiştirecek olan yolculuğa çıktığının henüz farkında değildir. Geri dönmek için çaresiz bir şekilde isyan etmektedir.
Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

You know why Sultan likes Hurrem so much? Firstly of course she loves him like crazy, and she treats him as her lover always and never frightened unnecessarily. She is so refreshing and girlish and frank while speaking to him. She doesn't hide her feelings or exaggerate ,and most importantly She makes him LAUGH which no one else can do!

IRL shortly after Suleiman acceded the throne, he lost three children from three concubine mothers...his oldest son, youngest son, and a daughter. His middle son, Mustafa, survived so Mahidevran rose in rank in his harem. Suleiman loved Hurrem before for her cheerful disposition, her intelligence, and wit. When he returned from campaign to find she gave birth to their son, he was elated and she became the mother of five more of his children; no other woman had children by him.
Merihdian seems like he just wanted to sleep with once or twice and move on. Hurrem he wanted forever. I don't understand why people that are so anti hurrem can't see that and call her witch as if that doesn't happen constantly in real life unlike witches which ain't real lol

@@teriboots4629 Source? All actual historic accounts I have read show he had four children (with four different concubines) as a Shezade and then six children all with Hurrem when he was Sultan. No other children with any other women at all.
Suleman had 2 sons with Gulfrum, they both passed away. That left Mustafa and the 7 children he and hurrem had. I read different things on the internet.

6:29 - 6:42 Suleyman makeup as a 20s really nailed it. In maybe 3 years after filming this scene, his makeup as a 70 years old man also remarkable. Not many actors can do this. Now I wonder what if Maryem didn't leave the show, how would her makeup turn to be. Her final appearance as mid 40s did convincing to me. She was in late 20s at the time of filming.

In the series there is lot of artistic freedom and a lot of fictional situations - the episode with Leo is fiction not history , the marriage between Ibrahim Pasha en Hatice apperently is only a theory - so you should all relax and enjoy instead of discussing fiction like it is a history . . .

Suleiman was 25 when he first met her and she was 16 or 17 so not bad for those times and Suleiman is described as skinny , delicate faced and a little facial hair. U see people describe Hurrem as a seductress but she was merely doing her job and fell in love and her and Leo would never happen because she would be executed along with him so it’s not worth it, she lived for her kids I would have done that, YOU ? 🤔

I'm not sure these events actually took place, otherwise she would have lost her head, in real life.
