Thank you for the shout out and including our picks as a part of your bottle haul! That’s really cool! Thank you very much! I hope you enjoy them when you taste them! And that Jim Beam is solid and a limited release
I cant wait to taste em all! Thanks buddy!
Good lot of bottles my friend 👍, I see many people are doing dry January and props to you and them 👏, I haven't had a dry January since around 1972 🤣 . My dad had his first dry January ever this year because he passed away in October at 95 😉😅 Cheers and Happy New Year Buddy ☕️
Sorry to hear that about your dad!
I am not sure I feel any different at all, but I hope by the end of the month I will have made some difference. Cheers 🥃
Sweet haul, and sweet jacket! I do dry Monday through Thursdays lol!
That is a cool idea. Might do that when this is done.
very noice haul. That christmas spirit sounds super interesting. happy new year and cheers
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
That jim beam winter reserve was surprisingly good. Me and a buddy were saying how much we wanted to taste it at higher proof (110 area)
And a double barrel whiskey for that price is killer no matter what.
It's really good at a higher proof, I totally agree, it would be a BANGER!
The found north. Snuck into my cabinet as well. The balcones is the same whiskey that doc had on the bling challenge we did. Different barrel obv. Super cool haul. Thanks buddy. Dry out a little.
Oh that's awesome!
That Nana’s kitchen Old Forester is pretty amazing. I would also recommend their Wild Turkey rye pick.
I havent tried the OF yet, but dang you are right. The WT rye is fantastic.
Thank you Domingo!
Hopefully 2025 is as good of a year for finding great bottles of Bourbon as 2024 was , I was amazed at how many great bottles i found this past year . a few of my favorites were Savage and Cooke custom blend finished in 3 different wine barrels and their Cask strength finished in Zinfandel barrels , and they distilled their own juice too 👍( California) I heard that they got acquired by Redwood Empire recently so I stocked up on these.
That Savage and Cooke sounds WILD! Cheers 🥃
Picked up the FN season4 pick in Spanish, US and I’ll have my hands on a French soon.
The Spanish needed a few weeks of air.
The US was killer right off the bat and was most similar to the batch 10.
Nice to hear! I might have to look for more.
That Coy Hill looks familiar. LOL Hope it's great!
@michaelreagan9219 thanks again buddy! I didnt include the other bottle as I am going to include that as part of a trade to get a Parker's heritage.
@@yourdrinkingbuddy Nice, always look to parlay!!
Great haul 👌
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
Kudos to you and everyone else on the dry January. I’m observing as well. Exactly the same reasons. Reset. Rest. and then also check if any dependencies have got ahold of me. 11 days in and seems to be okay.
I appreciate the support of those not doing dry January too. Most everyone has been pretty cool about it but there are a few folks that like to shit on the idea for some reason.
I too am still looking and purchasing if an opportunity presents though 😂.
def not stupid. stay healthy and safe 2025! cheers!
Agreed buddy!
Cheers 🥃
Lol... i think i have that same jacket i bought off amazon for a new years eve party. Same white pocket square and everything.
Probably! I dont spend much on that type of thing. Saves money for more whiskey lol
Jim Beam winter reserve. Underrated bottle of 2024
I agree completely!
Going strong through day January! Great haul, lots of awesome bottles to try in February.
Absolutely! What have you grabbed lately?
I am also going strong in dry January, found two bottles that i cant wait to try, Penelope Havana and EH Taylor straight rye, they will be a nice treat come Ground Hog Day!
That's awesome! Cheers buddy
No dry January here, but I cut out at a different time of the year. Great haul my friend
Cheers buddy 👍
I have a season 4 Found North heavy smoked in American oak that's delicious. I'm sure your bottle will be as well.
That sounds great!
Great pickups! 🥃
What have you gotten recently!?
@ Stagg 24C, Copper & Cask Cigar Blend, Midwinter’s Night Dram Act 12 Scene 8, Preservation Distillery 6 Year Wheated Binny’s store pick, 13th Century Barrel Strength, 2 Horse Soldier 10 Year Barrel Select store pick, Sagamore Port Finish Rye, Tumblin’ Dice 9 Year Rye, and Proof and Wood The Presidential Dram. 🥃
When are we getting a Found North YDB pick? You were an early days supporter of theirs surely they would offer you a pick that your channel members can get?
I believe I could get one if I asked. I need to find the time. But I absolutely will!
I don’t do dry January, I do a month, from Valentine’s Day to st patty’s day every year. I refuse during nfl playoffs to not have a cocktail or two….or more. But it’s not stupid, it’s smart and healthy, good for you. That middle west sounds interesting for sure. Cheers DB
That is a smart way to go about it! Dang. I wish I would have thought of that.
@ next year, the body don’t care, it just responds, 30 days is 30 days, the health is what’s important. Also, as a fellow drinker, add fresh lemon juice to your water, helps detox and cleanse the liver from the fats and crap left as a byproduct from the alcohol, not just that month, in general. Older DB will thank younger DB
Great shout out to the Barrel Shoppe, my local joint. Hotalings "Old Potrero" is tied to Fritz Maytag and Anchor Brewing/Distilling
This makes so much since! The art on the bottles is even the same!
What was the price in the Coy Hill? Looking hard for one but don’t know what’s reasonable to pay
@ABQfitness i traded for it. But the guy who grabbed it for me got it as costco, so just below MSRP. i would likely pay $250 for coy without even thinking about it, and would comfortably go up to $350 if i had it in the budget. Especially if I didnt have one.
I think dry Jan is stupid, I am also doing dry Jan! :)
Nice! Good luck!
Where is the best place to trade / buy bottles?
Local Facebook groups are the best probably. Or join a closer nit community. I do have a great one here!
Awesome, been forever since I caught a premier... Correction, I missed it by a could seconds
Dang! Still glad you watched!
Isn't bottleshoppe CA shipping only?
@dominiccampos7297 they shipped to me in AZ, but this is Barrel Shoppe. Maybe a different website?
No they ship all states and they have a storefront in California. Pretty sweet shoppe.
I thought it's Old Po-trer-o, not Po-er-to.
You are probably right!
