Exactly what I needed to see, left the hobby almost 14 years ago, looking to get back in and was looking for a club car I can just dive in with again, this seems like the perfect car and everywhere ive read it seems like a fantastic driver
Love the intro! It's exactly the same with motorcycles, as if bouncing them up and down in the showroom simulates flying down the track. Sweet suspension, dude!
Like you mentioned, it can easily be a competitive club racer. Tire swap and a few other mods, TX/RX swap and tuning, she'll podium at alot of clubs. Additionally, 40+ drivers like me enjoy seeing her in the A Main lineup. Ask me how I know..LoL 😂
Now we are talking! Got myself a decent collection of Infernos and now I'm including that one to it. Well, the TKI version to be more precise. Kyosho knows a thing or two about making true racing buggies and has never dissapointed me in that sense.
This is nice from Kyosho. There arent a lot of option for those of us wating racing perfromance & lightweight out of an 1/8 RTR package. I just wish they used hex hardware
No hex! Kidding me? Best looking buggy no doubt but the Serpent will be tougher and the TLR Typhon is another choice but the Serpent is about the same price.
Does competition model like this can move backwards on its own in case it hits the track corner? If not mistaken, the nitro version can only brake but no reverse.
This would be a solid first buggy for someone getting into 8th scale. Swap out electronics, tires like GV is doing and tweak the shocks a bit and you can have a go in novice or sportsman ebuggy
Why swap out the electronics? The existing ESc and motor is surprisingly competitive and will drive on 4s all day without problems. The servo is also decent enough. If going to change out all these then Better to use the money and buy tires or else put the money on electronics upgrade towards the higher end mp10e kit
YEAH! What's up with no shock botts on almost any cars these days!? Phillips type hardware should be made illegal. Idunno what's all the rage with these new "cab forward" looking bodies, but to me, old school nitro boy, they look really goofy! Seems to have plenty of oomph on that track, launches off those jumps really really well it seems! I have 20+ year old Inferno MP7.5 sports that I was considering making electric. After going through the manuals, and parts diagrams, and putting together a wish list on AMain's site, my list got to be over $250, and that was just a quick, seeing the obvious parts I'd need, attempt, and not including speed control, or even a body, so I thought might make more sense to just buy an entire car! Anyway, great review! You really started to gel with the car on that track. Nice to see an RTR run that well out of the box, but of course, we are talking Kyosho!
Hopefully you can respond to my comment, 8 months later...lol, but it is easier to drive with front weight distribution design than a more traditional design? When it jumps, does it have a tendency to nose dive due to this design? Thank you for your respone
Last year I got myself a MP9E Evo v2 RTR to go back to club racing after 20+ years out of the hobby.... Long story short: If you plan on going to a proper racetrack and actually race, go for a used "pro" car or a pro kit. The amount of $$ I've spent on upgrades and parts for my MP9E RTR is significantly greater than the money I would have spend if I got a "PRO" car right away.... The RTR's might look like the proper PRO kit, but the amount of parts that are swapped for less expensive ones really hurts its durability, specially on track use. Shock towers, chassis, steering knuckles, shafts, shaft cups, ESC, motor, steering servo.... and the list goes on...
For the price I’d buy the Arrma Typhon TLR “Team Losi Tuned” 6S which comes with pretty decent electronics, 2050k motor and 150A ESC. I have nothing against this buggy or others but a bit high in price for “entry level” w/o any electronics. sweet video though!
Its funny when crawler and basher owners comment on 1/8scale racing cars😂 For the price it costs I would rather go Caster Racing or Typhon TLR ...no doubt.
I have a question if some kind of radio-controlled car like traxxas trx4 or arrma kraton 4s v2 or 6s v5 or something the same practical or fast and plus or minus 1/10 or 1/8 scale from cheap not under $ 200 or $ 300
How was the metal parts wear like diff outdrives ? if RDS they usually wear out really fast ... hope that's not the case here.... it used to be so in MP9 RDS
I'm sure that buggy handles well for an rtr, but it just looks cheap. Wide chassis, crappy hardware, plastic diff cases, etc....my buddy uses these cars (previous model)for local races and they do decent but shock towers are made of butter, along with hinge pin block issues, and a few other failures that shouldn't happen. It is fast tho. It just looks and feels like a wish rc to me
Exactly what I needed to see, left the hobby almost 14 years ago, looking to get back in and was looking for a club car I can just dive in with again, this seems like the perfect car and everywhere ive read it seems like a fantastic driver
I would enjoy a series of you running and tuning this buggy to compete locally
no one does a more smooth buggy than Kyosho ! always been top notch in my book
Love the intro! It's exactly the same with motorcycles, as if bouncing them up and down in the showroom simulates flying down the track. Sweet suspension, dude!
It flies and lands so smooth. Amazing , makes me want one bad!
Thinking on picking this cap up in the spring for some club racing. Last time I drove an 1/8 scale was a nitro car back in the 80's.
Cheers!
That buggy looks gorgeous
That thing flies so sweet, I think this is what my Son is getting for his birthday! Great Video Greg, and you're driving Great!
Omg that thing is awesome. My first rc was the kyosho altima chain driven 4wd. Thing was a tank. Took a beating. I just might look into this one 😊
What weight shock oil do you run and also any other advice for mine
this buggy has shown that it can not only drive well on the ground but also glide through the air so smoothly too!
Now that is a buggy i must have in my collection !! Awesome video mate
Now we are talking! Got myself a decent collection of Infernos and now I'm including that one to it. Well, the TKI version to be more precise. Kyosho knows a thing or two about making true racing buggies and has never dissapointed me in that sense.
Great looking buggy, just a bummer they didn’t go with hex hardware
Yup. Why I went with a TLR Typhon instead. Very impressed with it btw over the 10e and I own plenty of Kyosho stuff.
I'll tell you right now get a jis screwdriver and you will be ok stop using Philips on these
This is nice from Kyosho. There arent a lot of option for those of us wating racing perfromance & lightweight out of an 1/8 RTR package. I just wish they used hex hardware
Yeah man, the cheaper Fazer MK2 lines comes with hexes..
No hex! Kidding me? Best looking buggy no doubt but the Serpent will be tougher and the TLR Typhon is another choice but the Serpent is about the same price.
Does competition model like this can move backwards on its own in case it hits the track corner? If not mistaken, the nitro version can only brake but no reverse.
Great driving you rip it up looks like a awesome rtr👌
Great review. The MP10 looks good. I'll have to add one to my collection next to the MP9.
hello what batteries model in this vidéo pleaz?
Wow what a great buggy and track 👍
WHat a smooooth machine!!!!!!!
I love mine so much, that I haven’t used it as I don’t want to damage it!! 😮
Maybe I missed it, does it has sway bar /stabilizers on both rear and front?
Wow looks awesome and goes so well love it 😊👍😃🥇Pete
Kyosho making some nice RCS especially their nitros 🙂
We sell a ton of these at train's and Lanes. Anyone comes in the shop and wants to start racing sportsman they grab one of these and go have fun.
As someone who is getting into RC’s after a 20 year break now with 5 and 7 year old boys: Would you guys recommend this Kyosho in 1/8 or 1/10 scale?
I was just looking to get into 1/8 scale. How does this compare to the typhoon TLR
I wish he would answer this, but seems like he doesn’t give a fuck what the comments say tbh
much better. TLR is a basher, not a race car like mp10.
Love kyosho. I hate finding parts available 😒.
This would be a solid first buggy for someone getting into 8th scale. Swap out electronics, tires like GV is doing and tweak the shocks a bit and you can have a go in novice or sportsman ebuggy

