Olivia O is magnificent, go anywhere ship. The owner certainly knows ships. He owns and manages a fleet of commercial vessels. He also knows how to save money, employing Philippine crew.

What kind of family life of crews like how often they get time off and vacation or what kind of contract they have? I know about big shipping companies and cruise liner, they hire for 9 month contact and 3 month vacation then they have to sign new contract. Is the same situation here or different? Can some one explain who knows or worked in yacht like this one, not the big companies. Thanks.
Oliva o is a weird looking boat
It's because its builder mainly builds industrial/oil/gas offshore support vessels. It's the equivalent of someone going to Peterbilt or Freightliner and saying I want you to build me an RV. This is considered an expedition/explorer luxury yacht. The owner of this vessel seems to want it to go to the arctic regions. The hull is designed for navigation through ice. Most Mega-yachts wouldn't go anywhere there's ice formation.
