They don't play hymns like this in church anymore. That old woman killed it on the organ.
Wait a minute... that sounds like Rock or Roll...
Hey Marge, remember when we used to make out to this hymm
well it killed her
All Simpson's jokes aside, come down south and see how music is played in church.
@@rationalconservative386 south where? Antarctica? Samoa? Argentina? Brazil? Australia? New Zealand?
If you're going to this church I want to go I've been listening to this for decades amen
Wait a minute... This sounds like Rock and OR roll!
Hahahahaha the Simpsons ❤️

Lmao!! I caught that
I am 79 years old loved that music then and still do....I still have that same album and cover
Classic song, but don't forget folks that Led Zeppelin literally blew them off the stage in Jan1969 Filmoore East. They actually refused to go on after the mighty Zeppelins performance!!
It is probably worth a fortune now, but who can put a price on our memories of youth?
Nice!
My old man too..
Rock on Oldtimer! 🤘
RIP Doug Ingle..The torch has dimmed, but the fire burns hot..
Just doing a marathon of iron butterfly today. For the Memorial Day and fond memories of my youth and respect for one of the finest groups of rock and roll RIP Doug forever in my heart.
Bart Simpson: Get your hymns here! Get em while they're holy, fresh from God's brain to your mouth!
Homer Simpson:Hey Marge, remember when we used to make out to this hymn?
Reverend Lovejoy: Wait a minute, this sounds like rock and/or roll!
I love that episode

It's that voice....draws you in....
It was 50 years ago... My little sister had called me, I was stationed in Saigon in Vietnam. She told me about a revolutionary music... She made me listen to the beginning of the song. I will never forget this moment...
You say so much in so few words. Thank you!
When I hear this song, I will forever remember your comment. Thank you.
Did she get you a plane ticket out of there or were you living like a
'the Saigon Sultan'? :)
Thank You Very Much For Your Service, n Thank your family for their sacrifice.
My brother Bernie was in Viet Nam at about the same time. I'm 64 and play this song all the time bringing me back to those days. I was almost sent there but thank God it didn't happen. Steppenwolf is also a very good band with fantastic memories.
Thanks, Iron Butterfly, for this great gem! RIP to all the members too
Iron Butterfly rocks psychedelicly. Great musical gifts.
Rest in Peace, Doug Ingle, you legend!
Doug Ingle had a cool voice. Very masculine and needed now.
The best rock ‘n’ roll song of all time. All time.
Wait a minute ... This sounds like Rock and/or Roll !!
RIP Ron Bushy ! ( December 23, 1941 - August 29, 2021)
Now you are in a garden of eden !
One of my fav drummers, Heavy, In A Gadda Da Vida and Metamorphosis are my best albums by Iron Butterfly.
My favourite church hymn
Today is June 26, 2024. I'm 77 years old (22 in 1968!). This is my FIRST TIME hearing the whole 17 minute version. Wowza! ❤ I moved from SLC, Utah to Hollywood, CA in 1968 ☺
That’s awesome.
Happy belated birthday day…this was a big hit when I was a young teen in the 70’s, this song out of nowhere just popped into my head, had to force remember the title…good thing search kinda figures out what ya want. Good times…..
love love this song. it's the best drum solo ever. I was 17 yrs old when I first heard it. awesome awesome
I was 13 when I bought the ALBUM! Listened to that so much that I and all of my friends could "do" the drum solo, beating on the kitchen table with our hands!
"Wait a minute, this sounds like Rock and/or Roll" 🏐
Hey Marge, remember when we used to make out to this hymn?
What was your first clue lovejoy