Or drive it as build designed and tested be just fine don’t need racer snobs swapping bits
@@superchargeroneexactly surely it’s good as it comes been tested and built the way it is to race why swap stuff if rtr

Does it run with a 6s too?
It looks realy realy fast what did you feel?
I this it's. " J.I.S" for Japanese international standard. I've not used one, but it's said to be a better fit. True fit
Good information thanks
i need a 10t ready set
How long does it run per charge? Thanks
That buggy seems incredible
Looks awesome! But, between all RTR'S, i'd go Serpent SRX8 for sure... nitro as well!
how the hell do I adjust the breaking stregth???? I cant find the menu point in the remotecwtf please help
hi, wanna ask.. how is this compare to the asuga xlr 6s?
Hopefully you can respond to my comment, 8 months later...lol, but it is easier to drive with front weight distribution design than a more traditional design? When it jumps, does it have a tendency to nose dive due to this design? Thank you for your respone
You should try the mp9 one.
Better at the track than the Typhon TLR?
What would it take to make this a truggy as far as the gearing?
Do enjoy a good buggy on track
How fast is this car, 40mph?
why is the gear underneath exposed like that? seems out right stupid to me :o
Plz explain
to prevent main being blocked by a stone, it might also loose a tooth
I would replace every screw with hex hardware
Wonder how it compares to the Radix 6?!

NIIIIICE 👌🏻
Do you guys think this is worth the extra $100 over the mp9 evo v2?
yes. batt setup is better
Kyosho is absolutely killing me with the Phillips screws..its 2023 c'mon its kills the entire look of the RC.
🧐 How many Japs does it take to change a lightbulb?
👉 Japs NEVER change!
After dealing with HPI screws which are as soft as butter I’ll take Phillips any day!
Hex strips way easier than Phillips, to be fair.
Buen análisis!, harás también uno del modelo Nitro?😊 gracias, un saludo desde España.
Looks decent see this as a good entry racing buggy :) and cheaper 1000 cheaper lol
It comes with electronics. It's an RTR
No way would I get a arrma over a buggie maker that between them and associated have almost won a half century worth of world titles
Its funny when crawler and basher owners comment on 1/8scale racing cars😂 For the price it costs I would rather go Caster Racing or Typhon TLR ...no doubt.

I don't wanna build it tho
First upgrade get rid of the cast aluminum steering blocks they are junk.
It s a KYOSH'O BR'O
WTH does it have crosshead screws?😂😂
Was all in until I seen Philips hardware! That’s a hell no
Just use a screw driver bro
Heads strip out so easy
TLR Typhon is better albeit heavier I’m sure 😢 come on Kyosho! Phillips head screws bro?
It's jis not Philips and it's not a problem if you use the right driver
Lord have mercy on my wallet.
Well it would have been great had they put hex screws. But I'm not buying that and replacing every screw ... come on Kyosho you can do better!!
I stopped watching the vid when I saw Jas hardware.
A shame they dont use HEX screws. That is my nr 1 reason not to buy it😢
Why so overpriced?
I'm sure that buggy handles well for an rtr, but it just looks cheap. It says MP10. So it should mean it is 1/10?
Nah, it's oversized big ass 1/8
0/10 meh.
It’s the successor to the mp9 1/8th scale buggy bud.
Philips head screws?
A+ JP
Its ok but nothing special, your paying big money for the name.
For the price, kyosho need to upgrade this in at least 5 areas of the chassis.
