I remember years ago my cousin and I ran into Stevie at an MCW show. Super nice guy, the three of us shot the shit for about 15-20 minutes outside the venue. A group of fans came over at one point and I heard one guy ask his buddy… what’s his name? His buddy said… that’s Stevie Nicks. 😂😂 til this day my cousin and I still laugh about that. 😂

Jarrett came off great. Hogan and Bischoff came off looking like two thieves in the night. No clue why Meltzer is involved with these things. Overall, I think the show made the relationship between Bischoff and Hogan the antagonist. I think having more of an emphasis on Booker T being the next face of the company would've provided some balance to the show as it's probably the most significant part of all of this.

The difference between Bash at the Beach 2000 and the Montreal screwjob was that McMahon was smart enough to run with it and become the great villain, which lead to Stone Cold standing up to the evil boss! WCW wanted to sweep it under the rug, which is what other people in WWF wanted to do in 1997! If the owner of WCW had Russo's back, they probably could have taken Bash at the Beach to create new stories and developed something that eventually helped the ratings.

I was explaining to my wife why Vince gets so much heat. First you have Cornette. He's mad because he lost his spot on the creative team and Vince and Ed replaced him. And actually did a phenomenal job. Cornette can complain all he wants but the fact is the product sucked while he and Bruce were handling creative. WCW had the WWF against the ropes until McMahon made the move. Btw Dave Meltzer believes it's because of Austin and the Rock. I guess people forget how badly they were booked before Vince took over and helped mold their characters. This leads me to why Bischoff hates Vince. Eric was riding high for 83 weeks until Vince and Ed found the formula to spank him and Eric eventually got demoted. To make matters worse Vince and Ed gets hired by WCW and started to turn it around in the ratings. Then the politicians started to play and got Vince and Ed removed. Eric can act like he came back with good intentions when he begged Siegel for his job back but his plan was to bury Russo anyway he could. I believe Vince and Hogan had a plan for Bash 2000 but Eric got in Hogan's ear and the rest is history.... Btw their tournament idea was horrible... I don't get why Hogan had a problem with Booker T winning the belt... He acts like Booker was trying to hook up with his daughter. Smh we know he feels about certain people... 😂😂😂😂

Fuckin hell, I always miss these by like 10 mins. Uncle Vinnie, your interview with Chris Van Fleet was awesome. Don’t do any more episodes on DSotR, because they will always find a way to bury you. Like Stevie said, burying you is like the equivalent of starting a “U-S-A” chant. Cheap pop among the IWC morons. Lance Storm is a nobody. The only success he ever had outside of ECW was when you had the pencil. Talk about “biting the hand that fed you”… For him to bury you on a regular basis, just shows how ungrateful he is. Then Bischoff saying “It’s not like Hulk took this to multiple courts, like the Supreme Court”, then immediately after, the subtitles read (I’m paraphrasing) “For the record, the Supreme Court of Georgia found Hogan’s case to be frivolous, and also denied his case & threw it out”. It was like an instant reaction, showing that Bischoff was lying. Typical behavior among the anti-Russo figures in the industry.

It's in his contract. Thats the first part of this that's wrong, secondly, why in the hell would you try to fool the boys when all of this is a work? Russo has a patern of trying to work everyone which again, is exactly what you're not supppsed to do in this business.
Hogan and bischoff definitely knew what was going to happen and it was a WORK BUT you can tell even today, hogan doesn't like being called bald, or old and russo called him both of those things in his promo... and right there, is why hogan didnt want to come back.

That's on WCW, not Hogan. WCW offered him that contract, with that right in it, and they signed, just as Hogan did.
And the infamous January through April 2000 period. Kevin Sullivan has stated that he wrote different stuff to what ended up on television, but some talent had the right to change it, and so they did. @@kevinlee9929 Actually, Hogan DID have carte blanche.
He also had the right to change the finishes of his friends' matches(eg. Ed Leslie, Brian Knobbs).
It seems strange, but remember that National Crockett(85-88) lost a fortune. The 88-94 WCW lost a fortune. Meltzer or Cornette may talk about "five star matches", but the fact is for years on end that company was a financial disaster of epic proportions. Nearly everyone in Turner wanted to just shut it down, but Ted Turner kept it alive.
When Hogan was brought into WCW, for the first time in an eternity, WCW MADE money. Then they made tons of money, got great sponsorship deals, became cool instead of a punchline, and just kept growing and getting more profitable. At that point, giving Hogan those clauses in his contract made perfect sense.

@@JCLopez209 So he offered money to hurt Hogan just because Hogan didn't want to stay with AWA or his daughter.. and neither he was pushing Hogan as the top star.. so that's Vernes problems.. any sane man would leave that..
As far as HHH Steph Chyna stuff goes.. Trips may have dumped Chyna for Steph.. but that doesn't necessarily means that he became a top guy because of that.. Vince was always high on him and he even was supposed to win the king of the Ring 96 which ironically resulted in rise of Austin 3:16..
If it wasn't for that curtain call incident maybe HHH would have been the main face of Attitude Era..