Y ahora, levántense y cantemos nuestra pieza de hoy..... En el jardín del Eden de Iron Butterfly
I was a long haired young man living in L.A. This song and all of the other great music of the time formed my being. Peace.
This song is so pretentious it hurts
Piece to u la.
YES! real church tunes
Best song probably ever graced the airwaves in my book. Bad to the bone INAGADADAVIDA
RIP Ron Bushy. We will always rock out to your great song and groovy drumming!
You have no idea how much ... the Jimmy Hendrix of Drums.
Just iconic. RIP Doug Ingle
This sounds like Rock and or roll
R.I.P. Doug 🤘🔥🤘
No they don’t. Do this church. My god. Love this I’m 73. Blew it out in a 69 Torando downtown Kansas City. Late nite. Fantastic
My very first concert as I was 12 years old. I think the drum solo was at least 15 minutes! I loved it because my dad was a professional drummer.
I was 20 years old, bought the album as soon as I could, still have it, still one of my favorite pieces to enjoy
One of my fathers favorite toons! Rest In Peace John F. Spaulding. Love n miss you Dad!
Yeah, it's a "toon" alright.....
RIP to Doug Ingle (1945-2024) 🤘😥
My goodness, my daughter forwarded this link to me. The unique sounds and rhythm transport me back to my freshman year in college (1969) . Amazing, thank you!

R.I.P. Doug Ingle.
A masterpiece without a doubt......
Never knew the vocalist's name but the voice and the music were imprinted in my mind as a young high schooler. Of course almost everyone knew the name of the group. RIP Doug Ingle.
I've been alive for 22 years and this is the first time I listened to the whole song.
My favorite church hymn 🎶🎶🎶🎶
Many years ago (when I was in my twenties) I rented an old farmhouse out in the boonies. In the summer I'd put this on and crank the stereo way up on high. Didn't have neighbors close so I could do that.
I did too ....
Sounds like a lovely dream house!
This was my first concert. I was 4 year’s. My parents are still alive and we are still all rocking
Wow! Pretty cool!
This song has always been the bomb... ❤

Rock on!!! 😊
LOL - Oh,. the memories. One of my older siblings bought this album for me on my 11th birthday - mid June, 1968. I did some heavy rocking out to this masterpiece.
I was 11 in 1968. I had to listen to this at a friend's house, My dad ( GOD LOVE HIM ) was in the Air Force so hearing music like this in the house was taboo. Later he lightened up. That was the year we went to Madrid Spain for 4 years. I learned long version or short version. What a great time ! Lord I miss it !
My birthday was also June 11
The best rock song of the sixties. Long live Iron Butterfly.
More power to them.
Hey, Marge. Remember when we used to make out to this hymn?
heeee shhhhh
Talk about bringing down the house, this song did it back in 68.rock on!!!!!!
Inside during the winter, cold days outside. To sit around and meditate to this. No drugs. Just played it over and over. Born in 57
Whether you’re here because of The Simpsons or because you’re an Iron Butterfly fan. You were brought here because this song is a masterpiece and you’re a legend!
I'm here cuz of Titans when Scarecrow was dancing to this.
Only ever heard the song on the Simpsons before that
Or your bf pointed out that the intro to Riboflavin by 45 Grave is from this song
An epic of psychedelic rock. It is that unique astral vision that appears every ten thousand years.
I had the pleasure of listening to him for the first time in a hippy's studio while he was making his craft.
I bought the album in 1968, loved it then and still do.
I have this album since 1968. And it's still in good condition. Great song
Es un tema mitico, peŕo para mi lo mejor con diferencia es la GUITARRA.👍👍👍👍
In'68 a carload of us headed for the shores of L. Mich. north of Chi town one summer Sunday. It was a convertible so the top was down and In The Garden...was playing, full blast of course. It wasn't until we had parked the car that we heard that the entire beach was listening to it as well! A cosmic Day for sure!
RIP, Doug Ingle.😢
Got my 1st set of drums in 1970 and practiced until I was acceptable. Loved it!
Esto es una joya de la música...
Una obra maestra con una batería y un órgano perfectamente coordinados
Hasta siempre Doug Ingle (1946-2024) el último integrante original que quedaba con vida de Iron Butterfly
My age. I was born 1946!
ROCK + ROLL + DRUGS = HISTORY....
Man this heroin is tha shit! 🔥 🎉Rainbow
Back in the early 90’s me and my two friends were driving around in the one friend’s grandfather’s field in a 71 fury listening to this
Excelente tema de Iron butterfly muy buena mezcla de batería y organo
This was their one shining moment , but what a moment. Drum solo is best ever. The original " Manhunter " hooked a new generation 🎸 !
Wait a minute! This is rock and or roll!
Holy shit. Wow. I BOUGHT this ALBUM when it came out. Must have been around 12 or 13. I got SHIVERS listening to it right now!! I'm 67!!
Oh man. Born in 57. When my buddy turned me on to this shortly after it came out and he used the word "Its heavy". That was the first time I had heard that word. Thanks MAV
so glad i discovered this
Yo viví la época hippie y está pieza era lo máximo
Fantastic…. There were great memories attached to this tune….😂✝️♥️
IRON BUTTERFLY Muy Buena Banda de Rock Mezclado el Sonido de: La Guitarra, El Bajo, La Batería Espectacular, El Órgano y está Dulce Melodía.
I-Ron Butterfly
la escuchaba mi padre super pacheco en su tocadiscos a todo volumen¡¡¡ era genial
1969 maybe 1970, The Spectrum in Philadelphia, Rock & Roll Festival, it seems like the In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida drum solo extended out to almost 30 minutes........... Iron Butterfly, Steppenwolf, Jefferson Airplane, and too many others for me to remember. Atmosphere inside a fog of smoke seemed thick enough to get you high without ever having to light up your own joint
Pink Floyd was like that in 1995-96 North Carolina Walnut Creek. Fun times... 🤣🤣
Wait a minute, this sounds like rock and/ or roll!
Had this album in high-school!
😲😲 Wow brings back such good memories, just don't have music like this anymore
Drummer's the star of the show
Organ is pretty sick too
The guitar is the star
All three are sick
Haha! 😔 😔
@@tomaswildanger5238 you don't agree?
Baltimore MD radio station in the 60s would play this as the least song of the day. Back then, the station went offline at midnight. This really takes me back.
I love this song!
Un momento esto parece un esquizofrénico rock and roll
I was 14 when this came out and at the time every kid wanted to become a drummer and perform the drum solo of this tune.
I was 10, now 65yr. Sail on.
The best and most recognized drum solo ever
Many have tried, but fail to compare to this masterpiece!
Two words . . .
Neil Peart

