Its amazing just how far the whole RC industry has come over these past few years!!! Just simply crazy of how these rtr vehicles have advanced in technology for very low prices!!
Things I had to do was balance the wheels, upgrade the batteries, add the bumper bar {not included} and add a lipo to the tx. It's been repaired a few times being used by my grandson, but seems to be a great starter buggy
Hi, thank you, two weeks ago a friend gave me his old rc car. it was unknown to me than i discovered it was an HSP monster truck. with this video now I know more. For the records 6 years ago I bought a KYOSO 1/8 buggy DBX RtoR and, in Italy, costed 285,00 € without battery and charger..... it is good but fragile... Ciao
Wow, you've been getting so many bashers and buggies recently, that's awesome that you're widening your RC horizon! 😂 This thing looks so cool, I always forget how good of a company HSP is. Thanks for posting! 👍👊😉
Oh boy it definitely is the best, I've had no issues with it its lasted longer than my krston 6s. I even had to chuck this ones servo in the kraton even tho I have had this one for 4 months now I've had kraton 2 days and servo went :/ Im always gonna be buying these planets nothing else ever again.
a friend of mine got this hsp 1/8 buggy ...2nd session bash the chassis already bended and the front arm was broken twice left and right...he did not bang anything but only bump jump mishaps land...the kit was abandoned months ago...now hes happy with the used typhoon that he bought at lower price than this brand new hsp ...i guess the only worth spending hsp kit for me is the 1/10 wolverine...hsp did make that kit abit different from they traditionally would
I still have a BZ888 1/8 from Hobby King when it was relevant and they didn't have that useless website that killed them it was only $250 AU 3s 4s 3000kv very solid but crap wheels though like all there RTR.
People have to realize that it is always cheaper not to buy an HSP buggy. Buy a used buggy from a named brand instead and throw in 100$ in hobbywing combo+servo. Even a new cobra 811be RTR is way better and it is on the 400$ tag.
I just picked up a nitro version of that buggy. **edit** the center driveline drive cups are made of soft metal. my nitro buggy chewed thru them after about a gallon of fuel. the shafts and pins are fine...but the drive cups at the bulk heads are trash. the front and rear lower arms are extremely flexible....which sound good for a basher, but any accidental crashes causes the drive shafts to bend.
back in my day you could get a thunder tiger MT4-G3 which was 6S ready and am absolute beast. The day they stopped selling the G3 was a sad day for this hobby. Now TT has this eMTA model which is pure garbage
Everything I’ve owned HSP has been a Redcat knock off. Except the HSP versions I’ve had lasted longer 😂 I just got a Shredder, bad servo out of the box, centre diff didn’t even last through 2s 5200s running up and down my street.
Team associated used to have a 1/8 RTR buggy but discontinued it Team Corally have a 1/8 buggy as does Arrma with their Typhon.. Hobau has a 1/8 buggy in almost RTR as well as RTR... Team Magic has the B8ER 1/8 Buggy. Price wise they are most likely more than the HSP ..
@@666impreza666 haven't seen that one.. shops here tend to only stock certain brands.. let alone the main Traxxas , arrma, axial, etc.. .. team Corally is getting some space but not everywhere..

No shortage of trolls in this hobby.
I like these budget RC buggies or trucks, but how easily obtainable are spare suspension, or transmission parts?
Did this take 3S?
You’re gonna have to build more shelves soon lol.
I will not change my attitude thank you sir😮

Fantastica...bel modello... ciao dall'Italia
there is a rally version from HSP that looks cool.
@rc review would you consider selling your Planet buggy?
That's a real nice buggy,well worth it I'd say👍👍
Great control.
Thank you for that!

Mine lives on 4s and is a blast. The oem radio was garbage though. Terrible delay and range.
I just bought one today and was hoping for this comment. my hobby guy said it could do 4s too lol... lets find out :D
Super ...bel video.... ciao dall'Italia

I think the plastic from a milk carton is more durable than that body?!
looks like an inferno MP7/Neo

Too bad it's not a true 8th scale. No big 4S motor and power.

Hobau has a 1/8 buggy in almost RTR as well as RTR...

Yup, many alternatives for just around 100 bucks more. All of them with much better quality/components and parts availability.
n they all lasted alot longer than this HSP...even driveability feels far better......
Serpent has a great 400$ RTR
