You obviously have never owned anything. When you lease a place you are only leasing it. It doesn't belong to you. Anything that you damage, you are 100% responsible in replacing it. If someone leases a rennovated apartment or house , why should they eat the cost of fixing the damages that have been caused by the careles tenant???

I have had one for 20 years. If you use the proper scrubber and cleaner and clean up any spills before using the range top again you can keep it looking like new with very little effort.

those new stove tops look like garbage within months, I had a brand new one and i swear it looked like it was scratched from the inside after cooking. it is awful. My older one we had to replace was 15 years old and looked almost new after all those years. there's something with these newer appliances ....