His voice sounds like a 80’s pop rock hit maker.
Finally found this song, always thought they were saying, “in a garden of evil”

I’m an old man now but this group was my first concert I saw. Dallas Texas... 68 I think 🤔
In memoriam singer songwriter Doug Ingle.
I have the CD!! I remember going to a Higher Elevation on Sunday Nights, just so we could listen to the Uncut, 17 minute version on AM Radio!! That was 1969!
Sounded like fun 🤣🤣
I miss those times...
La escuché por primera vez a los 14 no la entendí mucho pero me gustó mucho ahora a mis 37 ya la entiendo ya me hace volar ya hacía su propósito no tanto
Still love the song all 17 minutes of it
I was at a dance in San Francisco in 1970 and the band that played was Iron Butterfly. This song is 17 minutes long. Somehow the name evolved from the title "In the Garden of Eden"...
its so good to go back to the good old days and here and now too!.
Far out, groovy, and excellent!😎❤👌
A commercial in the middle of the fuckin song!!!!!!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!
This sounds like the happiest music when I was the happiest in my whole life and I wasn't on drugs to be happy the music was great and the friends around me were great
Yes! IT was great times to grow up in!
"Hey Spence, let's trip out" 🤘🏼
I love this song
They truly conquered the phrase acid rock ‘n’ roll
Thats the best song I've ever heard an still to this day its the best 👌 👍 😍 ❤loved it when it came out an still listening to it today at 72 years young👍✨️🙌👏👌

It is the combination of organ and the incredible drum solo. a long time ago, but a revolution at the time...
Groovy. Boss. Righteous. Far out.
Maybe it needs to be a bit longer. Just seems short
Cliff Newsted yea its should be about an hour this is way too short
They need it to go on long enough to make a church organist pass out.
😂 😂 I think that was meant sarcastically!!...
