    Love the intro! It's exactly the same with motorcycles, as if bouncing them up and down in the showroom simulates flying down the track. Sweet suspension, dude!

    Thinking on picking this cap up in the spring for some club racing. Last time I drove an 1/8 scale was a nitro car back in the 80's.
    Cheers!

    Like you mentioned, it can easily be a competitive club racer. Tire swap and a few other mods, TX/RX swap and tuning, she'll podium at alot of clubs. Additionally, 40+ drivers like me enjoy seeing her in the A Main lineup. Ask me how I know..LoL 😂

    Now we are talking! Got myself a decent collection of Infernos and now I'm including that one to it. Well, the TKI version to be more precise. Kyosho knows a thing or two about making true racing buggies and has never dissapointed me in that sense.

    This is nice from Kyosho. There arent a lot of option for those of us wating racing perfromance & lightweight out of an 1/8 RTR package. I just wish they used hex hardware

    This would be a solid first buggy for someone getting into 8th scale. Swap out electronics, tires like GV is doing and tweak the shocks a bit and you can have a go in novice or sportsman ebuggy

    • @superchargerone
      @superchargerone Год назад +4

      Why swap out the electronics? The existing ESc and motor is surprisingly competitive and will drive on 4s all day without problems. The servo is also decent enough. If going to change out all these then Better to use the money and buy tires or else put the money on electronics upgrade towards the higher end mp10e kit

    • @butchmeister80

    Does competition model like this can move backwards on its own in case it hits the track corner? If not mistaken, the nitro version can only brake but no reverse.

  • @nsbob70
    @nsbob70 11 месяцев назад

    YEAH! What's up with no shock botts on almost any cars these days!? Phillips type hardware should be made illegal. Idunno what's all the rage with these new "cab forward" looking bodies, but to me, old school nitro boy, they look really goofy! Seems to have plenty of oomph on that track, launches off those jumps really really well it seems! I have 20+ year old Inferno MP7.5 sports that I was considering making electric. After going through the manuals, and parts diagrams, and putting together a wish list on AMain's site, my list got to be over $250, and that was just a quick, seeing the obvious parts I'd need, attempt, and not including speed control, or even a body, so I thought might make more sense to just buy an entire car! Anyway, great review! You really started to gel with the car on that track. Nice to see an RTR run that well out of the box, but of course, we are talking Kyosho!

  • @mafracao
    @mafracao 4 месяца назад

    Last year I got myself a MP9E Evo v2 RTR to go back to club racing after 20+ years out of the hobby.... Long story short: If you plan on going to a proper racetrack and actually race, go for a used "pro" car or a pro kit. The amount of $$ I've spent on upgrades and parts for my MP9E RTR is significantly greater than the money I would have spend if I got a "PRO" car right away....
    The RTR's might look like the proper PRO kit, but the amount of parts that are swapped for less expensive ones really hurts its durability, specially on track use. Shock towers, chassis, steering knuckles, shafts, shaft cups, ESC, motor, steering servo.... and the list goes on...

    For the price I’d buy the Arrma Typhon TLR “Team Losi Tuned” 6S which comes with pretty decent electronics, 2050k motor and 150A ESC. I have nothing against this buggy or others but a bit high in price for “entry level” w/o any electronics. sweet video though!

    I'm sure that buggy handles well for an rtr, but it just looks cheap. Wide chassis, crappy hardware, plastic diff cases, etc....my buddy uses these cars (previous model)for local races and they do decent but shock towers are made of butter, along with hinge pin block issues, and a few other failures that shouldn't happen. It is fast tho. It just looks and feels like a wish rc to me
